Close to the lot of restaurants
Place is very old. Rooms needs bit of renovation work. We found torn curtains, scratched walls. Electricity had gone in one apartment when we switched on an appliance in kitchen. We didn’t get any help.

On a trouvé facilement, on avait une place de parking juste à côté. Le quartier était très joli avec plein de commerces, bars et autres.
Nan rien

Lokatie was goed.
Rouen is geweldig
Zaten op vierde verdieping. Steile trappen naar boven. Ellende. Geen lift. Appartement oud, vies en gedateerd. Aantal zaken waren niet aanwezig of kapot. Zeer af te raden voor ouderen, mensen slecht ter been en ouders met kinderen.

The apartment is in a central place of Rouen’s old town, on the fourth floor of a medieval house, with a fantastic view on the Gothic church of St. Maclou and its surroundings. It is spacious and comfortable, provided with everything necessary to a couple of days’ pleasant stay. The doors worked with codes, so it was extra easy to get in. I will certainly come back and I also recommend it to everyone else.

Very run down. Smelly towels . Expensive compared to local hotel we later found. Wife refused to stay more than one night and we booked a hotel.

Everything impeccable and as advertised on the site. Fantastic and attentive host.
Only worth mentioning there are three levels of stairs to get to this particular apartment. No problem for us, but might be an issue with other people.

Great location in the centre of town.
Entrance hard to find as not like advertised. Fridge, cooker we’re dirty. Didn’t use any of kitchen items as felt unclean

Central location, easy to get keys at any time
A bit noisy during the night if you sleep with open windows

The location was spectacular. Parking was available just down the street and it was an easy walk to most anything. We loved the skylight windows on the top floor, especially after dark…beautiful view of the church steeples and the moon.
Our room did not have a functioning washing machine which isn’t the end of the world but it would have been nice to know before we threw a bunch of laundry in.

We stayed for 2 nights, with 3 young kids and it was great. The place location is superb! right in the middle of everything so you don't need a car. There's also a free parking 12min away. The place is big, in the 3rd floor (only steps) and has everything you need - dishwasher, washing machine and full kitchen. The beds are good. The view from the windows is also very nice.
The host was very welcoming, and the checkin was easy.

Location was wonderful. Very easy to arrive and host quick to answer questions.
Parking on the street is a hassle (overnight free but not during the day)

Kitchen not very well equipped. no kettle or toaster. stove didn’t work

The apartment was very nice. It is in a cracking location. Right in the heart of town. Bob's burritos opposite was very good, restaurants and bars very close. The light show on the cathedral is excellent, and under 10 minutes walk away. The one bedroom was a good size with wardrobes too. The children slept in the living room one on a sofabed and one on the single bed located there.
The free parking is a good 15 minutes walk away, there is paid street parking outside but it is very busy so it's a good idea to unload your baggage before heading to the car park. The host didn't provide bedding for the sofabed and single bed, which I understand is common in France. The photos on the advert must be for the whole block as some of the photos were not of the apartment we stayed in.

Marvelous place with nice view and location

I liked the location very much as its in central old town.
Where to start!! From the front door and up the stairs straight into the flat was in a very bad state. So bad and disgusting that i didn't want my kids to even touch the banister. The stairs have missing tiles and very dangerous. Once you enter the flat!!! OMG!!! The walls are all stained and disgusting to look at, the fridge and freezers where dirty, the oven !!! Lets not go there... but lets say mould was on the bottom shelf. The floor was filty, the sofa bed had pillows that stink. The table had paint coming off... shocking! Felt like somone was living in it and had just left without the place being clean. In other words the only good thing was it had hot water and im glad we were only there for one night. All this is backed by images i took with my phone. Images on this site are not even close to the real thing.

Literally Nothing. you neither know where you will stay because the picture of the rooms are related to more than one apt, but you don’t know till the end which one is yours…
Simply needs to be renovated and all the furnitures changed. Many things are broken, dirty and/or unusable.
Starting from the building entrance the stairs seem to be under construction or bombed! I’m the house…the bathroom is awful, washing machine old like the building (took hours to complete a wash, with poor results), second bed dusty and uncomfortable, dust everywhere, sockets out of the walls, door handle broken, stained towels, no curtain to the windows in the second bed room (so at 6am is like sleeping in the open air), I could keep going for hours…
This is the first time I write such a review… I often closed an eye when something was wrong… but this time I feel outraged. Booking.com should not accept such situation and should provide a prompt reimbursement!

Great location with access to restaurants, shops, parking. Room size and amenities.
Challenge to get the entry code, but was worked out promptly. Location not easily located - no signage, but was in a good location

This was our second visit to Quartier Sant Maclou and we cannot wait for the next one. Excellent location, great facilities and very good service from Gilles. The location of the apartments is excellent, very close to the city centre, but away form the more noisy areas. Easy access to public transport, bars, groceries, bakeries, and other amenities. A Sunday market locates jus a couple hundred metres away from the flats, which means easy access to fresh (and overpriced) fruit, vegetables, cheese, and so on. Excellent location for a short break, or a work visit to Rouen. Highly recommended.
There is nothing wrong with the facilities. Only a word of advise for the unaware traveller. Quartier Saint Maclou runs several flats in the same venue, which means that you can have the most accessible ones in the lower floors, or the less weak-knee friendly ones in the upper floors... and there is no lift. So, if you have a problem with climbing steps, it would be a good idea to contact Gilles upon booking, and let him know that you would be interested in a lower floor apartment. Said that, the flat we took this time in the attic has gorgeous views over the area, with the light in one of the large churches being a very special treat.

Very nice and clean

Proximity to the town center, the view is amazing, the owner left the heating on so when we arrived it was nice and cosy
The bathroom had a leak, the oven was dirty, the wallpaper was ripped - but nothing that prevented us to enjoy our 1 night stay

Good location in the town centre
Fourth floor and no lift. Not ideal if you have many bags.

Almost everything. The location is excellent. Off the main tourist route, but still in the city centre. A couple of minutes walk from the Hotel De Ville, close to restaurants, bars, boulangeries and fromageries. There are two small supermarkets and a wine monger in less than 10 minutes walk. Easy access to the trains either by bus or on foot.
The studio is easily accessible. Although I can not put him a face, Gilles was there to help. Before arrival I got the passcode for the doors, and, when requested, I got the password for the wifi in less than three minutes.
The studio is well equipped, a good sized fridge, and a neat cook. A coffee maker is also available. There is a microwave, but I am not into such technologies so, as if it was not there. There is a washing machine and dish washer.
The toilet is clean, and the shower has good pressure and the temperature of the water is just the right one.
The street is lively and busy, but the noise is not a nuisance. Well ventilated.
The bed is comfortable, sturdy and clean. Enough store space and three tables for working. There is a TV that seems to have an offer of on-line services, but I just brought my own HDMI cable and used it as an extra screen for my laptop.
I will certainly be coming back.
Everything was fine. No complaints. If i was to change something, it is maybe the sofa, which has clearly seen better times. The management can also make an effort to renew the towels; but being self-catered accommodation, well, you can always bring your own towels if that's a sensitive issue for you. Oh! There is no iron, which is an inconvenience if you are visiting Rouen for work.
Spoiler: the studio you rent is not the one in the photo.

Great location. Not difficult to find. Guaranteed parking (that has to be paid for 5 minutes away), free parking apparently available but we couldn't find a space. All good.

Location was amazing!
Toilet was leaking, was not clean, pictures did not match the booking.
