Was an alright place to stay. Having to pay for parking sucked.

The place is very nice and well located. It might be a bit noisy on the weekends for this reason. The rooms are comfortable, and so are the bathrooms, although out of three toilets, two were out of order. The staff was very attentive and helpful.

I stayed here 2 nights out of 3 (Oct 8th and Oct 10th) while I snuck in a flight to Vegas (on Oct 9th) for the Avs road hockey game. Since my round trip flight to Vegas was a No-Tel trip, the Hostel Fish allowed me to keep my bag in storage until I came back for my second reservation. Which was perfect for me! They have a bar that’s open until 2am. They offer an acoustic open mic night on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. Also each Thursday at 8pm you can pay $10 for the Pub Crawl that starts with a free drink in the Hostel Fish bar and discounted drinks at the other bars on the map! They also have a kitchen, a place to practice up on your darts 🎯 game! Bring some quarters (or your credit card) to play pac-man too! They also have some common rooms available and I noticed an elevator! Bathrooms are clean and secure!
It’s basically located on the edge of downtown Denver. If you’re making a trip for a Rockies baseball game you can easily walk to Coors Field that is just 2 blocks away! One of my favorite hangouts is the Giggling Grizzly which is about 1 block away. I also noticed a cool pool hall about a block away but I didn’t stop in to check it out. I can also walk to Union station and get a train to the airport in less than 10 minutes, and for $4, I could take a scooter to Ball Arena for an Avs/Nuggets/Mammoth game, it’s also very doable to walk it. I had a great time at the Hostel Fish! Wish I could share more but I’m running out of characters remaining!

Nice spot near downtown Denver near the stadiums and shops. It can be lively and noisy for some people as night time tends to be bar crawl hours, but I'm a deep sleeper so it's not a problem for me. Nice price and convenient stay.

I called SPECIFICALLE to see "if i come in now, will there be a bed for me?" She said yes. Got there later waz told no. "She said she told me no. Have to wait for checkin." Had to wait till checkin.

Cons: I didn't realize they don't have towels, so that was an inconvenience. The privacy curtain didn't block the entire length of the bed, and I sleep cold, so the room set to 74 and a tiny fan did nothing for the amount of sweating that happened.
Pros: location was great for what I was in town for. The bar inside is convenient, the staff is friendly.
I think for a night, this is a great spot for the price, but I stayed 2 nights, and I am olllddd comapred to everyone else there, so the temperature and no towels would have me stay somewhere else next time.

It was a great experience. Friendly staff, walkable area. The only thing i felt was missing is they could use benches in the shower area to set your things on so they don't get wet and make it easier to get dressed

I came to town for a Rockies game and I couldn’t have had a better stay. The hostel is an easy walk to the stadium and Union Station, where there are plenty of excellent restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. And for the price given the location I’d say it’s quite a deal. My bunk was comfortable, the showers and bathroom well-maintained and the lounge was a perfect morning meditation spot. I would stay here any time I come to Denver and I would highly recommend.

My overall experience at this place is awesome! Second time staying here. Upon arrival I found the bed accidently unkept but it was no problem upon letting front desk know. They immediately cleaned and changed my sheets and then all was right. The crowd is younger and chill. The room I stayed in above the bar was exceptionally quiet, maybe because it was a Tuesday night? But overall I enjoy this place. Close to downtown, open kitchen vibes, bar and balcony for social gathering. waking distance to everything downtown.

Super friendly staff. They made me feel welcome and recommended to the best places to eat and drink. Facilities were clean and everything worked

Rude staff gave the run around that address on ID needed to be more than 30 miles then when told my partner was there for 1 night from Pueblo more than 30 miles he then
said neefed out of state ID to stay there and denied already paid stay.
I requested refund from Expedia but have not heard back in a week.

I was in the process of a spiritual
Journey and somehow found this place through divine intervention. First time ever staying at a hostel and I was quite impressed . It was clean , unique, and offered a lot of private space to think, write or just meditate. The area around it is very interesting, but the location is very prime and I never once felt threatened or unsafe.
If you want an off beat experience to become more in tune with your soul and not your flesh. This is the place .

This was a surprise for me I thought I had book a hotel not a hostel. But everyone was polite and nice. On the night of July 4th I wasn't thrilled because some random roommates were loud getting in and took longer than I'd like to settle in(it's the 4th I get it). But other than that I would highly recommend this place

No parking. I did not look before I booked so it is my fault however I had to wait until the bar tender made drinks before he would check me in. It took him 15 minutes to mix one drink honestly. Everyone was in slow gear and all stoned. I waited 5 mins to check out before the young stoned man even looked up and that is only after I said something. He was so out of it. Unless you are a young stoned kid do not stay here. Btw no tv and only two towels not hand towels or wash cloths. And only public parking in a dangerous lot that was full of drunk kids partying all night and driving in and out. I was almost sure that my car would have been smashed up this morning. I got lucky but it was a bad night. Parking sign said $12 for 24 hours. I ended up paying $25 for 12 hours and had to buy 4 more hours in the early morning to complete my stay.

Paid for the most expensive private King room here, for multiple nights...and it was so insanely loud with bass playing and all sorts of noise pollution from nearby bars/"Derby Day" or whatever celebrations I was bombarded by noise until after midnight. After the first night I cancelled my planned third night of staying there becaus ethe experience was so bad. If I wasn't so exhausted from travelthat first night, I would have gotten no sleep. I would strongly avoid this place if ANY noise from nearby bars/loitering crowds is going to annoy you. Noise seems to be a common complaint among reviewers. This place needs to heavily invest in soundproofing all private and sleeping rooms. ....That said, I saw other people complain about bar music downstairs...I'm almost positive the loud sound and bass I heard was from a block or two away outside the windows, not from under my feet. Also, for the price paid, a small TV or something could have been mounted on the wall. It felt overpriced once I was there - I don't recommend to anyone if they actually want rest.

Really cool building, comfortable and accessible accomodation, centrally located. What I did not like was the young men working there having no respect or awareness. It was clear they all know eachother and neglected their duties to have very personal conversations and inappropriate public speech and behavior. If you dont mind dude bros talking about their d!cks, it won't bother you.

At first glance, the hostel seems great. It’s huge and within an old Victorian style building. The staff is friendly and there’s a bar. However, after a night or two, you realize that sleep is nearly impossible before 2AM. There is loud, very loud music that plays til the bar closes.
The climate control is strange. My room was 58 degrees one night, when it was raining and snowing and then almost 80 degrees when the weather was warm outside.
The bathrooms are very clean but the rooms need a serious deep cleaning. The floors, baseboards, filthy. And there seems to be lacking maintenance, as my first bunk’s privacy curtain was half off the track.
If you want to party and drink, this hostel is perfect. However, if you want quiet at night, look elsewhere.

A bit loud during night but the vibe is impeccable, they provide earplug also. Don't forget to bring your AirPods. Beers are inexpensive, bathroom is clean, you will have a good time there.

I was in a 4 bed dorm. Stayed one night. Each bed had a fan, light, and outlets for charging. There were lockers available for securing your belonings so remember to bring a lock. One shower stall was out of commission but there were two others available in the same bathroom, and they've probably fixed the broken one by now. The shower stall had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available in place. Not sure if they supplied towels, I brought my own. Stayed one night and had no problems.

Hostel Fish was very clean, great central location, and super trendy. Lots of nightlife right outside but my room was quiet enough.

Great location, staff wasn’t the friendliest and were often rude during my stay.

Just an over night on my way home from a ski trip. The staff was terrific, offering assistance with getting my luggage and skis up the front stairs! Easy check in, great proactive communication with arrival details and directions. Comfy bed. Thanks for a great stay!

If you're looking for an affordable option in the heart of Denver, and don't mind sharing a room? Then this is the place for you. Easy connection to and from the airport; Friendly staff; walking distance to cafes, bars, restaurants, and attractions. Rooms and common areas cleaned daily. WiFi, fresh towels and amenities such as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, included. In-house bar with daily happy hour specials, is popular with both guests and locals. Weekly guest activities and pub crawl.Would definitely stay again.

Good place to stay. It is close to Union Station only 15 minutes walk.

Solo 1-day trip. The hostel was clean, especially in restrooms. Check-in/out was a breeze. I was out mostly, but it looked like a cool place to hang and everyone inside was respectful. Cool decor. Great atmosphere. Great location central of downtown. Plenty of scooters around to use. If I revisit Denver, I would stay again.

Very hip place that’s reasonable, safe and clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

I liked the aesthetics of the hostel. Each room had a different theme. A full service bar, friendly & curteous staff. It was located downtown and close to train station. The drawbacks were the stairs, there was an elevator, but did not go to all floors. Other than that, I would recommend this hostel.

Really appreciated the earlier check in. Staff really ready to help and be flexible. I wish kitchen was bigger and it was warmer in the hostel especially now the weather has really turned cold.
