Check in went well and the room was as expected. But the window in our room wouldn't close and there was no staff around to help with the issue ,we looked before going out for food and again when we got back as it was still before their end of check in time. Lucky for us we took ear plugs with us so the outside noise wasn't too unbearable or I'd have given a lower score.

Nice affordable hotel in a great central location in Skipton. We were met by a very polite member of staff who showed us to our room. No problems to report, we will definitely stay again when visiting the area 😎

Had a great stay. Checking and out was easy and straight forward. Room was clean and a good side with a lovely ensuite shower room. Modern and light and airy. A good size wardrobe , tv and sound system.

Check in was fine. Friendly and helpful. After that no service of anykind. By which i mean a three day stay used towels removed but not replaced, bed sheet never channged, not sure the duvet cover was changed from.last guest.

I arrived to find that no food is served at the hotel so after a 6 hour car journey this wasnt ideal, also the bar wasnt open so again not ideal, room looked nothing like the pictures and it felt more like a hostel than a boutique hotel

Hotel was adequate. Could have been cleaner round the edges and window frames etc. Toilet roll holder fell off.
Strong smell of weed throughout the whole stay. Really comfy. Nice clean towels and bedding. Spa bath was easy to use and quite big. No Toiletries. Excellent location. Would stay there again

To call this a hotel is a bit of a stretch. There is rarely anyone present to answer questions or be of service even during the 3 PM - 9 PM time period. There is no breakfast offered. There is no maid service so I suggest you bring your own toilet paper if you are staying more than one night. If you are two in your party make sure you stick together as there is only one set of keys and the front door is locked at all times. The water temperature was impossible to set and ran hot to cold and back again so taking a shower was a challenge at best. The "deluxe superior" room was neither and small. The chair by the small desk was broken and when I found someone to report this to the chair was replaced by another with a loose leg. The garden noted in the literature was not accessible. On the plus side the two gentlemen who were sometimes around were very pleasant.

Not the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in best far from the best.
If you can get over the noise coming from the bar underneath the hotel til gone 1am you’re fine.
After booking and then reading reviews(school boy error on my part) we were both very concerned about what we would come back to after drinks and food round skipton.
It did get quieter after 1am however the room wasn’t what you would call boutique.
The paint work in the room was two toned which is not a compliment and some of the fixtures and fittings were lacking.
All in all given what we know now we would not choose to stay again or indeed have booked in the first place.

It was good, excellent location with friendly staff

It was very pleasant and welcoming. The room was huge and very clean. The only caveat was the noise from the road outside and the lights flickering but to be fair we were warned about the noise at the start.

Stayed just one night the room was comfortable with a super jacuzzi bath in a spacious bathroom.

A pleasant enough welcome and great location but very much lacking attention to detail in actual finish. Sky TV, sound system on wall ( not a great thing if for others in hotel if you actually use) and bed was comfortable but this is not a boutique hotel. Overall the room was clean and the guy who showed us the room was very welcoming....however they dont tell you that there is a bar/nightclub underneath you playing loud music till early hours !. Walking through the overspill nightclub crowd at the front door isnt great..The hotel could definitely do with some tlc and the attention to detail was bad...Masking tape holding light together,no toiletries, bathroom main light wasnt actually connected to a light switch ?.Plug sockets wont turn off as the rocker switch was stuck.Personally dont think £89.10 for 1 night was great value at all.No breakfast and paying extra for parking. This place could be a gold mine if more thought and preparation went into the care and attention to detail as it was very sub par for what we paid.Overall a clean room in a outdated hotel.

The building is characterful and in a good location and must have been very nice once but it is now tired and worn and needs a lot of tlc and maintenance. The linen was clean though and there was plenty of hot water. Check in was very strange with no sign of any staff and just two men in casual clothes. One of the radiators in the room didn`t work; the ceiling lights kept flickering and taking turns to switch on and off and the temperature control in the shower was missing. To be honest I am not sure this is still a hotel.

The external appearance is a little off putting. There is peeling paint to the windows and the curtains were a little askew. Had there been more options available we might have chosen somewhere else. However, once inside, the property is lovely. It’s well decorated and clean with some very nice touches. There is even a sitting room for guests. Also, the young gentleman that welcomed us was nice, friendly and helpful. Our room and en-suite facilities were spacious and comfortable. The decor was very tasteful. Overall, it was a good, pleasant experience.

We stayed in the front bedroom, the one with a bathtub in the bedroom. The room itself was OK, needs a bit of TLC but the bed was comfortable, carpets looked pretty new, shower was excellent. It has a bit of a mishmash of styles, looks like 4 different people kitted it out and didn't talk to each other about their ideas; they could really use the services of an interior designer, as it looks like a fair bit of money has been spent on fixtures and what not. On arrival the man on reception informed me that there was no breakfast as advertised, so he discounted me £10, or 5:00 each, which i feel was a little low as I would expect to pay more than that for a hotel Breakfast, we got one over the road at the Weatherspoons. There is a Bar downstairs, which is open to the public and all the smokers stand outside shouting and what not until it closes at 1 am, so didn't get the best nights sleep, which was actually important to us because we were not in town for a night out. Free parking was provided, to the rear but it is tight, we got in fine though. Overall, at this price point, I have stayed in much better, but for somewhere to get your head down after a boozy night in Skipton, it's OK.

Great place to stay in the heart of Skipton. Owners so welcoming and friendly. They took our cases to store as we arrived long before our check in time so we coukd go off and explore. Room was really nice and very clean. Highly recommend. Hope it survives this awful ordeal so we can return again

We Arrived for check in time to be told room wasn’t ready could we go back in around half an hour there were issues with Lights so we went off to the pub down the rd for about an hour we got back room still wasn’t ready so I asked could we leave bags he let us leave bags in room when I got to the room it wasn’t even the room I booked I was told there were no other rooms avail after we had words with him he found another room. It was infact the room we booked so he let us have that when I said to him I thought u had no other rooms he just said he would swap someone else around the room wasn’t as nice as shown on the picture the lock on the door was very loose one sharp push and the door would’ve sprung open the room itself was a bit rough around the edges if you reading this I suggest you could find a lot better for the same price I’ve had much better rooms for a lot less I for one would never go back even though he brought a bottle of Prosecco to our room probably to say sorry

To be fair, not a bad nights stay. Our room overlooked the main road but was quiet enough with very little noise from other guests. Shower worked well. Room rate was competitive. The room was a little basic (for a boutique establishment) but clean. Breakfast options were cooked, or a choice of cereals. Both were OK.However -Check-in didnt open until 3pm (we hadnt spotted this on the website) which meant a few hours walking around Skipton on a Tuesday when most shops seemed to be shut.Car parking is *extremely* tight - a sharp turn into an alley with around two to three inches of space on either side for a Focus-sized car having the wing mirrors folded. It wouldnt have fit with them extended ... Theres a small charge for parking, but the car-park just around the corner has overnight parking for 30% less.On arrival we were informed payment would be cash only as their card machine wasnt working.I had to request, and then wait five minutes for, a receipt when checking out.Be aware that the B&B has no staff on the premises from 9:30pm.There is a basement bar on the premises but this was closed when we stayed.
