Nice play away from tourist hubbub but still close enough to everything in Coimbra. We were on a road trip and there was plenty of street parking nearby. The only downside: an optional breakfast they offer. It was only okay and I'd skip it - better options are probably available nearby.

Concept is boutique style apartments . Air conditioning didn’t work it was 82 degrees during the day . Luckily it was 70 at night in Coimbra .
Matress was hard and room was small and cramped . Felt like a small cabin on a cruise ship .
Area was very walkable and central . The breakfast was continental. The property was nice on the lobby and grounds but not worth the price( high season)

Diane at the front desk was amazing and the location made walking to the gardens and university easy.

Beautiful place. Lots of unique decor. Shower was good, bed was a little soft for us. My parents' room struggled to stay cool. It is next to a prison, just fyi. It did not bother us. Actually we felt a bit safer because of this, but we were surprised. Parking on the street was easy and free. No elevator so be ready to climb some stairs. Pictures on the website showed suspended beds and rooms. We booked two rooms and did not get one of these rooms, even with the room of 3 people. They just scooted an extra bed in with the main bed. So it was tight quarters. I had thought we would get a separate sleeping area from our daughter. It was fine, but I thought I was getting a 2 different bed areas. Overall, very nice place and would stay again if it were just 2 of us.

We had a pleasant stay in Casa Sao de Bento. The place is well located near a park, in close proximity to the university so one can expect a little noise when students hold special functions. It is a lively area, family friendly. Expect to walk uphill and there is no lift to bedrooms, but the staff was very helpful. We recommend the breakfast offer; it is very reasonably priced and offers plentiful choice.

We checked in at 8:30pm, there is only 2 girls in the reception. It was very difficult to understand their instruction. Finally, We can not enter the hotel batter finishing dinner by their instruction.

Beautiful hotel really close to the historic section. Staff was friendly and polite. A large market was right down the road as well, so everything was really close.

Whilst this hotel is in an undoubtedly beautiful building, it’s seems a little vacant, it’s probably to do with the ongoing pandemic but the rooms were a little marked, a few cobwebs and an empty dining area (breakfast must be pre booked)

I was in Coimbra for a conference and chose this place because it was walkable to the conference venue. It is about a 5-minute walk from the botanical gardens and another 5-10 minutes uphill to the main university site. The hotel is very well kept and comfortable, with decent in-room amenities. Given that it's advertised as having a kitchenette, I think that a kettle, mugs, and tea bags should be added into the rooms' small fridge, microwave, sink, and limited dishes/glasses/cutlery. The breakfast was really great, far beyond what I would expect at a continental breakfast, with hard boiled eggs, yogurts, meats and cheeses, a selection of breaks and spreads, fresh fruit, tomatoes and olives, cereals, juices, and a choice of espresso drinks, American coffee, and teas. Staff were so friendly and helpful! There are a few local eating options within a 10-minute walk (downhill to Praca da Republica, uphill back). There is no lift and, regardless of which floor you stay on, there are stairs. Located in an older building, rooms and corridors in this hotel have limited sound-proofing. Aside from any late-night noise from hotel guests, the students who give Coimbra so much energy also boost its late-night noise, which can go into the morning. I found ear plugs necessary on some nights!

Super place. Well appointed, fridge, clean, great shower. Pulling out the 3rd bed required moving several small pieces of furniture but was not a burden. Nice rooftop outside sitting area. Very secure. Parking not provided but available nearby and much easier to find later in the day.

We thought the place was lovely. Great staff, breakfast was good, location was good, etc. No parking, but never had problems with finding a spot on the street (staff said 2-6 is the hardest time to find a spot, FYI). Being uphill a bit wasn’t a problem - little quieter, and the walk / climb really isn’t bad at all. Neighborhood has beautiful houses.

The hotel breakfast was very good and our room was large with a fridge and microwave. The location of the hotel might not suit some people as it was a bit of a climb out of town. I would have liked a kettle and mugs in the room. The hotel was sited very near the Botanic Gardens in what struck me as an upmarket area so it was surprising that there was a prison opposite the hotel. There didn't seem to be any activity at all from the prison and perhaps it is no longer used but this might upset some guests although it didn't bother us in the slightest
