Great location, close to bus station and city centre, good kitchen available on premises too. No staff on site but respond quickly and send you door code for entry.

This is a sweet little property! Its a little more affordable than other places in Reykjavik, yet easy walk to the ocean and downtown. The room is comfortable and clean with nice amenities. The breakfast is small and simple, but quite adequate! We would definitely suggest a stay here.

Bathroom is shared and it wasn't very clean. Room was decent. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay, and location

We were placed in wrong room by Expedia and since full could not be accommodated correctly. Only staff on site is cleaning crew who were polite but are not able to help with room placements. So any problems or concerns you had to call someone. The room was a nice size and clean, but as it had a big cornered bay window, it did not have sufficient curtains. As sun is only down a couple hours in summer, only one side had a black out curtain and the regular curtains didn’t wrap around to cover all of the window. Had to use hair clips to keep the sun out. The window ledge was also broken/ falling apart had to be careful around.

Nothing fancy but clean and comfy, and breakfast is included in a cute little garden level dining area. Feel quite satisfied with my stay, and it was so easy to check in and walk or bus to where I needed to go.

Great place to stay, good breakfast, enough space for 3 adults and all our stuff. Showers were hot and cold but manageable

Old trees around the property and in the backyard were wonderful. Watch snow falling on the trees, then melting by morning was great.

Snorri’s was a very fine guesthouse. I was on the top floor, the rooms are small, but I was only 1 person. I stayed 2 different times. The 1st time, my room was at the front of the house facing the street. I found the street noise bothersome, but others might not. The room did have its own sink, which I highly enjoyed. My 2nd stay was at the back of the house, and my room was very quiet, but no sink. Although the TV is satellite, there were only 3 channels (all BBC variety). On the 2nd floor the rooms are larger. There is no elevator, so pack light. I had to carry my suitcase up 2 flights on a spiral staircase. There was no trouble with the shared bathroom. All was clean and I felt very safe. The email arriving the day before your arrival has vital information you need. There is a phone # posted on the outside door if you have trouble, assuming you have an international calling plan. I did not, and I did not receive that email, so I had some trouble. But it was quickly resolved and things proceeded very well. Breakfast is good and all I needed: bread, hard-boiled egg, Skyr, granola, cheese, cucumbers, oranges, apples, etc. The coffee is strong for my personal taste. If you are arriving via bus (i.e., FlyBus), they will drop/pick you up at the bus stop #11, which is about 3 blocks away. This is fine if you packed light with good weather; if you are older, you might consider a taxi or car. Limited parking on the street. Yes, I would stay here again.

it was clean, cozy, friendly and made me feel like I was in my grandmother's house. We even had a better room than booked!
We really enjoyed our stay!

Very cute and cozy guesthouse ideally located near the BSI terminal, downtown, and points of interest. The single room is perfect for a solo traveller. The whole place is clean and well cared for. The shared bathrooms wasn’t an issue but then again December is not peak season so maybe capacity was not full. Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. The option to use laundry machines and kitchen was really great and makes guests feel at home. The owners are nice when you can get a hold of them (did not see them at all during my stay) and my concern was just that communication was mostly one sided. I had a few questions/concerns that did not get answered before my arrival despite contacting them via different methods several times. They send a PIN code and check in information at night on the day before your check in, but maybe takes a while to get it. Other than that, everything was great.

Staff was most accommodating—always responsive to guests’ needs or requests; always helpful; and always ready with a smile.
My single room was comfortable; and the shared bath was always neat, tidy, and clean. Breakfasts were ample and appetizing: everything was fresh, including the coffee, and quite tasty.
Location is very good: away from “tourist central” but less than ten minutes from downtown or to the Cathedral. Even though Snorrabraut is a main street, the neighborhood is quiet and safe. I would welcome another stay at Snorri’s.

Snorri’s guesthouse was perfect for our 5 days and 4 nights in Reykjavik. They accommodated an early check in for us since our flight was arriving at 6:30 am. That allowed us to rest and adjust to the 4 hour time difference. Then upon checkout, luggage can be safely stored in the lobby if your flight is later. That allowed us time to continue exploring Reykjavik. Daily breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

No interaction with host. Never saw anyone. Unable to request early breakfast for early checkout. Texted host and never received response. The guesthouse itself was lovely and well cared for. Would recommend to others

Armann was such a good host by ensuring that our stay was as best as it could be at Snorri's.
The room was beautiful and clean. My wife and I loved the decorations of the room and how well maintained it was.

Our room had its own bathroom and both were clean and well maintained. Nespresso machine a nice addition. Breakfast was buffet style with bright dining room. Travel guides for Iceland were available - nice addition. No lift if dragging heavy suitcases. Easy walk to downtown and easy access back to highway. Free parking always available. Outdoor area of property could be spruced up a bit.

My dad and I stayed at this location again because we liked it so well back in September 2022! All the amenities were there and the hosts were most welcoming. A great spread for breakfast. The twin room we stayed in was smaller than the family room (double bed and a single bed) last September.

Great location about 5 mins walk from the main shopping street in downtown Reykjavik. Good breakfast. Room was modern and furnished well. Armann and Sarri were friendly hosts, hospitable, and easy to reach.
Minor annoyance (that is not the fault of the property) is that the bathroom window faces an intersection with a crosswalk, and the metronome-like sound gets repetitive. This was solved by closing the window.

Lovely place and location. Could use a sign to notify travelers to go to lowest level for breakfast.

The hosts of this property were very responsive to questions ands offering ideas. The breakfast area was lovely and we appreciated a fridge in our room. We also liked the shared kitchen area. Parking was easy and the area was calm.

Beautiful little hotel. There was an issue with the rooms due to a plumbing issue but the owners fixed it and made it right. Would stay again.

The home owner is super friendly and contacted me regarding my stay in very detailed manner before my stay was due. The room I was staying in was fantastic, large walking space, Tv, clean room and had a real good linen aroma to the room. Which also tells you that everything in that rooom is cleaned and washed. Fast Wi-FI, lots of breakfast options (beter then some of the more expensive hotel I stayed in near the KEF airport). Also if you need help with anything regarding the stay, the owner responses really quicky, overall for the price you're paying, this place is five stars and really underated. To get the single room at this price is crime, as its so cheap. :D

I took the bus/connector from the airport and it dropped me about 5 blocks away with no directions and all of my luggage, including skis, in a snow storm. Once I found it all was well.

Wonderful hosts of this property! Super friendly and helpful. I loved the location & my room was perfect for the overnight stay I planned. Tons of parking around the area as well and walked to an amazing dinner. Their breakfast included in the am was delicious as well! Would definitely stay here again.

The property is an excellent location when visiting Reykjavik. Also wish to compliment them for a great breakfast each day.
We were a little disappointed with the level of interaction from the host. We had hoped to discuss things to do in the city but the hosts were never available. We had the impression from the website that they are normally on site but we’re not while we were there.

Great area for staying around the city. The public pool was close by and great.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome too!

The breakfast was spectacular. The owners were very kind and welcoming. The public spaces are very nice, like the breakfast area and living room. My only complaint was the bed was as hard as a rock, I couldn’t sleep at all so I went out searching for aurora instead. The bedroom was extremely tiny and we had one bed instead of two twins, keep that in mind if you didn’t plan staying in the same bed as your travel mate. Seemed to attract multi-national travelers which was a really nice experience, morning vibes were more of a hostel experience with nice music and world travelers. Definitely recommend!

Solo female traveler review:
Absolutely loved my stay here. Ample breakfast, a hearty cold continental. Fresh baked breads, croissants, small pastries. Icelandic butter. Sliced ham, cheese. Skyr, granola, dried fruits. Fruits, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes. Coffee, tea, juices. Good for vegetarians. Standard Icelandic breakfast fare. Early breakfast options in Reykjavik are slim, so booking a place that does early breakfast is essential for me.
Extremely walkable area in 105, less than 10 minutes up to Hallgrimskirkja and less to Sundhollin, a great local pool. Highly recommend stopping at this pool and checking out the very hot roof top tubs. Hlemmur Matholl (a food hall with multiple vendors) is also not far. Buses run through Snorrisbraut and there were also many electric scooters available to grab.
Room was clean and warm. Kettle, coffee maker with pods, small fridge, hair dryer and diffuser. Icelandic plugs available to borrow. On the smaller side but this is just how rooms are throughout Iceland. Shared bathroom was spotless. Didn't use the shower as I showered at the pools each day. Bed comfortable, sufficiently thick duvet and multiple pillows. Robes, towels, washcloth, and hand towel provided. Tip: Bring the towel if you go to the pool. Obviously, bring it back. Pools charge a few dollars for a rental.
This is a great area to stay, I am a regular visitor to Iceland so this is my perspective from my experience and previous knowledge of Reykjavik.

I really was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Snorri's. First off- the owner's communication & friendliness at morning breakfast was superb. The proximity to bus stop # 9 is good- even w/ wheelie luggage, not problem, for someone w/ a lot of luggage or mobility issues, maybe not feasible, but a ten min walk to main shopping street, 20 min. walk to Perlan. I was on 3rd floor, room was small but extremely clean and comfortable. A tall person (>6'2") might be slightly inconvenienced but nice amenities.
The bed, mattress, sheets and pillows allowed a great night's sleep. I walked the neighborhood at night- very safe. I'd be back

What a lovely place! From the sharing umbrellas and the bird filled garden to the homemade bread and comfy pillows, you couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay.

The owners are very accommodating. We arrived early and they were able to allow us to check-in as our room was ready. A lot of parking is available if you drive. The location is excellent as you are convenient to the downtown and an easy walk from Perlan. We did not need to use our car once we arrived. The breakfast is great. Wonderful breads and pastries. Will definitely stay here when we come back for a visit to Reykjavik. Thanks for the hospitality!
