The location of the Hotel is amazing! Wonderful views of the Dales and nice walks nearby with views of the river Wharfe.

Staff were friendly and helpful but hotel was tired and in need of improvement. Food was good and plentyful but menu was limited.
3.7
Good location for exploring upper wharfedale or going to kilnsey show as we were doing but overall a bit underwhelming the building is 400 years old so one can expect creaks and quirks in abundance but the tired and/or worn out nature of the rooms and facilities overcomes any charm it may have had
The very photo they use of the door and porch is now somewhat ruined in reality by a worn out carpet and gaffer tape
The staff were helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was good
The bedroom was made up of a range of miscellaneous furniture and the tv needed a degree to locate bbc 1
The shower fixing was broken and it was impossible to get the mixers to deliver anything other than freezing cold or scolding hot water it did not make for a good start to the day
The bed was comfy and we slept well except for the unfortunate false fire alarm that went off at 12.30am …the staff visited every room to reassure everyone but it was a while before we settled down again !!
The evening menu was limited but ok
Tbh we didn’t pay a lot for the two nights so I guess it lived up to what we paid for .Overall it was clean comfy and staff were helpful and it did what we needed in giving us a base for the show

Brilliant stay lovely room more choice for breakfast would be good

Evening restaurant and bar was really good with tasty food and beer. The room was nice and big. The TV had internet so we were able to watch catchup TV. The bathroom was big with a large bath. There were 2 sinks but one of them had a crack in it so we didn't use it. The bed was comfy and the room was nice and quiet. Breakfast had a good selection of cereal, tea, coffee and juice and the full english was great.

Booked a deluxe room expecting it to look like the photos on Hotels.com but was greeted with a room that looked anything but deluxe! just a double bed in room with bedside cabinets that had been painted in situ as the paint had also been splattered onto the wardrobe next to it. The bed and mattress was awful, so uncomfortable, the pillows were flat and well used by the looks of things. The tiled floor in the bathroom was cracked by the door meaning slicing your foot was quite possible if not careful. The ceiling in the bathroom was mouldy, the sealant around the shower was also mouldy. The electrical consumer unit in our bedroom was last tested in 2021 with a sticker saying next test was 2022, we stayed in February 2024 so surely this should have been checked?!! Evening meal in the restaurant was nice food although the restaurant lacked any atmosphere and felt cold, the bar area was closed off due to lack of customers. There was ONE member of staff that was showing customers to rooms, serving behind the bar and serving meals in the evening. We didn't bother with breakfast in the morning but no one was around when we "self checked out" at 10.30am, they obviously get used to people complaining so guessing a lack of staff available gets rid of the problem of asking "how was your stay?" Don't bother staying here people, there are plenty of much nicer, friendlier and cleaner properties to stay in the area, shame really as it could be really nice with the right management !!

Bathroom needs a complete refurb. Staff were great as was food.

Perfect position to attend Kilnsey Show.

The hotel staff were very welcoming. We were in a room right at the top. It was in need of redecorating but still had a nice feel to it, bed was clean and comfortable. The food in the hotel was delicious, glad we decided to eat there for our meal. Quite far away from Skipton town. When booking, consider that the rooms at the front definitely have a better view than the rooms at the rear.

No wifi in room. Room was very small.

Great place and food was nice and the room was amazing! Very happy. Can’t wait to go back.

A nice and friendly pub, with good food in the restaurant. The room was large and comfortable. Would stay again.

A little tired with lots of minor repairs that need doing eg door latches are missing on the internal room doors, sash windows hard to open, bathroom extractor fan not working very easy fixes to make the room better. Our room had no shower just a bath which took ages to fill.Staff are friendly and trying their best but it seems a little under staffed..no lounge area to relax when the bar is shut some nice arm chairs wouldn’t go a miss.we only had breakfast which was ok but some of the choices on the menu were missing or unavailable having said all this it could be they are struggling to bounce back in these difficult times I wish the young staff the best .

Unfortunately our stay was cut short for family reasons. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good, fresh and plentiful. We stayed on a Thursday night and it was very quiet in the bar - lacked atmosphere.

Extremely comfortable bed. Very tasty breakfast. Surrounded by wonderful scenery.

The tenants arms in a beautiful location unfortunately the hotel itself was very tired looking the dining room where we ate our meal on the first night was very unwelcoming in our room the bed was extremely uncomfortable and we both didn’t sleep much the breakfast was ok but our evening meal felt like it was just microwaved very poor and disappointing stay .
3.7
Lovely hotel in a great location.
The food was really good

Clean spacious rooms, had coat hooks on back off door, which is always a plus. Décor in room not to our taste but ok. Cosy bar area where we had our evening meal. Separate dining room for breakfast, full English, with choice of cereal, yoghurts and fruit.

We had a very nice stay, but the beds in our room were terribly uncomfortable. The hotel needed some updating, but overall a very nice hotel and location. The pub served a very nice meal. The staff were ok, the Polish girl when we arrived was very hard to communicate with, but she was very nice.

We had a really lovely stay in a fantastic part of the world. Room was very nice with a great bathroom. Staff very friendly. Dinner was excellent. Would highly recommend and would stay there again.
3.7
The hotel was nice …. It needs some TLC and a good clean from top to bottom. There are lots of cobwebs knocking around.
The taps on our bath fell off but we managed to get them back on. Fittings were loose and things just looked tired.
We only saw one member of staff throughout our whole stay who did everything from checking us in to serving breakfast.
3.7
Lovely friendly hotel. Comfortable and clean. Just what you need for a good nights rest before a days hiking. Food was nice too.
