Beautiful large bedrooms with air-conditioning and TVs in the rooms. Full Kitchen. Comfy sofa. It was set on a wonderful golf course with lots of trees in a very peaceful setting. The Staff were very helpful and responded immediately to issues. HOWEVER••• The company need to change the room Cleaning staff!! The lights on the wall had cobwebs all over them. The cutlery was filthy. The door handles to every room were sticky and dirty. There were smears on the mirrors and even poo left in the toilet when we arrived!!! There were also many cracked floor tiles, and the trimmings around the kitchen cabinets kept falling on the floor!! Also, the TV aerial kept losing signal even though the weather was calm and not at all possible to watch ITV1. THESE THINGS MATTER IF PAYING £180 per night!! Also, on the cold night when we arrived, the bedroom heating did not work although staff came immediately and brought us out a radiator until it could be fixed.
Very unclean. Cobwebs on lights. Dirty cutlery and crokery. Sticky dirty door handles. Cracked floor tiles. (See above)

Location of the lodge was lovely, peaceful and relaxing
Cleaning was not up to standard, a previous persons clothes left on the back of the bedroom door. Sofas shabby with a few marks, walls also were marked. Lots of cobwebs high up, on beams and ceiling. Lots of flies in the lodge, so felt even more unhygienic on work surfaces, dining table.

We love the lodge. Beautiful surroundings with gorgeous trees. Spotted some rabbits jumping around in the fields. Beds are comfortable. They have prepared the sofa beds ahead of our arrival so we didnt hv to wait for it . Fully equipped kitchen so we could prepare our dinner every night. Toilets are good eventhough the water pressure is abit low. No problem in requesting fresh towels after our 2nd night of stay.
Its a bit far from colchester town but we had a car so it was not a big issue.

Location was lovely and peaceful once we found it.
Very bad signage, very poor road / Track from reception to the lodge, it must be a nightmare arriving in the dark.

Very spacious clean and relaxing
Need to upgrade the irons
We were at a wedding and needed an iron but the one in the room was no good. Very cheap and didn’t work well at all other than that everything was perfect

Spacious and luxurious S/C accommodation on a Suffolk golf-course resort. Everything we needed was provided and the facilities were excellent. Our lodge had views, a balcony, acres of living space and a comfy bed. Plenty of information provided on the lodge amenities and what to do in the surrounding area. Check-in was easy and staff were friendly/helpful/attentive. I would certainly stay here again if staying in the area for a few nights.
Pillows were a little flat.

I liked the location
The outside area could have been cleaned there was all this white wispy stuff all along the balcony rails and after finding the most gigantic spider behind one of the cushions that didn't look like the sofas had been cleaned at all there were a few cobwebs hidden there, the quilt cover was heavy and uncomfortable it really could have been a lovely apartment the kitchen was nice the lounge was nice but it all seemed a bit dated it could do with a fresh paint job and more detail when cleaning after finding the spider I wouldn't sit back out there so it did ruin my holiday and it want cheap I think you should get what you pay for and I didn't. All the staff were lovely just the detail to cleaning let it down

The lodge and the grounds were stunning! The silence at night and the sound of the nature during the morning / day was amazing! The facilities were brilliant throughout. I stayed in the Crispin Lodge.
I was surprised to find the lodge although was brilliant the cleaning was terrible. There were spider webs all over the lodge! Rotten food and wrappers under the sofa....paint knocked off areas of the wall....all small things but that can easily be rectified. All images attached are from the living / kitchen area.

The bed was the comfiest, the location was lovely as we had neighbours but felt very private and peaceful.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The cooker was bang, the wildlife was sick. chefs kiss.
Unfortunately our electric fireplace didn’t work and the hair dryer only blew out cold air. We were also unable to set the alarm during our stay.

Location very good..easy to get to see some lovely places . Beautiful setting in trees. Lovely staff in the hotel.
The lounge could have had an extra sofa as it wasn’t quite comfortable enough for five adults on one L shaped sofa. However this did not affect the overall experience as it was so beautiful especially the exceptional light and green views. (We stayed in a one bedroom lodge before where the lounge was much bigger and had more seating than the two bedroom lodge.)

dishwasher didn’t work properly

The lodge was beautiful, in a lovely setting, cute rabbits running around.
The restaurant/bar in the hotel was very good too. Friendly staff, who were very understating about requiring a little extra time to transport wheel chair user.
The heating in one of the lodges was too high, and we couldn’t get it to come down
You could hear people walking in the first floor lodges which wasn’t best when trying to sleep.
I didn’t realise that you couldnt really walk around directly outside as you could get hit by a golf ball

Peaceful location
The portion of the sofa that converts into a sofa bed was not comfortable to sit on when in the sofa position due to cushions slipping off. Was provided with a tea towel, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid but no sponge or cloth to wipe surfaces, which was shame as you asked to leave it clean and tidy having apart from that the kitchen was well equipped for basic self catering needs

Warm welcome from Lee-Anne and shuttle to collect us for dinner in the main centre meant we could relax and enjoy our meal with drinks.

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped lodge. Extra large comfy bed, lovely shower.
Excellent views, spacious deck.
Very warm throughout.
Easy check in/out. We booked a last minute offer for a couple of nights away, and it was perfect. A super big table so we could spread out (laptops, papers etc). Would love to go back again.
The groundsmen are busy from about 7.30am, so some outside noise, but it didn't really bother us.
Kitchen well equipped; would have been nice if there was a pair of scissors.
Everything else was great.

Great location, the lodge was well equipped and catered for all our needs. Spacious with plenty of natural light, a lovely touch with the welcome pack and Ebony shower wash and lotion. Which I Ended up purchasing the shower wash at reception when leaving.Truly a marvellous stay at the lodge. Highly recommend if you are looking for some quiet time...
No instructions on how to operate the induction cooker.
Was not allowed to book the spa/sauna facilities. Due to booking through Booking.com and not through Apple Lodge.☹️☹️☹️

The lodge itself and the layout.
Amenities and welcome goodies were lovely. Staff we encountered were friendly. The lodge had brilliant beds.. it was Very spacious and nicely furnished. Lovely Verandah and countryside.
The situation of the Lodges and getting to them. Parking was a little tight.
Not brilliantly lit on a rainy foggy night.
There were gates near by and if they had been fitted with a key or press button lock it would have been so much easier to get to them and so much quicker...so please consider this option.
