Erg gezellig, als een kleine community

Het meest beviel het personeel. Ik mocht drie dagen extra blijven en het personeel (manager en vrijwilligers) waren heel aardig en super behulpzaam. De dame die er was om schoon te maken doet haar werk uitvoerig en is erg lief. De faciliteiten zoals het zwembad en de aparte ruimte om te studeren of te werken waren prettig. Ook is de keuken fijn, er is een vaatwasser.

Een douche functioneert niet waardoor er als het hostel vol is, voor zo’n 15 man maar 1 douche is. En er zijn weinig fatsoenlijke messen om mee te snijden.

Expectations exceeded

This is -hands down, the best hostal I've ever stayed at! Initially I wasn't sure if booking here because it seemed a bit far from the centre, however, after exploring the area I was so happy I did! Even though it isn't super close to the center, the best beaches are just walking distance -Coxos and Ribeira de Ilhas and for 3 euros you can get a 4 min Bolt to the bus station or a 10m one to the centre. I was concerned of having a shared room for a long stay -almost a month, but the beds were super comfy and the structure of them made it feel private enough even thought he room was shared. The hostal is fairly new so all the structure is too! Everything is super new, modern and CLEAN! I am a digital nomad, so I thought it was awesome the hostal has an area specifically for this, WiFi is strong and the vibe in this area is quiet. However, if you're done working you can just come hang out in the common areas or the pool and you can get the party started. Nights are quiet and the vibe here is just right! Really great combination of everything I was looking for. The staff is just beyond amazing. Bianca, Sebas, Kevin, Soraya and Thiago make you feel just at home! I was sad to leave to be honest. If you're trying to make your stay at Ericeira the absolute best, do not doubt to book here :)

the staff was always kind, the place in general was very nice and comfortable, the pool was very cleaned.

there is a green light on the room that's really annoying when you are going to sleep

Out of town

After failing to answer my phone call as I stood outside trying to get in, the caretaker host was very friendly and helpful. The house is a new build and run by a small chain of hostels. All fixtures and fittings were in good order, the kitchen well-equipped with modern appliances. As the only guest the night I stayed I can verify it was very quiet. There is a swimming pool though I never tried it, being wintertime.

It is hard to find fault with the accommodation, but its location is not the best - in a modern residential estate, inland, on the edge of Ribamar, 3km from the town of Ericeira.

Super nice and cozy hostel and the staff was very nice. The hostel is very good to get to know people and has a very good balance between party and chill. And the volunteers of the hostel are the best, I miss them already.

excellent vibes, from the staff and guests... nice privet room (not very quiet)

the view and room size was good, had a coffee maker and was close by to few surfing spot (by foot & car)

the shower water pressure was low and not very hot all the time. some noise from the road neer by some times noise from the people in the hostel at night and early morning (I guess that can also be a good thing) 😊

It was a cool stay although a little disappointing but the vibe and our host Diego made it better.

The staff was great, and the common kitchen was very well equipped. The vibe was really cozy and everyone seemed happy and willing to share some words about their day as most of the guests were solo travellers.

Unfortunately the room we stayed didn't match the photos. And it was explained to us that the room we were supposed to stay was still under construction. The other negative point was that the room and the bathroom could have been cleaner. The floor was dusty and the bathroom walls seemed to have been varnished the day before.

Open and real vibe without feeling pretentious or fake!

Tho hosts, the vibe and the people was stunning! I felt happy to come here as a solo traveler and share moments with warm and open travellers. You feel immediately welcomed by the friendly and loveable person Daniela! Plus it didn’t hurt to receive a beer, while cooking my first meal at the common kitchen! Also the rooms are clean, change of blankets and pillows daily.

This place has been opened for guests just recently and everything was so nice, clean and new. It's a rare experience for a backpacker to be among the first to sleep in a hostel bed. Loved this and will miss it when continuing my travels. Also the designers had an eye for the details. E.g. the lockers are in the form of surfboards. The place has a beautiful garden with a grill area and pool. You can walk to Ericeira by foot but it's a bit far (30 minutes to one hour walking) but there are driving services like Uber and Bolt available for a cheap price. I enjoyed my time there a lot. Would definitely come back!

Next supermarket was a bit far (by foot), but you can go there by car or Uber / Bolt.
