The room I had was very clean and well appointed. I had dinner in the inn which was very good and the staff were attentive at all times.

The staff are lovely. Good breakfast but missed beans. Shower is amazing! Lovely location.

Comfort of the rooms, breakfast and dinner were very good, value for money. Very accomodating and welcoming staff.
No restraunt service on Tuesday night.

Beautiful rooms and one female member of staff was lovely, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. See photos for manky food. Pic 1 is the saddest breakfast in England. Pic 2 is food poisoning on a plate Pic 3 is apparently cod loin, spic 4 is belly pork??? Prawns advertised as fresh but ‘chef’ confirmed to me they were frozen.
Avoid! Avoid!
Suspected food poisoning caused by slimy prawns. Burnt breakfast. Jams provided but toast is ‘extra’?! Owner/manager and chef is all one guy. He is no good at customer service. Can’t cook a sausage. Condescending, rude and not at all helpful. Refused to refund us the food that we complained about. Despite him knowing he made us ill. Tried to resolve privately! Avoid!

Noisy road outside

Location, comfortable and quiet
shower (was not one), Wi-fi was rubbish (only worked in bar area but this was kept locked) paid for bed and breakfast but had to pay extra for a 'proper' breakfast, no food on Tuesdays?

Easy to find. Friendly staff, warm welcome, opened the bar early for me!! Very comfortable room, garden view, away from the road. Good food, very professional manager. Can't fault the place. Will stay again.
Nothing to pick fault with.

All round excellent experience, really appreciated being able to check in early (we were on a motorcycle tour and the weather was awful). Nice welcome on arrival, our request for a room with a bath was also met which was lovely. Our room was large, warm and tastefully furnished, plenty of storage as well. Ate in the restaurant, again staff very attentive, professional and knowledgeable. Menu has a nice selection of dishes, food was excellent quality, cooked and presented beautifully. Had continental breakfast the next morning which was very nice. Exceptional value for money - would love to come again, can highly recommend.
Can't think of anything we didn't like

We booked last minute, the staff were very helpful and upgraded our room. We had a meal in the restaurant with family who lived close by. Small menu, but good selection with local produce. All our meals were very good.

Food was super tasty, staff really friendly and room very cosy.

Nice room, clean and comfortable.
The place was closed Monday evenings, so instead of just walking downstairs for a meal and a drink, I have to drive somewhere else. Not what I wanted after a long day.

The staff were absolutely incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We were a large group ( varying between 12 and 16). I was really impressed about how well we were treated.

breakfast was good and dining restaurant menu was good. not much in the surrounding area but is a village so expect to drive any where. Great country pub and garden and staff were really friendly.
not a negative but would have been good to have a desk in the room as I was working but not the end of the world.
