About this villa rental
A splendid historic villa in Art Nouveau style, located within the ancient village of Manziana, in the heart of the Tuscia region, on the border between Rome and Viterbo, just a few steps from the train station. The villa takes its name from the ancient Via Clodia, which crossed this area during Roman times. Villa Clodia is a key destination for those seeking tranquility without giving up the opportunity to explore the ancient land of the Etruscans, one of the most enchanting areas of Italy.
The interior spaces are adorned with rich floral decorations and ornaments that embellish the ceilings, giving the villa a distinctive identity, closely tied to the Art Nouveau style typical of the period in which it was built by the local bourgeoisie.
Villa Clodia can be rented exclusively, allowing guests to relax in a comfortable private pool and enjoy the splendid view of Lake Bracciano, with its castle and the surrounding countryside. The villa offers 11 rooms of various types, accommodating between 22 and 34 guests with additional beds available.
Villa Clodia Relais is the perfect destination for a family vacation or for those seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating stay in nature. Within minutes, you can reach the Manziana forest, the Canale Monterano nature reserve, and Lake Bracciano. The thermal baths are 6 km away, and the sea is just a 20-minute drive.
During your stay, we can organize any type of event: weddings, corporate events, anniversaries, communions, and birthdays for up to 200 guests. Villa Clodia Relais was established in 2003 with the aim of bringing innovation and professionalism to our sector, with a focus on reliability and quality of service. Thanks to the collaboration of our dedicated staff, we have successfully hosted numerous events for clients from both Italy and abroad.

Beautifully setting and villa for wedding.

Villa Clodia is a beautiful property set in a very quaint vilage with spectacular views across the countryside. We hired it on a self catering basis as a group of friends. We loved our stay there. It's very easy to access (good train links) and Leonardo arranged our collection from the airport. The town of Manziana is very pretty and very close by so you can buy all the provisions you need if you are s/c.I would very much recommend the property and hope to return one day

We had an absolutely beautiful time at the Villa in Manziana. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful to us when we needed anything and were always an email away if we had any issues or questions. This is a wonderful place for groups to come together and have a great time.

My wife and I had our wedding in July at Villa Clodia and it was amazing. We had 25 people staying in the villa (although we could have fit more comfortably) and the space was lovely. The villa is easily accessible from Rome by train, and the staff helped us book shuttles, reservations, etc. when needed. They were incredibly kind and helpful and it was clear they wanted us to enjoy our stay as much as possible. The property, both inside and out, is just beautiful. The pool was super refreshing in the heat.
Throughout the wedding planning process, the staff was very responsive and helped us get in touch with all of our vendors. We can’t thank them enough for helping us every step of the way. We would absolutely recommend having your wedding here or staying here!

Where to begin about this amazing property....the rooms are spacious and clean with modern bathroom amenities. The gardens are beautiful and the view from the pool was stunning. A short walk to town, but really no need to ever leave with the delicious breakfast and unlimited cappuccinos. We had about 20 people staying with us and Charlotte arranged an amazing welcome dinner. Such attention to detail with the beautiful set up and amazing food. Charlotte was even able to arrange a birthday cake to be delivered at a moments notice. The staff was so attentive, helpful, and always available before and during our trip.

Myself and my husband celebrated our wedding at Villa Clodia and spent four wonderful nights with closest family — children, parents, siblings, niece and nephew — and the experience is almost indescribable. If you were to be planning an event/dinner, this would be the place to do so! The pictures do not do the beauty of this venue justice and everyone that is part of Villa Clodia made each one of us feel as if we were part of their family from the moment we walked in. I can’t wait to return and look forward to that day!

My husband and I were married at Villa Clodia with 19 guests. The property manager arranged our wedding day perfectly - from the decor, the food, to the amazing staff. All of our guests say that it was one of the best weddings, and I have to agree. Our group stayed for three days in 11 bedrooms, nobody had complaints. If you are thinking of getting married or having an event in Italy, choose this place as you won't regret your decision.

We look back at our stay at Villas Clodia as the experience of a lifetime.
In total we were 24 family members including 2 small children, spanning 3 generations. We wanted a home base that was not too touristy but easily accessible for day trips.
We couldn't have found a better place.
The Villa has so much charm - and after our two weeks we felt it became our home. The small town of Manziana was just perfect - with several dining options (and gelato) that we continue to rave about. They had festivals in the town square and a weekly farmer's market with the freshest produce and a charming playground for our little ones. The chefs that came in to cook for us on the nights we wanted to stay in were simply outstanding.
The train station is less than a 10 minute walk and we used that regularly for our trips to Rome, Florence, Amalfi Coast. The lake nearby is beautiful and you must tour the castle - definitely worth seeing.
The support and service during our stay were extraordinary - Leonardo, Oretta, Nicola, Francesca, Alessandra and Simone attended to our every need - including providing extra fans for those hot nights and changes to our breakfast routine - not to mention ordering last minute car service to get to Rome! I can't thank you all enough for all that you did to make our family reunion so memorable.
All and all it was wonderful experience and a memory we will treasure.

Superb property. All 24 of us loved it, from toddlers to grandparents assembled from all over the world to celebrate a family wedding in Roma. Leonardo, his parents, Francesca at check-in were absolutely marvelous and remained extremely helpful throughout our stay by phone or group whatsApp. The pool became the center of our group interaction. The kitchen is a little awkwardly set up for our self-service meals, but the barbecue was great, and the nearby grocery, gelato and excellent -- and very reasonable --Tratoria specialized in black and white truffles, wild boar, delicious veggies, and lovely house wine. Thank you Leonardo and parents! We hope we can repeat this visit once the forthcoming bambino and bambina can join us! Campbell/Wilson/Martin/Bolondi clan.

Choosing a place to stay in Italy for a month. I wanted to be able to share the experience with my family and friends. As I began looking thru the various options I came across Villa Clodia in Manziana. What a beautiful gem. My family and I were welcomed with open arms. We enjoyed a beautiful lunch on arrival at with our host Leonardo. That was as the beginning of a month long dream come true. As we departed we felt like we were leaving our beautiful home and new family in Italy. All 14 of us hope to some day visit again. I highly recommend Villa Clodia and definitely give our stay 5 stars .

We had reserved the villa Clodia for our 2022 Christmas gathering (27 family members) and we loved it! The location is perfect (In the center of Manziana and 5 min. walking distance from the train station). The hotel is classy, full of antiques and we were able to privatize it for 2 nights. Rooms are clean while all services including chairs, tables, covers, glasses, kitchen, etc... were made available to us.
The hotel is also beautiful. Nice gardens, good setting and all around comfy.
A big thank you to Leonardo and Charlotte who helped us tremendously in the room setups and made themselves available on the 24th at night and the 25th (Grazie Leonardo for solving a technical issue on the 25th during the day).
Highly recommended for big group getaway! Will definitely be back one day

At the end of October this year myself and 30 other women of all ages travelled from London to Villa Clodia for my sisters hen weekend and it was nothing short of perfect ! Leonardo and Charlotte helped me plan absolutely everything from the bus pick up from the airport, to all the activities and the beautiful lake view lunch on the last day, and they couldn’t have been more helpful.
The Villa is stunning, the photos do not do it justice. Each detail is beautiful, the views are incredible and the fact it is owned and run by a lovely Italian family (Leonardo and his family) and their wonderful staff, made it all the more amazing.
The activities we did were: the pasta party, the wine tasting and the cooking class, and they were all dreamy! Every detail was planned by Charlotte and Leonardo, and the people running each event were just as lovely as them! They also catered for vegans for each activity (not a common dietary choice in Italy haha…) which was great! All activities were very good value also.
It was so relaxed, they let us have the villa to ourselves, host our own games and events, put up decorations, buy our own food and drink etc etc… (as long as we cleaned up after ;))
We truly had the most incredible weekend ever, I recommend it 100%, whether you’re visiting with family/friends on holiday , or for a wedding, a hen do, a corporate weekend, a stag weekend… this is the perfect place, and it’s only 45min-1hr outside of Rome !
Thank you so much Leonardo and Charlotte, we have memories to last a lifetime and we will defo be coming back ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My husband and I were married at Villa Clodia on 7/30/2022 and it was PERFECTION. Leonardo and Charlotte helped us plan every step of the way. We had our closest family and friends stay with us at the villa. Each room was beautiful and accommodations were luxurious, yet comfortable. Manziana was such a charming little town to explore, as well as nearby Bracciano. We cannot thank Leonardo and Charlotte enough for hosting us and helping make our wedding weekend so very special. Manziana will always hold a special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to travel back.

Our stay at Villa Clodia was magical, the view is just as good if not better than the photos. Leonardo was attentive to all our wedding requests. We added an additional cleaning midway through our stay that was great! It’s a nice mix of an attentive Hotel and a relaxed, independent VRBO

We rented Villa Clodia for a family reunion for 29 people in August 2022. It was an incredible find and a wonderful property. There are several advantages:
1. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is fantastic.
2. The outside area is immense, with many places to sit and eat, chat, and hang out at the incredible pool. You never feel crowded.
3. The staff - Leonardo and Charlotte - are extremely helpful, caring, and make things happen!
4. The location is wonderful, and just steps away from the house is the main square and street of the delightful Manziana, which is a perfect little village, with several cafes, small restaurants and gelaterias - everything you could want on your doorstep. And just a 2 minute drive away is an excellent supermarket and other shops.
5. The lake is about a 15 minute drive, with the nearest beach in Bracchiano, which is a wonderful town to visit. The two other main towns on the lake are picture perfect and worth a drive. Also not very far away. They also have a wonderful selection of excellent restaurants.
6. We had a chef, Nicola, for most of our evening meals, and he was fantastic. We had a lot of dietary requirements, and he coped with all our demands so well, and cooked us the most superb food. Highly recommended.
A few small negatives is that while the kitchen is an industrially equipped kitchen, it lacks some of the small needs such as kitchen towels and other basics, which we went to buy. The air conditioning doesn't work well at all, and in the heat of the summer, the bedrooms get quite hot. We did use the standing fans in the house and that helped.
Overall, this is a spectacular property and I highly recommend it for a large gathering. We made some wonderful memories in Villa Clodia!

We booked this villa after our previous booking through VRBO was suddenly cancelled in May with no prior warning. When we found Villa Clodia we couldn't believe what was being offered as it was way, way more than the previous booking. Leonardo was really helpful and gave us 24 hours to consider it, but we didn't need that long as our group, without exception, thought it was way better! And so it proved to be.
The communication with the villa, generally through Charlotte or Leonardo, was excellent and they remained patient through my many queries. They were both there to welcome us on arrival: to show us around and explain the kitchen etc.
The villa was spotlessly clean and the gardener arrived every morning to clean the pool and water the various pots around.
The rooms themselves are absolutely amazing - large; each en-suite; comfortably furnished with plenty of storage (and hangers!); all air-conditioned which was a real bonus. There is also flexibility with bedding - twins or doubles available in some rooms.
The grounds are spacious, well-stocked with plants and kept immaculate: there's a lovely pool; plenty of sun-beds; a variety of kids' floats; and stunning views across the lake.
The villa is situated in a small town which has lots of interesting bars, cafes and (what our children called) the 'everything shop'!
There is a rail station which goes directly to Rome at extremely reasonable cost.
There are two taxi firms which are readily available to take to the airport or to the local towns on the lake.
Lake Bracciano is well worth visiting and there are lots of other things to see and do locally.
The coast is also within easy reach - approx 20 mins by car.
Fuimicino Airport is approx 1 hour by taxi.
I booked a special lunch for husband's birthday and it was amazing! Beautiful food and wonderful service- it will be remembered for years to come.
I honestly cannot think of a single negative thing to say about Vill Clodia except that we had to leave it!
NB One thing to mention - rooms 300+ are situated in an annexe away from the main building which is something to bear in mind when allocating rooms.

We found Villa Clodia to be an ideal place to host our close family and friends for our destination wedding in Bracciano. The historic building has been meticulously restored and updated for today's needs. The staff of the family-owned hotel, especially Leonardo, was very helpful and gracious and went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They also hosted a dinner before the wedding and a brunch the day after in the outdoor spaces, which have stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The overall experience was exactly what we envisioned for our guests to stay together in a welcoming place that felt like home.

Leonardo and his family were great, 13 of us were there for 3 nights and we finished with a pasta party on our last night which was a great way to finish our trip. The meal was massive.
The rooms in the main building are all large and well equiped. The showers are small but it's an old building in Europe.
Our one issue was the lift is very small so my brother in a wheelchair would not fit and none of the rooms we had were at ground level. It was a problem. If you're in a wheelchair and can not stand be sure your chair will fit in there.
It's a wonderful property with that being said and such nice people.
Thanks again,
Matt

I cannot recommend Villa Clodia more highly. The team looked after all 22 of us extremely well and the food and hospitality was excellent.
The villa itself is beautiful and the garden and pool are well maintained and very picturesque. Charlotte, our main point of contact was lovely and very helpful indeed. She made the trip extremely easy and was always happy to help.
I cannot fault the trip and I hope to return to Villa Clodia in the near future.
