The place was clean and welcoming. I was able to get quick responses whenever I needed a question answered. The location was perfect for walking to everything. We also learned about the 1799 inn on a ghost tour which was fun to do at night.
The only thing is the shower water would not get hot and the pressure was very low. But everything else was great.

Lovely building and spacious rooms. Owner responded to and resolved an issue promptly on our arrival.
The property is right next to the train station with trains passing at night impossible to sleep through. Unfortunately this was not clear on Booking.com only on the property's own website that we didn't see until after making the reservation. The sheet on the bed had not been washed - covered in hair and the property owner did not respond when informed. The sofa bed is pretty hard.
5.0
Authentic location right across from the train station on the main street, on-site parking and everything was within a short walking distance. The Ohio suite has authentic period trim and has a large main room with a couch, tv, dining table, kitchen counter and sink, FS refrigerator w/ freezer and microwave a separate bedroom with a king 4 post comfortable bed and a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and cute mirror and sink
Parking was tight and tricky with a lamp post and curb, Because of the age of the building the floor had different areas that were raised and the shower was a bit small, but like the trains coming through during the night it was a minor annoyance that added to its charm and authenticity.

Location was perfect. I loved the style of the house. It was clean and cozy. Loved the front porch.

No breakfast, only coffee. Location was excellent.
Cute place. Not much light from windows and low ceiling but ok for our needs.

Location was close to everything downtown and within walking distance to restaurants and shops.
Small bathroom and shower

I slept on the pull out sofa and it wasn't comfortable.

Used door key code
Not something we didn’t like, but the coffee reservoir had a good amount of scaling and the kitchen faucet was a bit wonky.

The place was clean and well set up.
The only thing that surprised me was the height of the ceiling. If I was over 6 foot, it would be an issue. I felt that I had to duck my head when I was in the room especially in the shower. Something should be noted in the description.

The place was nice.and historic. The layout was good. Shower hot, ac cold. Kitchen had the right stuff.
Dish drainer would be good. Back porch is nice and could be cleaned up a bit.
You shouldn't charge me to be an hour early.

The Location was the best. Our apt was without any pictures. Decor was rough. What I found out from the maid was it was going to be renovated. That will be great, but the kitchen was sparsely set. No broom and no can opener. I'm it is because of the overhaul.
Decor was rough.

Although very close to the train station (which we were made aware of pre- brooking) the proximity to the town and the Maryland Heights trailhead were perfect.
The porch needs to be cleaned. There were a lot of cobwebs and dust around the ceiling, floors, and railings.

Location is excellent, although proximity to train tracks might bother some people (ear plugs are provided and worked just fine). Management provided necessary entry and parking information, and was very responsive to questions. The apartment rented (the Pullman suite) was large and well equipped. The Harper's Ferry evening ghost tour (or whatever they call call it) started in front of the house, allowing us to overhear from the 1st floor porch, how the house is supposedly haunted! Definitely a first for us.
The Pullman suite is in the cellar of the house, with relatively low and exposed ceilings, and limited natural light The enclosed porch/entry area in front of the suite's entry door could have been spruced up a bit--and cleaner. As it was, it was being used as a storage area and needed to be swept/dusted. I suspect the rating would be much higher if we'd reserved one of the 1st or 2nd floor suites.

The location is ideal - within steps of restaurants and ice cream, the overlook, the lower historic town. After a long day of fishing, we didn't have to drive to dinner at The Rabbit Hole. We had breakfast at Battle Grounds Coffee and Bakery before leaving in the morning. The basement unit is cute and efficient with bright lighting and the shared porch provided great views of the trains coming and going.
The parking situation needs to be more clear. We would have packed differently if we knew we would be carrying our clothes across the parking lot and street from the train station to the house. In addition, Sunday in lower Harper's Ferry was VERY busy and train station parking was not available when we arrived. The house could use a good cleaning. The entry area is not inviting to seat and eat (dirty windows and window sills). The inside floors need mopped and the rafters need vacuumed. We were also believe we did not rent the basement unit and were shifted there but our original rental agreement is not clear so I might be incorrect.

Quiet well maintained historic home with great security.

It was extremely spacious and clean. I actually liked the train view and noise.
The ghost tour I stumbled on outside after hearing someone go up and down the steps to my door earlier that day to find no one there. Turns out I was dealing with a common haunting which would not have been terrifying if I wasn’t traveling alone. I was on the balcony when the tour passed and started explaining how haunted my room was and validated my morning experiences.

The Ohio apartment was adorable and the bed was very very comfortable. Everything was within walking distance, which was very convenient.
The train came LOUDLY all hours of the night. They left ear plugs next to the bed but that didn't work. Should have been told in advance.

No breakfast was provided. Only coffee.
Breakfast would have been nice.

nice appartment, nice patio to sit outside.
I think the despcription of the property needs to be more honest about the noise at night. We happen to be very good sleepers, but still at one of our two nights we were very, very much bothered by the trains passing by while using their horns extensively. maybe we were unlucky, but i think at least 20 trains passed by in one of our nights and if you are a light sleeper you will for sure be waked by that. Nice that the owners provide earplugs in the room, but for many paople that won't be enough....

Location, feel of the place had food vibes, and clean
No complaints, husband would've liked a TV in the bedroom for late night chill after a long day out hiking 😀

it was a full size bed. not a queen. that’s way too small for 2 grown adults.
bed size. also, a fan in the bedroom would have been nice.
