We were upgraded on arrival and we were staying for 3 nights so that was a bonus.
We had the Dinner B&B package so was a little disappointed to have a very limited menu offering i.e. 3 starters, 4 mains and 3 desserts but the majority of the Inclusive menu was aimed at Vegans or vegitarians.
Restaurant was also inconsistent with food preparation, first 2 nights we had a proper little side salad with the starters or mains however on the last night, it was just lettuce! Our toast for the pate was only toasted on one side and was sent back to the kitchen.
We had to wait about 15 mins for porridge or poached eggs, even though there was only about 10 people in for breakfast. Too much food cooked for the buffet breakfast for how many people in for breakfast, thus much of the sausage, bacon and black pudding was very dry.

A hook to hang your towel in the shower would have been useful. Comfortable bed. Nice dark room. Good value room.

The breakfast area was terribly managed.

Room and bath filled with paint scrapings. so changed room. No TV in new room for first evening! Poor experience from a hotel thats supposed to have been upgraded from immigrant hotel for last few years.

It was not a bad stay apart from kids running up and down the corridor on couple of nights at 6am

We stayed just outside of Leeds as an affordable option to spend the weekend in the city. It was an easy 15 min drive from the city centre, the room was clean and quiet.
We had a little bit of an issue checking in, but staff were super helpful and sorted it out straight away which was brilliant. So service is a 10/10. The pool could do with an update but for the price it was fine and the kids had fun!

It was peaceful and quiet

Room was as you would expect from a holiday inn. Our TV didn’t work initially but a very helpful member of staff came down and fixed that for us. Bit disappointing that the apps don’t work/can’t connect to the internet so there is only the option on live tv.
We used the pool which was nice (it’s only a small pool so we didn’t stay long as was getting quite busy (any more than 4 people really and it’s too much). Staff were friendly here,
We returned to the hotel after a night out and went in the hunt for snacks. A lady at reception told us if we waited at the bar somebody would come and serve us. Nobody came after about 15 minutes so we went back to reception and the other member of staff was quite rude and said ‘well the bar is shut - we opened it back up for those other people but not doing it again.’ Absolutely fine if we had missed the cut off but no need to be rude about it. Anyway that put a bit of a dampener on the stay but otherwise it was fine.

We booked a premier room as we were staying for a few nights and wanted a bit more luxury than your standard room. When walking down the corridor during the stay, I peeked into the standard rooms which were being cleaned and it looked exactly the same - so I'm not sure what we got as 'extra'. The room was okay, quite dated, but clean.
I wouldn't have put a negative review if it wasn't for the fact that we accidentally left a suit (in a suit bag) in the wardrobe when leaving. We realised within 24 hours and rang the hotel for them to state that the suit was not there/couldn't be found. We couldn't have possibly misplaced the suit and were certain it was there, therefore the only possibility is that it was stolen.
I then sent an email in to request an investigation into how a suit could disappear, and didn't get an acknowledgement or response.
Overall, I know it was our fault for leaving the suit, however what unscrupulous person would steal it! I could only imagine that it was housekeeping, as I expect that they would check & clean the room before another customer checks in. Very disappointing.

First room we were given had building work going on, we had to go back to reception to get another room. Second room we were in the electric went off and had to get different people to sort it out (first we thought it was just the TV not working). Service in restaurant was poor, stood there for 10 minutes and no one came to serve us, had to go to reception. Walls are paper thin and people were shouting in the corridor at 1am. Check out is at 11, not 12 as advertised on your website.

If you use a wheelchair or a mobilty scooter its very hard to get to your room on the ground floor as the lifts were out of order only way is to go out the hotel and via the car park not good if cold or wet plus dark
My room was cold and window hard to shut and then discovered my phone to reception did not work so had to go looking for a staff member to help me close also told they would move me as needed a shower not a bath . Hall way was damp smell. Got back to my room to discover my key hadvbeen changed so had to go all the wY around . My plug was not working in the bathroom. Lots of good staff but i did here a conversation as had mh assistance dog with me i here whos got her room wile being stared up

The hotel itself was fine, the rooms comfortable and clean. The staff are helpful and approachable.
There is, however, some basic problem with staff training. On checking in, we found another customer had been allocated the room we were meant to have but hadn't updated the system to reflect this. We were a late check in, after eleven, but we'd been at the hotel before check in was available and had left our luggage so the hotel knew we were coming. It took the night reception staff about 45 minutes to sort this and find us a room. The length of time wasn't ideal, but their actions were good and they were apologetic even though the issue was not their fault, I have no problem with them. They told us we would need to move to another room for our second night, which was a bit strange but no problem. The following morning we packed up and went to the desk, where the receptionist had no idea why we'd been told we'd need to move but said it would be no problem, we'd get sorted out later. Later came, and the first room we were given was already occupied. The room had been given to a customer and not been updated as occupied on the system. We did get a room after this with a updated bathroom which was very nice (the previous night the bathroom was dated and shabby) and we were given free drinks as an apology, so I'm still happy overall.
High points. Staff.
Low. Staff training. And the stair lifts for those with mobility issues weren't working.

The hotel was in a good location at the right price for our needs.
The hotel was clean, tidy and our stay was very good

The restaurant staff weren’t very friendly or helpful and half the food choices weren’t available on the menu. Otherwise heck in staff were great and stay was fine.

Room small tap not working as it should
Alarm noise

All the staff were excellent and the food was good too.
Easy access location.
Communal areas could have been cleaner. Our room was clean but a little tired. Could do with some repairs and a lick of paint.

Resolution of a room location issue at check-in was acceptably concluded by reallocation of our rooms to the same corridor as opposed to two totally different wings apart. The rooms were clean and comfortable; perfectly suited our needs. Breakfast staff were a little abrupt and publically challenging on the first morning, contrary to a respectful welcoming start to the day. This was not the case on the second morning when a supervisor was in place overseeing arrangements. Breakfast itself was buffet style and simply delicious, with a wide and varied choice of options. Only other niggle was the pool, where despite having booked in advance as per hotel requirement, members turned up unnannounced and pushed capacity over the limit, thus we were unable to enter at our preferred time and had to wait until there was availability.
We also enjoyed a lovely meal at the Millers and Butler pub/restaurant one evening, where the staff were very lovely and food very tasty. Overall, a nice short stay and the majority of staff were accommodating and pleasant. We would stay again, and recommend the easy access to Leeds city centre either by bus or train (10mins).

Arrived early so decided to have a coffee in the bar area, due to no early checkin being offered. Very unwelcoming lady working behind the bar. She was very negative in relation to the use of electronic card payment.
3.8
Although clean, the room (51) was small and cell like, and unfortunately further compromised by 2 very noisy swinging doors right outside the door. So, very expensive at £104.00.
3.8
Room booked for stay was a twin room 2 single beds this was booked weeks in advance.
Room supplied 1 double bed and a sofa bed not happy at all my partner and her friend then had to discuss with staff about sorting out room issue then was given another room 3 floor up.also they where given food that was not up to standard really should have been some sort of reduction for meals as this room issue ruined the start of was supposed to be a great weekend
So room issues and terrible food not good at all
3.8
Excellent friendly staff
3.8
bar food awful - fried in old fat with bits of whatever had been fried previously in with the meal. room reached by many sets of small steps and two staircases - no lifts and not great to do with suitcases. room ok and clean staff not very welcoming and just shoved a bit of paper at us with breakfast times option etc.
3.8
Check-in and front of house staff were all good. They forgot my food order for dinner which was a pain, but it eventually emerged. The seal in the shower was gone so it would leak, neither did the soaps work; just need some more checks on things really.

Great location for work the next day

The room we stayed in was dirty, had previous visitors belongings under the bed and dirty sheets. The door to the room did not always unlock to let us in, the bathroom door handle was broken and the toilet was leaking. All of which was reported and noone made an attempt to fix. There was no cold water for drinking as the cold tap ran steaming hot water which scolding my childs hand. The staff in general were quite rude and unhelpful with the acception of one lady on reception. Would not stay here again

Ideal location for wedding we were attending

Ideal location. Great staff, and accommodation. Food was excellent.

Friendly staff
Check in could be quicker
Great breakfast
3.8
The room was quite dusty with spider webs and also there was linen lying around directly to our window. So, the view wasn’t pleasant. Maybe the hotel should organise cleaner to maintain the hotel. Service was outstanding especially during breakfast. Breakfast was good
3.8
Flat Prosecco and taking 2 hours to have a meal was less than impressive. Staff seemed more interested with setting out tables for breakfast next day than serving our deserts which we had to remind them to bring.
We had to go in search of someone to pay for our meals.

All good

Decent value for money hotel with pleasant and efficient staff Ideal for a brief stsy
3.8
The first night (Sunday) very limited menu, dining room cold. Staff good, ate out after that. Breakfast: coffee machine extremely variable in efficiency ( no milk on last morning. Toaster, like all of them, inefficient. Staff pleasant but nearly every morning at least one item of cutlery missing so we took them off empty tables for speed.
3.8
Staff were very helpful. We had to ask at reception for Wi-Fi password as we were not given it when we signed in with breakfast and dinner times. The seat in the room was stained. The out side door had no lock so anyone could just walk in at anytime night or day.
3.8
From the outside the hotel looks a little run down, however once you walk though the door you feel like you have been taken somewhere else. Very pleasant staff and overall feel.
We stayed in a premium room, very clean and the bed was comfy. Also criticism would be that the shower ran out of the cubicle onto the floor, but easily sorted with towels. Also the chain lock on the main door had broke so we were only able to lock using the door lock, whereas I personally like that extra security- however these things did not ruin our stay.
The bonus of free parking is partly why we choose this accommodation during our visit to Leeds.
3.8
The hotel's cleanliness was okay. The beds were neat, the rooms were tidy, and the staff was very professional and always ready to help. However, the sofa bed mattress was not comfortable for the kids.
3.8
Hotel was ok a bit amazed that the bed was never made
