Wonderful hotel perched up on a hillside with a gorgeous view of the town.
Extremely comfortable and spacious rooms.
Huge pool and smaller jacuzzi. The extensive dinner buffet for 20 Euros was delicious. Relaxing garden area with lounge chairs and peacocks. Loved it all.

This hotel is in a stunning location 10 minutes outside Grazelema. We rented a car to tour and hike in the area, and the hotel is well located. The pool is lovely and views from the hotel are spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a room opening onto the garden - it was simple but absolutely adequate.
A large buffet breakfast is included in the room price. A la carte dining is available throughout the day and evening, and there is a buffet option for dinner as well. We found this to be a plus as it gave us the option to dine in after a day of hiking.

The staff were awesome. The breakfast and evening buffet were incredible.

It’s a lovely hotel, nice room , comfortable bed, pool is fantastic but you’re brave to get in it, it’s so cold but hot tub always full. I think they need more staff , poor guy in pool bar was non stop and we found some staff, let’s say a little unfriendly / not interested but the lady on reception was lovely and made us feel welcome though ! Presume the view from the room is deliberately blocked by huge trees real shame as the view is amazing.
We paid for the meal option although there is a restaurant 50m up the road so it’s a chance you take. Did not realise it was a buffet when we booked but overall both that meal and the breakfast were good and substantial
Shower was poor , head needs cleaning it sounded like a mouse being strangled. All in all good hotel

Great value hotel with a lovely pool and nice balconies. Very quiet at night even when busy on Saturday night. Good food breakfast and evening. Also a great restaurant just outside called Mesón los Alamillos that is also worth a visit. We asked for a safe key and a kettle for our stay, the only thing we would have liked is some coffee for the room.

Enjoyed our stay here. Staff helpful by booking a taxi for us.
Views are to die for. It’s out of town and an hour’s walk into Grazalema.
Food was great -buffet at breakfast and dinner. Delicious.

Really good place to chill, do hikes and just enjoy nature

The hotel is about 30 minutes from
Ronda, slightly further out than stated in other reviews and further than we expected. I want to commend Raul in the dining room. He is a star. Super helpful and polite. The pool is fun and the views are fantastic. The rooms and furniture need to be severely upgraded. The blow dryer in the bathroom is pathetic at best. We had a spider in one of the beds. We only stayed 1 night but will not be revisiting this property.

Great location, excellent hotel

This is a very nice, clean, quiet hotel with spectacular views of Grazalema and very nice swimming pool. The staff is very professional and kind. The breakfast offered is very good. Only thing I would say is that buffet dinner is overpriced for it's quality. It is good but not great and price is too expensive.

Quick and efficient check in so nice to be remembered from previous visits.upgraded to de luxe room nice suprise .excellent breakfast and dinner buffet and welcoming employees , I love this hotel for the beautiful location and the excellent standard offered by the Fuerte hotels highly recommended

Almost perfect. Superb breakfast. Excellent restaurant with a lot of contended patrons.

The hotel is wonderful. Delicious food, comfortable rooms and communal areas. The waiting staff in the bar/restaurant were lovely. The only thing that let it down, in our experience, was the reception staff. Maybe it was a language barrier, but we struggled to get much help or friendliness from them.

This hotel has spectacular views of the mountains on the other side of the valley. The room was clean and warm, and had its own terrace with a table and two chairs - perfect for morning coffee. The staff were very polite and helpful, and spoke in English when my Spanish faltered. The restaurant offered only a buffet dinner, but the variety and quality was commensurate with the “book before 8pm” price.
On the negative side the pool was roped off as it was half empty of water. The toiletries were basic, and there was only one washcloth at the bidet. Our timing was poor as the restaurant was overrun with noisy children - not the hotel’s fault, but it would be nice if they had a separate waiter-service restaurant.

This is a really well located hotel for the view. Really spectacular from all parts of the hotel. Some have commented that the rooms are basic, it’s true it’s not a boutique hotel, but it is clean and very comfortable. It had all we needed. Unless you want to drive you are stuck with the hotel restaurant. Dinner was a buffet, which was fine for one night. One thing I hadn’t realised, the walk into Grazalema was about an hour (it looks a long way).

Great hotel, great view and great staff. Options for eating limited to buffet style.

This place has the feel of a ski resort! It is so lovely, with excellent food, staff and views from the bar are phenomenal. You can walk from the property and Grazalema is about 3 km away - all in all, a beautiful stay!

We really loved our week staying here. We had a garden room with a lovely terrace that opened onto the garden with bunny rabbits running around everywhere and gorgeous views across the valley to Grazalema itself. Other guests could walk along in front of the terrace but it wasn’t a main thoroughfare and didn’t bother us at all. The room was really comfortable and though from the pictures the decor looked that it would be a little dated, all was in v good condition, the bed (two separate mattresses) was really comfortable and the air con worked well. Breakfast had lots of great choice, an egg chef who also made crepes, fresh fruit, good selection of teas... we also ate at the buffet evening meal a few times which had lots of choice and a selection of meat and fish choices cooked fresh to order. It wasn’t gourmet but was a great way to get some vegetables and salad which we found didn’t always feature so heavily on the menus in the restaurants in Grazalema itself. The dining area is quite canteen-like and can get noisy when it’s busy but there’s also a balcony a few people chose to eat out on to have a quieter dinner or breakfast but was a little too chilly for us. All the staff were really friendly and there was a lovely holiday atmosphere in the hotel. It was busy with Spanish families at the weekends and a but quieter in the weekdays but with a few coach parties stopping in for a night. We used it as a base for some great walking and really loved Grazalema

Spent 27 nights in Spain this summer. Fuerte was definitely the greatest of all the hotels for its comfort, service, food and its superb location.

Great base for walking in the natural park. Helpful staff and nice facilities.

Located on a mountainside within a national park. Within easy driving distance to the beautiful village on Grazalema where you can experience great restaurants and shopping. A drive on the park roads is mandatory, wonderful views. The hotel itself is in need of refreshing, it is 12 years old but looks 30. The owners need to invest some money. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Nice neighborhood, fantastic view, free parking, generous breakfast. Highly recommended. Would return anytime.

Beautiful views amidst the National Park and a forrest of cork trees. Every room has a very small patio with mountain views. Very narrow winding roads in and out. "Non-smoking" room smelled like an ashtray. Lots of noise through walls and patio door.

A relaxing stay with lovely mountain views from our room and dining areas.

Lovely view from the room. Hotel staff was not solicitous. The hotel offered absolutely no information about the area or activities in the area which is surprising given it is in a national park and area of white villages frequented by travelers. There were no brochures or maps offered or available. The WIFI did not work in the room. The food choices were expensive buffet only.

I enjoyed the location and tranquility of this hotel.

This is a lovely resort perched on top of the mountain. The view is magnificent from your room, dining room or poolside. You have a view of Grazelema. After traveling around Spain, this is a great place to put up your feet. We enjoyed a lovely buffet dinner in the evening as well. Choose your room with a balcony or on the level of the pool with access to its garden.
1.3
Extremely well run, with helpful staff and good facilities. The only reason for giving the location a medium score is that we were visiting as part of a walking trip in the Grazalema Park and, when approached from the north west, we had to walk the last few kilometres on the road rather than paths.
2.5
Great location, lovely room, friendly staff and great buffet breakfasts. Good dinners as well especially the buffet.
