The wedding venue itself was lovely , staff friendly and food was good
The rooms left much to be desired. Cramped, dated and incredibly thin walls. I knew every time my neighbour had a pee during the night!

Nothing
Room very small. Asked for twin room given a far too small double looking like a single. So uncomfortable could not sleep.
Electrical wiring tv cables.hanging down. This particular room 21 far too small. Whilst casually walking around the perimeter of the Abbey to admire the premises I was approached by a member of staff saying that they were preparing for a wedding and the guests would need privacy, There was NOT one guest or anyone around.

It is a beautiful place to stay, it was clean, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was plenty, the round tables are a nice way to get talking to other guest, if you want. It was a pleasant stay for a good price. Thank you.
Fitting the theme of an Abbey, the rooms are small and so was the en-suite so I would be concerned to stay there for more than a couple of nights. Bed was a little hard for my liking.

The location was excellent and the grounds. The breakfast and staff were very polite and helpful.
The bed only had 2 pillows and there were no extra available in the room. The ensuite bathroom had a very small sink which was difficult to use and the tiles and grout in the shower were not clean so we did not use it but reported this to reception on the morning of 30th June.

Perfect location to stay a weekend whilst visiting family. Breakfast was perfect.
Had a few events on so was never able to go to the bar however there is a pub 10 minute walk up the road.

Room too small, bathroom covered in mildew and dirty breakfast lukewarm

Beautiful grounds
Room was tiny and had a musty smell. The bathroom was equally tiny. The breakfast was adequate but underwhelming. Would not stay there again which is a pity because it is in a lovely setting.

Perfect stop off on the way back from Hampshire to Manchester - hotel is situated near the high street, not far from the Roald Dahl museum. Quiet location and little traffic so its nice to wander down the high street where there is a choice of pubs and restaurants. You can walk the many trails around the village and beyond. Hotel does a very nice self-service breakfast. Very comfortable double bed.
Rooms are small by most modern standards but adequate and as usual only 1 bath towel and 1 medium towel provided - do hotels think couples are going to share bath towels ? Would prefer these to be provided on arrival rather than having to ask every time. Didn't realise the hotel had a bistro so it would help if menus were more visible, we did however enjoy a nice curry in the village restaurant.

Outside is lovely that’s where it ends.
The bed is not suitable for 2 people, pillows as flat as pancakes and the bed is tiny! One towel per 2 people is very unusual. Very difficult to move a round in the room we certainly couldn’t have stayed for more than 1 night.
Breakfast, menu on table states breakfast available to order, when we asked to order we were told oh that’s not available today. Instead we could help ourselves to the cold porridge and luck warm eggs. The sausage and bacon were nice though, I was looking for positives.

Location excellent and grounds lovely - Abbey itself interesting and in a beautiful setting. Staff very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was very clean. Breakfast was good.
Our room in the Coach House provided adequate overnight accommodation but was a little tired and there were some maintenance issues in the bathroom.

Room and facilities were fine
We were advised on check in there had been some disturbances so expected the staff to be on top of it. Both nights our room stunk of marijuana with other guests gathered in neighbouring rooms making a lot of noise (paper thin walls)

Breakfast was great. Staff were amazing. Beautiful grounds. A lovely view from our window.
A bedside table both sides of the bed would have been useful.

The location was great and the main house and gardens were lovely. The staff were very friendly.
The rooms and doors could do with a refurb and a lick of paint

Bed was very comfortable, staff were very friendly
Room layout was awkward - not as in photo. The bed wasn’t near the light switch and bedside table was out of reach.

location lovely and perfect for our visit and staff welcoming and friendly
the bed is a small double and was not suitable for two people to sleep without gripping the sides of the bed . resulted in a very uncomfortable night even the pillows were hanging of the bed. the bathroom is also tiny .

The location and the breakfast were good.
The noise! Please make sure to ask BEFORE you book whether there is an event at this location. There were TWO events either side of the coach house which we were only made aware of AFTER booking and payment had been taken. When we checked in, we could hardly hear the receptionist and she could hardly hear us! We were hoping that our rooms would be quieter, but they weren't and the noise continued until 1.45am. Honestly the worst night's sleep I've ever had. Reception staff just weren't bothered and the Email I sent has been ignored. We wouldn't stay here again, even though it was a perfect location for us to visit family.
Also be aware that the rooms are very small and I'm sure the double beds are small doubles. Our daughter's accommodation at university is bigger than these rooms and certainly quieter!

Spacious, luxury room. Good location, 40 mins by train to London and in the middle of the Chilterns. Excellent warm breakfast that's included in the price. Very friendly staff.

The girl who served in the breakfast room was outstanding in her manner, helpfulness and attention to detail.
Breakfast well cooked and sufficient in quantity.
The screen that was put across was a shock! We had hardly had time to get our bearings and might have wanted to return to the cereals section. Maybe a warning would be helpful?
We arrived for breakfast at 8.30 and there was very little there. The option of soya milk or similar and maybe some dried fruit and seeds to have with the oats OR a muesli option would be appreciated.

Everything
Signage to bedroom. The word "bedrooms" should be separate from the other named rooms. I went the wrong way.

location spot on for town facilities. loads of parking and facilities more that required.
room slightly small and set up for training centre use but adequate for working away

The location was excellent, and the staff very pleasant.
The bedroom could have been a little larger, but this did not detract the overall situation of our stay.

Stunning property. History and modern design combined. Beautiful location. Nice pubs, restaurants and cafes in the village right next door. Accommodation of a high standard and great range of meeting and syndicate rooms.

Great building and setting with very friendly staff. Also very competitively priced.
Slightly dated rooms could do with a refresh, but still comfortable.
