This is our third visit to this hotel. Always feel so welcome. Our room overlooking the lake was beautiful and we really enjoy the food and ambience.

Cleanliness helpful staff and the area around the hotel.

Wonderful experience

As soon as you walk through the sliding entrance doors you feel at home. This feeling is then endorsed by the friendly reception staff.
Rooms are very good, Catering is of a high standard but throughout our stay we were consistently impressed by the Staff.
Thanks guys

No wifi. Was not informed when booking. Was not informed on arrival. Attitudue of staff when I complained was not good. Given I have stayed here numerous times before this will be my last time

We celebrated our Golden Wedding at the Coniston Hotel, along with 12 friends. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The service was excellent and the location was superb with views over the lake from all our rooms. All our friends thought the hotel was a perfect venue for our weekend celebration. The Winston' s Barn private dining room was fabulous.

What can I say. Our stay was one of the best, if not the best stay I have ever had. I love this hotel. Beautiful grounds, beautiful food, beautiful building. I want to give a special mention to Thomas and Flo on reception. They were incredible. Breakfast to go was ready for 5.00am (we were hiking the three peaks) and nothing was too much for these two staff. Flo was so helpful and friendly and Thomas was such a delight to deal with. The spa: WOW! Pricey but worth it. Wonderful. I’ll see this hotel soon!

The SPA trip was excellent, not too busy and staff were very friendly. The main hotel was nice and clean. We were slightly disappointed with the age of the room. The bathroom shower was leaking on the shower head with mould on some of the silicon sealant. The TV in the room was very small compared with other hotels in the same price category.

Wonderful stay from start to finish, completely exceeded our expectations in every way, wonderful rooms, great food and lovely staff everywhere we went.

A nice break overall. One criticism would be the shower needs a mat as the shower floor was very slippy. Food was very good and the staff excellent.

Ok hotel ,good dinner options

The fact I’d paid £204 per night only to be told we had to pay £40 per head for 2 hours use of pool!! This is a complete rip off!

The hotel was great but the expedia web site stated whilst staying we would have accto the pool. I then had to pay £60 extra for this and i think Expedia has miss led me. Regards Paul nutter

Spent 2 days here. Good location if your visiting Skipton, Malham Cove or Settle etc. Restaurant has a great view of the lake (which you can walk round), the staff are well presented and helpful (and plentiful) and the breakfast is excellent. Unfortunately our room overlooked the car park so we did not have the view on the picture.

Two night stay in a classic room with breakfast. To be honest I was expecting a lot more for over £400 for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable but there was no bath and really is on a par with a Premier Inn. When we enquired at reception about using the pool & outdoor hot tub we are told it would cost a further £80 per couple for two hours! I’ve stayed in lots of spa hotels and never been asked to pay an extra supplement to use leisure facilities.
The breakfast on both mornings was very pleasant, good choice of both cooked and continental options using good quality ingredients and all well cooked.
All in all, we both felt that for £400+ the wow factor was missing, and not being able to have a swim in the pool unless we forked out another £80 was rather greedy. Leisure facilities included it would have been a fair price, but it’s slightly sorted out stay and for that reason I’d look to book elsewhere in the future. I explained all the above to reception when we checked out who did welcome the feedback. I don’t think I’m the first to comment on this issue!

Hotel is in a great location. Our room was very disappointing. We booked a 'superior' room with a patio but it was at the end of a very long corridor facing the car park, next to the laundry room and the road to the spa. Service vehicles parked next to the patio from 8.20 am onwards. Breakfast in room because of Covid restrictions was fine but cooked food not hot. We ate in the restaurant once and it was good but we had better food and better value at other places locally. We enjoyed ourselves because it's such great area but felt the hotel was quite expensive for what it was especially as now have to pay £25 for a session in the spa.

It was lovely but paid a lot considering the spa was closed breakfast good food in the restaurant very expensive and poor quality paid £11 for a ploughman’s lunch it was terrible and hardly anything on it

This was booked as a surprise for my parents wedding anniversary and they had a great time and really enjoyed the lake.

Room good but not particularly spacious. Breakfast excellent although we weren’t asked if we wanted anything else from self service area before it was swiftly cleared away at 9.30am prompt. Spa nice but restrictive 2 hour slot. 4x4 experience with Tony superb, highly recommend the signature experience.

Although this is a good hotel with friendly staff it is let down by lack of attention to detail like no well lit mirror and cheap one temperature hairdryer imprisoned in a drawer with barely enough cord. The shower wasn't brilliant either. You can't call yourself a luxury hotel if you don't provide luxury items in your rooms.
Was impressed by service and food in restaurant in evening but breakfast was very ordinary. Frozen hash browns have no place on a Yorkshire breakfast and eggs were over cooked. We didn't complain at time as one of our groups' breakfast was so delayed we didn't want another wait.

Very nice hotel in beautiful grounds onlyone complaint about the infinity pool at the spa not enough beds and no shaded areas so guests of the hotel can use the facilities which is reflected in the price of the hotel but you would have to get up early and put your towel on a chair to be guaranteed a chair so wasn’t impressed at all.

Stayed here before the new dining room extension and the spa were built and definitely feel the prices have risen to pay for these! The room was very small but clean and comfortable unfortunately overlooked the car park not the lovely rural scenery at the back of the hotel. Breakfast was very good. Have stayed in much better rooms which I felt were more worthy of the £180 B&B charge. Didn’t use the spa facilities as were attending a wedding in Settle.

Beautiful setting. A truly lovely location. We were staying for two nights. The welcome was nice, but not outstanding. The superior room was clean but there was several lights that didn't work. The bathroom was very spacious with plenty toiletries. The robes could do with a bit of fabric softener! The bar area with roaring fire was superb, very relaxing. The food in the Huntsman Lodge was delicious - we went for the British Selection for two. Highly recommend and excellent value for money. Breakfast was very good - lots to choose from and prompt service. An enjoyable stay.

Hotel was in lovely setting, waking up in the morning to be greeted by the sheep coming up the hill outside the window. A nice relaxing stay here, good food and friendly staff made for a pleasant stay. Staff were helpful. Enjoyed going for a swim after a day out. Then enjoyed a nice meal in the Huntsman lodge .

At our speedy check in we ordered a bottle of prosecco for the room and no sooner had we put our bags down there was knock at the door - an obviously stressed waiter with the bottle in an ice bucket and two glasses (warm) both of which were thrust into my hands, whilst I was still holding the door open Do you want me to open it ? I decided no as obviously he wanted to be else where. Not what we call room service - yes the bottle was quickly delivered but there was no service. Where was the tray, where was the greeting,.... warm glasses- we may as well have bought one at a supermarket. There was a wedding going on and obviously they took priority! This was our second visit and sad to say not as enjoyable, since then possibly we have stayed in nicer hotels and it did come across rather dated and 3*, not individuality we remembered and the dinner menu was very predictable pub grub. All the dog friendly extras were there which is a nice touch but at £15 it would be a nice gesture to offer a doggie breakfast. Not sure if we will stay again or look elsewhere

Excellent hotel. Made you feel wanted from the start to the end. Amazing views to the lake and amazing food and breakfast too.

Arrived after longer than usual journey due to typical Friday traffic chaos on the roads. Welcoming Check In. Really enjoyable evening meal and breakfast the next morning after reasonable sleep in a warm clean bedroom.
The only peculiarity was a telephone call from reception at midnight to say there had been a complaint by a room to one side to request my television volume be turned down. I am 60 years old and of all the years of my travelling up and down the UK I have never been requested to do this before. On reflection - the TV was mounted on the bedroom wall rather than as is normally the case during my travels- on the bedroom dressing table/drawer unit. Perhaps the bedroom walls are too thin for the TV to be wall mounted ? This next room customer complaint completely spoiled my relaxation after a delightful late evening meal as I overcompensated the lack of TV volume for fear of further complaints.

PIcked the hotel specifically because of its clay shooting ground and was not disappointed!
Everyone was friendly and eager to help or answer any questions.
Will definitely be going back again.☺

We booked last minute but the reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely meal in the Huntsman restaurant the atmosphere was very warm and inviting and the room is decorated feel very cosy.

Excellent setting and very good spa facilities. However, hotel room was only satisfactory and had poor sound proofing. We stayed over a weekend where there were weddings on and were woken up in the early hours by guests returning to their rooms. Staff were very friendly and did move us after the first night. For a hotel with such a lovely setting and excellent spa facilities we were expecting the rooms to be slightly larger and of a higher standard.
