Usually great hotel and again didn't fail to deliver, great service form the staff.
However given they have just reconditioned the rooms the bathrooms where hardly touched, fresh paint and silicon but you would of though you would recondition the shower heads and grout!!

Great location , close to the train station, a 10 minute walk from the city centre and close to a variety of bars and restaurants. The hotel itself had been recently refurbished before our last stay so the room and hallways felt particularly fresh. The breakfast buffet, as always, was excellent and the new menu choices were delicious. Whilst spoilt for choice for eateries within walking distance, the hotel restaurant is worth a try. It offers a great evening menu and really tasty food.
2.5
Central hotel, friendly & helpful staff. Very clean, good facilities & lovely breakfast. Perfect stay.

Overall a good experience, but small things could have been done to enhance the experience.
Opening the window was a bit noisy (not the hotel's fault), but the air conditioning was a also noisy and only went down to 18 degrees.
The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were a bit lumpy.
The green glow from the emergency light was very intrusive - many people like a dark room, and this was not possible.

Room looked nice enough although check in took a while as they weren’t sure what rooms were free, bathroom had towel rail hanging off a looked very tired an in need of an upgrade. The most annoying was that we booked a king room an it was 2 single beds pushed together and they were not fixed so when you rolled over in the night they slid apart which was a nightmare….

Great location, easy check-in, any issues dealt with quickly and efficiently, comfy bed, excellent shower, good hairdryer, nice bar area.

We paid a lot of money for our 2 night at the Hotel and we were not impressed. For a start they gave us a room with 2 singles beds when i had booked a King size. Room was not clean. The safe and TV had chewing gum on them. After 5 times of complaining nothing was done. It was not until last moment that something was done. The room was not cleaned properly.
Would not recommend this hotel and we will be writing to Head Office with a formal complaint.
4.0
Great place and close to everything. The only negative is the limited menu at the restaurant
2.5
Very convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast could be open a bit later at weekends but that says more about us than the hotel? I'd happily stay there again.

2nd stay there, very handy for nearby theatre and restaurants. Staff really friendly and looked after us, particularly effervescent girl from Yarm 👍👏

Lovely place to stay, would recommend.
Loved the added addition of the balcony, especially as the room was warm.

Great location and nice hotel. Parking a little tricky but lots around if required.

Room 337 was very quite. Room 339 was very noisy with air conditionning noise during the night, despite it was off. Shower of room 337 was not very clean (black molds at various locations). Breakfast very good (top quality yogourt, good croissant, orange juice used to be far better but new one orange juice just normal, fruits, english breafast top chef) . Sealing of room door just not existing thus noise from corridor in the room.

Staff were so lovely and hospitable 10/10 for them.
However, We were Disappointed we paid £100 per night and the beds were 2 singles pushed together on wheels, even though I selected “king size bed’ option, they moved around every time we got on & multiple times through the night from the slightest movement.
The Woden flooring and the gap under the door meant you heard everything from the hallway - especially the echoing banging of closing doors.
We heard good things about the refurbished rooms but we stayed on the first floor.missing covers on the shower dials and a really dusty wardrobe I had to wipe down myself before storing clothes.
The floors seemed to have not been hoovered or mopped as our feet got covered in dusts when we took our shoes and socks off.
The hotel is an idea location and good base but the room quality and beds made the stay feel not worth the money.

Lovely hotel central to all local amenities lovely service room was bright and recently renovated which was an added bonus

There is plenty of parking at the hotel and the reception and bar area is lovely.
For me the rooms are poor, the bed is not comfortable, the bedding felt cheap, the pillows had no puff in them and the room was really hot. I had a really poor night sleep

The location of this Hotel is perfect and easy to get to and park. We spent a couple of days here to watch England play in the euro final and had a great time.
The first days breakfast however was not good. The Chef on duty over cooked the egg, black pudding and the bacon was worst than leather. The service was also very poor, my wife asked for brown sauce (twice), it arrived after she finished her meal, and I asked for a second coffee and am still waiting. The second day was much better, but it does appear that the staff operate in a haphazard way, ie there is no continuity.

Very handy for station and all things city centre

We have been visiting the hotel for 11 years now and we were pleasantly surprised to see a complete refurbishment of the reception and rooms when we arrived! Room was excellent as was the food and staff!

Nice to see hotel being refurbished.

Breakfast excellent.
Great location

The Good:
The staff were excellent. Very polite and courteous.
Hotel was very central in location.
The Bad:
Parking - it was not clear that parking was an additional charge and this put the cost for 1 night to £197.00
The Room: The room was tired. Paint missing from doors and fixtures. The bed was awful and dipped in the center - sleep quality was poor.
Food: Had a full english breakfast. Tasteless.
Summary - not good value for money, would not recommend and behind a premier inn for standard of room

The most astounding aspect was the bundles of energy who dealt with welcoming me to breakfast. So positive - it was impossible not to smile. The breakfast itself was good. More generally, staff attitude could not be more friendly. The room was very comfortable and quiet. I would have liked a bat, but the shower is very good. I have stayed here previously (not sure under the current brand name) - if you do have a room close to the lifts, you do get night time noise.
The car parking facilities are tight - I have an SUV (and therefore I probably deserve any resulting problems) and the parking bays are small.
My main take aways from this hotel is good location, nice rooms but mostly great staff attitude.

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for city centre and tourist attractions, fantastic for NX Newcastle across road where we were attending a gig.
3.0
Not a good stay.
4.0
Easy parking, good breakfast and staff friendly. Room was small and generic compared to other more quirky hotels in this brand, noise from other rooms and lovely view of the car park
2.5
Beautiful decor, friendly and funny staff. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Outstanding service from all. We will be returning and would definitely recommend!

Great location quiet room very helpful staff and good breakfast
2.5
Absolutely great, breakfast great, rooms lovely, location very central, staff friendly. Only slight niggle was at check in took £25 deposit on card which was fair enough but also took card details and input into the computer. The person on check in could not explain why they needed both or what happens with card details. It was explained much clearer by someone else when we checked out but in a day and age of scamming you want to know what happens with your confidential info. Possibly just a small training requirement.
4.0
Would have preferred buffet breakfast and more dining options. Tea but no coffee provided in the room
Room temperature adjustment very good and adequate sockets and usb outlets along with mini fridge.
