Had an amazing honeymoon here last week. We stayed in Kokonoe which had a private open air bath. Right at the star, the staff was very polite and took care of us extremely well. The room we had was so nice and did not leave us wanting for anything. The open air bath especially was a treat and I did not want to leave, especially as my view during was breathtaking. I chose the option that included both breakfast and dinner and I was amazed at the traditional Japanese meals I received. There were so many small dishes that made for a great culinary experience. I also enjoyed the great beverages during dinner and would recommend the kiwi liqueur. I wanted to specifically give thanks to Kameda who made conversation with us with the English he knew and was very kind during our meal. This is definitely a place I would recommend to those who want a relaxing time away from the city and a culinary experience.

Amazing!!! The service was awesome and the hotel and room felt very luxurious. Even the clothes they gave us to wear were very comfortable! The meals were plentiful but perhaps a bit too fancy/unique for us, and we are not picky eaters. The public bath house for women is also quite small (not sure about men’s), so we just used our private hot spring in our room instead which was perfect for 2 people to sit in at one time.

Heavenly! They provide free shuttle to the main train station. Food is amazing, but you need to like Japanese food. Onsen is so relaxing.

Their service overall was very pleasant, the facilities were amazing including the private onsen. Only couple of complaints is their English was a bit limited, the property was easy to miss when navigating to it on Google Maps, and they left us to figure out how to set up our futons.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The hot spring attached to the room is amazing. Two toddlers were having so much fun.
The problem is that only one high chair available at the restaurant, the other toddler has to be squeezed into a small booster seat.
And there were many stairs from the restaurant to the room, which made it a bit dangerous to carry toddlers and climb the stairs at the same time.
But they are provided a separate room for us with the kids at the restaurant.
Overall experience is not bad

Facilities of ryokan rare well designed to not give feeling of busyness, with staff every ready to please. Since this is a very traditional ryokan, we didnt really mind that few staff could communicate in English (we were really the minority).

Japanese countryside, worthwhile culinary experience at Ryokan. Relaxing setting, indoor and outdoor hot baths on site, they give you traditional robes to wear on site. We did a beautiful walk from town to Ryokan through local residential neighborhoods, temple, shrines, vegetable gardens. Futon beds in rooms. Kind staff, limited English.

I do not have any negatives to write. Good Room, Good Hot Spring and Good Food.
