Interesting neighborhood to say the least, but overall the hotel was enough for the price.
Some furniture shopping wouldn't harm the place tho.
If i ever come back to frankfurt, i might come back depending on the price

Traveler beware! Unless your stay in Frankfurt is for erotica or sex tourism, this isn’t the place or area for you. This hotel is situated in the heart of a red light district. Cost ratio for quality not balanced. Non-smoking but reeks of cigarettes and gross air fresheners to cover the stink (but only mixes and worsens the scent). Bathroom was dirty with remnants of previous guests present. In-room TV, without remote, stuck in master menu setting (as in from the main office). Lights in bathroom partly burned out. Springy nasty mattresses and peeling vinyl headboards.
Frankly, I’m astounded that a reputable site like Expedia could even consider this seedy place as eligible for a listing. Sure Hotel 44, but Eros 42 (the very next door in fact sharing a wall with this hotel) is a red light establishment!

A bad neighbourhood and an atmosphere to match.

We needed a hotel for the night and were arriving late. For our budget there was little choice do we booked it knowing from previous guests comments it was not on a good area.
We arrived by taxi driver helped us with luggage. Hotel was clean reveption area was a bit offputting but friendly welcome. We booked a taxi for 6.30am the folllowing morning when we arrived down stairs to check out the taci was waiting for us. Thrrefore 5***** for this. Bedroom and ensuite clesn and comfi and there was a balcony. Again 5***** for this. But tge district is a no no. We spent a week touring and returned to frankfurt the following week. Stayed at the Savoy hotel which is dead oppposite the railway station.2** hotel 5***** location Passible as you could walk around around.

Hotel situated next to brothel in red light/ drug area
2.0 / 10.0
The property is in the middle of the red light district and is next door to a brothel. Handy if that's what you're looking for I suppose. The street immediately outside and surrounding the hotel also seems to attract a huge number of drug addicts (I would guess they are accommodated very nearby, but I didn't ask). I opened my curtain in the morning, after a restless night's sleep, to see a man taking a hit from his crack pipe. I'm glad I only stayed for one night as I was travelling onwards by train the following day. Pretty unpleasant experience and wouldn't be returning in a hurry.

Although the room was clean, there are no breakfast facilities at this hotel.
The hotel is convenient for the station but the area is horrific! Junkies and homeless people everywhere and the hotel is next to a seedy sex/night club where the music on a Saturday night does not finish until 3am on Sunday morning.
I felt quite unsafe leaving and walking to the hotel.

My husband and I booked a hotel stay for one night in Frankfurt at this hotel. The booking was completed on November 27th at 9:40AM, but due to very serious personal reasons, we had to cancel our trip to Germany altogether and submitted our cancellation with a refund request on November 28th around 10:00AM, almost exactly 24 hours later. It is our understanding that it took Expedia several days to get in touch with the Hotel Forty Four management, which we very much appreciate. When the Expedia team got in touch with them, the hotel refused the refund. We did not receive a penny of the amount we paid for that one night in Frankfurt, and I will certainly never recommend this place to anyone I know! .. I just could not believe this whole situation happened and have never experienced this with any hotel management in the past, even those with very strict rules on cancellation. Flexibility, at least within a 24 hour period, would be appreciated.

It is an okay place for a short stay, when I arrived they gave me the key but the room was dirty, the cleaning guy was very nice tho!
Obviously the Frankfurt hbf surroundings are horrible, people doing heroine laying on the floor, really scary of you’re a woman by yourself
Very noisy at all times
That said the room is okay for the price, but the hallway smells strongly like piss

Room was clean and nice for the price. The area where hotel its is horrible. Junkies everiver, brothel and gambling facilities nex door. No safe parking on the site. We had to park in different neighborhood. From 2:30 in the night to 5:00 in morning very loud musick was plaing. Hotel is pet frendly but is too noisy and they wanted 50€ depozit cash. Who dos have cash in this days? And lastly in the midle of the night painting fell from the wall missing our heads just by inch. So if its just for one night and you do not have car or pet it is ok for the price. But I do not recomend booking this hotel.

This place was hanging I was bitten and now my nose is so painful the hotel was dirty. And nothing but drug addicts hanging around the door when I got their nose all night from them then building work across the way from the building outside the room. There were spiders all over the room never again in my life not a good stay

We needed to rest on our car journey through Europe and this place suited well.

The hotel is OK. I didn't mind the area at all, but the place itself is very small, and there is no breakfast like reviews suggested. I probably read old reviews and was confused. You'd be much better off getting a nice hostel with kitchen where you can also socialize with other people. Here you are alone with no activities and no way to meet people and have food and it's not cheap at all. I was here just for 1 night so it was OK

Great deal unless you are afraid of being next door to a brothel. Recently renovated, modern bathroom.Decent breakfast included. Very convenient location close to railway, street cars, restaurants etc. beware of the brothels.

The hotel was in possibly the seediest street in the area. Tiny bedroom with very soft bed and pounding music from next door all night, right up until the noise from the trains started. Not recommended at all.

Staff were excellent, my buns were glistening, I think you should get some air conditioning.

The area is the worst area you can ever go in Frankfurt. Full of prostitutes drunk people and junkies. The hotel was good clean and decent but the area was ruining everything. They said on the website free parking and the parking was not private but on street and not free at all. They damaged my car at night and then it was hard to carry on with my trip to Greece

Evening staff was wonderful. Very clean rooms however, hotel needs an update, door knob was broken, one of the fans and the shower doors did not retain water well. Overall, hotel was great for the price.

The location is not ideal for a family. The hotel is located close to the train station, but is located in a seedy part of town (about a block and a half radius all around). The street was populated with prostitutes and homeless people, some of which were using drugs. The night brought several visits from the police breaking up fights. The hotel is also surrounded by seedy businesses (strip clubs/bars and sex stores), which brought loud street noise at night that interupted sleep. The hotel itself was nice. Once you walk a block and a half either direction, the neighborhoods were better, with family friendly businesses and restaurants.

The room was dirty and there wasn’t enough beds in the room for what we requested.
6.0 / 10.0
The hotel was clean but falling apart. In my room, the door handle to the bathroom fell off on multiple occasions. In my kid's room, the door to the balcony was not secured to the top hinge so anyone could have pushed the door open if they tried.
Breakfast was sub-par and getting up to the breakfast room was sketchy at best (shaky elevator and unsafe stairs).
But, the location was the biggest drawback. It was very convenient to the train station, but it was in a VERY shady part of town. The entire street was strip clubs and we happened upon a group of homeless people smoking crack (literally) right around the corner. Luckily my kids are older, but I would definitely NOT recommend for anyone with younger kids.

My visit in Frankfurt was for only one night. For one night it was alright stay. For a vacation, no. The staff was great. Not so much of the location, but the hotel itself. It didnt have a lobby where you can sit and wait to be checked in. Although there was no waiting. You cannot check in early The was cozy. Of course the tv language is german. Oh, very tasty breakfast, strong good coffee. For a one night stay, ok oh another thing, the red light district is dead smack in the city centre.

Service was excellent and the hotel was really nice. The only knock is, the location. Its in a really sleezy neighborhood. Strip club right next door.

Feel unsafe at the middle of red light area. Next to a club. People on street look horrible. A guy shouting on street for 10 minutes at 5am.

Hotel is fine, clean and been been updated. Breakfast is included. But while close to main station the neighborhood is for homeless, drunks, beggars, sex workers (on offer Eros, Sex Inn etc). So may not be everyone's cup of tea. There was also a concert on the street corner (stage, speaker system, portaloos etc)one evening, loud but over by 10pm or so.

Hotel was as illustrated on pictures, also didnt have A/C in room, only a cheap stand fan. Room like was not working AT ALL, only the toilet light works. So we would have to be in the dark during the night. Hotel is located on red light district, Eros house is literally next to the hotel and there are junkies EVERYWHERE by the streets. It is NOT family friendly and NOT suitable for female travellers. The only pros is the fact that they are cheap and clean, but location is not safe. We travelled in a group of 4 females and would always go back before the skies get dark. Did not enjoy our trip in Frankfurt.

Very cozy and clean room. Great breakfast on the top floor. Was not crazy about the neighborhood the hotel was in, but it's in excellent walking distance to the Main and downtown, and a minute from the train station.

Located in the red light district. Felt fairly safe going out to dinner by myself a couple of blocks away, but as a female training fling alone, not the location I would have chosen. Was close to the train station.

A great hotel, a short walk from the station. Although the hotel is in the red light district we had no issues walking around during the day. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. The hotel does not have aircon which was fine for our stay but I would not want to stay in summer.
