This is one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at. Spotless room and bathroom, and the most exceptional service from the employees at the front desk. Truly loved my stay here. I have never received friendlier service! And the location is perfection.

Zack was the best! Offered suggestion for dinner and was fantastic! Very helpful throughout my stay. Only odd thing was toilet was located in other area of room from sink and shower. No shelf for shampoo etc in shower. Drinking Glasses were sitting upside down directly on sink. No parking at hotel. Have to walk approx 3-5 mins with your luggage to get here.

Room takes quite awhile to warm up because of high ceilings. Also water takes awhile l.

Room was cute, but tight. Great use of space, but small. The location was right in the middle of all things Salem, easy walk to everywhere. Be aware, no parking near the hotel and you will need to walk from a parking deck with your bags.

It was a nice place. The entrance through a cafe was a bit different and no parking was also. Make sure you pack light and be prepared to walk a bit with your luggage. There is parking close by, the rooms were amazing and the staff was amazing! You are right in the heart of Essex street and easy walking distance to just about everything.

The location was right in the heart of everything Salem and we walked everywhere. The staff was delightful. The room itself could use some updating and the curtains were broken.

Clean boutique hotel. Room clean and styled nice. But small. Hotel roof top bar nice. Hotel advertises parking available, but note that parking is not on site..it is either street or public lot/garage. Parking made check in and out a bit inconvenient.

We were in Salem for a family wedding. The Hotel is on a walking street and closest parking (meter) is a block away. We didn't know this when we booked. We had good weather but moving bags to the hotel and back to the car could have been a problem in the rain as would have been walking to the car in our wedding attire. Other than that, the Hotel was a good place to explore Salem.

This property is in the middle of everything and the only place in town with a rooftop bar/restaurant. The views are excellent. I was a solo traveler who reserved one of the MircoKing rooms and found it to be PERFECT for my needs. Excellent use of the space. The staff was wonderful and the hotel is beautiful. I didn't have a chance to try the downstairs restaurant, but the rooftop was great.

In the middle of Essex St. Perfect. Parking is crap though.

The hotel was nice i did not like the barn doors on the bathroom tho. The area was decent but there were homless people sleeping right outside and since the hotel has no onsight parking leaving at 4am with your wife and child walking past them was a bit nerve racking for them. Over all not bad but salem is not what i thought and will never be back

The staff here are amazing, and the location is perfect for visiting all the sights. Our loft-style king room was the highlight for my daughter. This will be the hotel for us, every time we visit Salem!

I had my service dog with me, all staff were friendly and accommodating. The roof top bar was pretty cool, rooms were clean and my favorite part was the seltzer tap they had on each floor. It was literally the best seltzer I’ve ever had. The hotel is right in the middle of Essex St where all the shops and restaurants are. It’s walkable the cemetery and witch memorial, the witch house, the Ropes house etc. Perfect location.

The property was right in the middle of the Salem action. Everything was within walking distance. The room I had was large and clean. They have food options at the hotel which makes it convenient as well.

My room overlooked the back alley and I had to keep the shades closed because there were beggars out there and empty booze bottles and trash seemingly every day. The TV did not rotate so I had to watch everything on the bed. It took over 10 minutes to get hot water each day.
I did mention this on the first day to the covering management made a note of it. I really don’t think that this room should be offered to clients.

My daughter and I had an AMAZING stay at the Hotel Salem! We knew way ahead of time that there's no parking provided, but they provided us with the info to get garage parking literally around the corner! The hotel is SO funky and cool! Right on the pedestrian mall!! There was SO much to do and see. We really enjoyed ourselves. Our room (King w/ trundle) was spacious and comfortable. We will DEFINITELY be back!💕

The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in an amazing location in Salem. Walking distance to everything. The cost is quite pricey because of location which was fine, but I expected the hotel to be nicer. Elevators smell with dirty carpet that needs vacuuming. No privacy in the bathrooms because the rolling doors leave big gaps and won’t stay closed. The blow dryer is a joke. Who knew they made them so small? Carpet and tvs need updating. Great rooftop bar/restaurant.

Very cool hotel in the heart of everything. Great bar on the roof. Very helpful and friendly staff. Be aware there is no parking on site, but there is plenty near by.

First and foremost the staff was amazing. The room was spotless. The water was hot!! Yay! Our granddaughter and her friend loved the funkyness of the loft (we rented a suite). We would definitely go back!
As a side note: my husband's brother and his family visited us there. He has a 27 year old autistic daughter. The waitstaff was wonderful and treated her with upmost respect!!

We stayed in a suite with a loft area and really found the space ideal for our family of four. The kids loved having their own space up the stairs! The staff was friendly and professional.

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Salem. Some rooms are nice and large. Others are very small. Fortunately, we had a large room, whereas our travel companions were in a very very cozy room. I'm not crazy about how the layouts of the bathrooms are. The shower and vanity are in one room, then you walk across the entry to get to the commode area. A somewhat cumbersome arrangement. The hotel does have a lot of character and a very nice rooftop bar. There is also a downstair bar with a grill, which is very nice as well. The staff is very nice and friendly. I would stay there again, but would want to make sure I am getting one of the large rooms.

Great spot for ease of access to just about anywhere in Salem, very friendly staff and phenomenal roof top views from The Roof Bar.

My only issue was the parking. For someone with mobility issues this was a bit of a problem. The manager offered to move us to a sister hotel a mile away in hindsight I think we should have done this . But I liked the idea of being right there among the shops. The room was nice, comfortable king bed with a queen sleeper sofa in the loft. Parking in the closest garage ( attached to the mall) was $26 per day. The staff was wonderful!

I really like the location of this property and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. We had a gew drinks on the roof top and they were good. Honestly they were the best drinks we had in Salem. The hotel itself felt clean and i felt safe staying here. I appreciated the water fill stations available on every floor, that made it cheaper for us so we didn't have to keep buying water bottles.
Some drawbacks come with obviously not being able to have valet as an option or the option to drive up to the hotel. However we manged just fine by parking in the garage in the mall. The second draw back comes with the room, although it was very spacious i didn't like the door to the restroom because you could still see inside when the door was shut so it made going to the bathroom awkward. Also the curtains do not block out all of the sun which was kind of a bummer when we were trying to sleep in late.

Great spot, cool room for a family of 4, kids got to stay in the loft which was great until someone was going to pound town on the floor above, and we had to explain to our kids what a 1 minute man was.

Hostess at checkin is marvelous. Very nice boutique hotel in walking distance to everything Salem has to offer even outside the city center. Only negative is needing to crawl over the outside person in the bed to get up. A small chair wood be nice as well. Overall excellent!

We had the best stay at The Hotel Salem. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed. The facility was fantastic. Centrally located to everything so we could easily walk everywhere. We did not have a car, but the hotel provided plenty of options for parking and ride share. Food and drinks were great at both The Counter and The Roof. We will definitely stay here for future Salem visits.
