I come to willows once every three months.
Food is always amazing. Staff are all so friendly.
Only issue is that ypu have to find the right coffee machine for your tastes.

nice location and the whole resort compound was good.
The staff was very friendly and the rooms relatively clean. Unfortunately they were not equipped with air conditioner

This is a really, really average Motel type experience. It’s a decent room, cheap TV and a tea / coffee, little safe kind of space but nowhere near worth the money.
Some important points for anyone who might get fooled by their “Eco-hotel” kind of marketing:
The air-con in the corridors is blasting out cold air (on a cold Sept evening) and the rooms are subsequently very cold - so guests need to put the heating on which then competes with the corridor air-con as the rooms heat up. Madness! And burning up money - which is reflected in the cost - as well as CO2 expended.
All the “do-the-right-thing” signage which swamps their marketing is a classic way of saying what they actually DON’T understand nor subscribe to, really.
Other Points to note
If there’s a big Hooray Henry Party (a huge finance company block-booked the place) happening then do not expect an evening meal. The (lovely, well-meaning) young staff suggested Burger King “just over the road” as the alternative. Think on that business guests.
The corridors are dark, with a soulless grey decor and the signage for the whole complex is either confusing or non-existant. The staff I spoke to said it’s a perennial complaint of guests. See attached picture which lists room numbers back to front.
I was told that the (actually, amazing) gym “can only take ten guests” which I’m sure was not true as there were over forty pieces of equipment and loads of space. But guess what? The signage to there is very poor.

Rooms feel like student dorms, no soul just basic as hell. The bar is wildly expensive for what it is £6 for a bottle of peroni is crazy. I won’t be staying again. You claim a spa also in the listing but when arrived it’s in another hotel.

This is a gem of a hotel, when we arrived we were definitely pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff are really friendly and helpful, the room was a little on the small side but was really nice. Would definitely look to stay here again when we're down that way

The hotel is situated next to a nature reserve , with a spa, and wellness centre. A very good location. However I found the room to have a very strong smell of damp, there was a lot of dust on top of the curtains, and lamp shades. When closing the curtains the dust fell down and the curtains were stuck along the curtain pole, I’m not sure if the room is used often enough to be thoroughly cleaned each time as it felt very damp as though it was cleaned a while ago and left. Apart from this it is a lovely a room, with good amenties. There is a bar and restaurant within the hotel. There is a supermarket, petrol station and other stores within a very short drive away.

Nice grounds, however been asking for receipt for stay for several days and they still have not sent it, probably an Expedia issue rather than the hotel….

Comfortable. Only overnight stay. Food could be better.

My recent visit was marred by a significant oversight that significantly impacted guest experience. While the accommodations themselves were satisfactory, the failure of the hotel staff to mention a planned road closure leading to the hotel created unnecessary inconvenience for myself and fellow guests. This lack of communication led to wasted time and petrol as we struggled to find alternate routes.
Despite this issue, the hotel's ambiance and cleanliness were commendable. However, I would suggest a minor improvement in room amenities by providing tissues for guests' convenience.
In conclusion, while the stay at the willows training centre had its merits, the failure to communicate the road closure overshadowed the overall experience. I hope the management takes this feedback into account for future guest interactions.

Second stay here and was just as great as the first time! Shame about the breakfast £15 for buffet that had been sat under a heat lamp and gone stale and tough no fresh turnover of food.

Greeting at reception was nothing better than ok, disinterested and failed to really provide any information. Room was cold with only a tiny heater and the quilt was not sufficient to provide much warmth. I was given a disabled room, which in itself is not a problem but the bed slid around on casters when sat on so I don’t think it would have been very suitable had I been disabled. The bathroom was tatty, with broken panels on the wall.
I’d arrived quite late and the buffet looked very unappetising so I went to the bar where I waited 15 minute before someone arrived to serve me. Food was very average although not expensive. Had I paid £70 for the room I would have been disappointed but at £116 I felt ripped off.

Not the first time I’ve stayed. I was left to check in via machine (the Receptionist wasn’t busy),which took a while but with help I acquired the room card and set off. The room was great with a heated towel rail and in good condition. The tea facilities were also great (milk in sachets, Yorkshire tea) and I had a very comfortable bed in which I slept better than at home because it was quiet as always.
However, before turning in I went to the bar for a nightcap. The staff were friendly but the room was cold and looked grubby with tired and uncomfortable seating.
Nevertheless I am not put off and will continue to use this hotel which is great value and very convenient.

A different but enjoyable experience. The location is on a large complex at the end of a long and winding road. The hotel is modern with free coffee machines and also vending machines fir a midnight snack. Compact rooms supply all you need. Only down side is no AC for hot nights. My Autumn stay was fine. It's not budget but vfm. Breakfast breakfast was good and included fresh fruit sand pastries along with the usual hot selection. Overall an enjoyable stay.

It was a little strange going to a training centre for a hotel stay, but I found it to be better than some of the well known common hotels. The staff were all friendly, it was spacious and clean and the food was good

The Willows is in a very quiet area. Parking was good. Amenities in the area were not great but food on site was good. Near A1 but no traffic noise. Plenty of green space. Would stay again

Amazing - always have a great stay here

It was a very clean and quiet location, with easy access to the other areas of the complex. Staff were polite and very friendly.
However it was an extremally hot evening and the ice machine had broken down.
i requested that maybe someone could go to the other area to get some ice and was told that I could try as ther was no one on hand to go get any. So we did not buy any drink from the bar.
