Wonderful cabin for a trip with friends. Amazing views and accommodations.

The property was a great location for a church retreat. It was very conducive for study of God’s word and provided plenty of space for breakout groups to meet. The men enjoyed the amenities provided for friendly competition however the visits by the bears was somewhat startling.

Beautiful rustic property with so many amenities! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 9 day stay in this spacious home. From the cinema and game room to the hot tub and the kitchen everything was enjoyable. The host was extremely responsive to the few minor things we needed. The porch rocking chairs and hammocks were so relaxing and offered breathtaking views! I would highly recommend this property to everyone!

We loved this vacation home. There was 19 of us there. Enjoyed sitting on the decks visiting and overlooking the mountains. The Hammocks were our favorites. Kids enjoyed the game rooms. We were impressed with all the appliances and kitchen items. With a big family we always use the kitchen alot and had brought some items from home not nowing what all was there, and we ended up leaving those items in our vehcile as the kitchen had crockpots pans and more than what we needed. We also saw a few bears there!!

The prior reviews of this property are accurate and helpful. The mountaintop location is beautiful with a stunning 360 degree view from the deck. The access and proximity to the NP is a plus. In fact, there is a sign marking the NP boundary off the driveway. The kids loved the game room and theater downstairs. The fire pit was fun at night. There is a sign pointing to the trail in the NP but the trail isn’t maintained and hard to follow. There are two spots in the steep driveway where you can bury a tire due to potholes. Count on visits from the bears - both a plus and a minus. There are several bear proof provisions for the trash which worked well for us.
The house has maintenance issues. The en-suite shower in the main floor primary has one side that works well enough to shower. On the other side the faucet just spins. Same with the tub. The toilet rocks. The electrical circuits in the kitchen can be easily overloaded and trip the breaker. It turns off the refrigerator. The ice maker is useless. The lower floor with the most bedrooms has one bathroom to share. There is outside dining but the bear activity make it sketchy to use. Inside dining isn’t enough for a large group to have seats at the tables for everyone. Don’t come needing reliable internet.
Maintainance came when we needed them.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. If you are flexible enough to adapt and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and nature this is for you.

This is one of the most beautiful properties I’ve had the pleasure of staying. Right next to the national park. The drive up is definitely not for the faint hearted, but the property is definitely worth it. Very clean, well stocked, and spacious. The only difficulty was getting all 22 guests through 5 showers in a timely manner. Overall I would recommend this property to anyone looking to explore the smoky mountains.

Cabin was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. Bed were comfortable and tons of space for big families. Location was very good and not too far from nearest attractions.

Some friends and I visited for our spring break, hoping for a lowkey week away from the loud beaches. Our expectations were blown out of the water. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time and the property was perfect in every way. 10/10 experience

We enjoyed our stay, and will be back. We were a group of 20. Ranging from one year-old to adults. Our favorite feature was the property, bordering the national park and having a hiking trail right out of the back yard.

We had a total of 6 adults and 12 children under 9. There was plenty of room and the house is very accommodating of small children. Baby gates, pack n plays, and high chairs were all available. The owner was very accommodating and responsive.

Stayed here for 4 nights with a group of 22.
Pros, the views from the property were beautiful. The house has plenty of space for big groups. The kitchen is fully stock so don’t worry too much about bringing kitchen items. Access to hiking trails right by the property, Instacart delivery is available and a dollar general about 8 minutes away.
Cons, makes sure to arrive during daytime very curvy road for about 4 mins before getting to property. As the temperature drops at night the property gets pretty chilly, bring extra blankets, thermostat never went higher than 68 degrees. Downstairs needs some updating, the theater looks much better on pictures and some mattresses down there need to be replaced. Lastly, the description states 8 rooms how ever the rooms downstairs are literally all one huge room divided with sliding doors, not a big deal but not as much privacy as the rooms upstairs.
Overall, the memories made on this trip were beautiful.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay with 22 family member (9 were children). Overall it was a great time. There were a few things as far as layout that were not as accommodating as we anticipated. Two of the bedrooms are attached to the bunk room and the mattresses in those were in really rough shape. In the end one couple had to sleep on a bunk and us out multiple kids in one bunk bed mattress. The other mattresses were also in need of replacement. The kitchen did have everything we needed, just was smaller than anticipated for our size group. The hot in had a bad sensor and would not get over 99 degrees. Overall a nice stay though!

This was a great house with amazing views, we were very comfortable with 7 adults and 4 kids .. loved the game room .. Ryan was just a text away! We had a nice time!

Had a few maintenance issues light bulbs that needed change because they would flash and dishwasher didn’t work. So we washed dishes by hand. But nothing that wouldn’t keep us from renting property again.

My family really enjoyed the house, location, parking ease, and views.

This house is very beautiful and clean the view is awesome. A black bear was seen almost everyday. Kitchen was stocked with everything that you would need. I would rent this home again.

This house was amazing! We had plenty of room for our family of 22 to celebrate Thanksgiving. The location is perfect, as we hiked several trails that connected to the property. The kids played a lot in the basement area, which made visiting among the adults easier. The kitchen had many appliances and coffee makers…and this family loves their coffee!
The only advice I would give to future renters: bears do visit this house. The house is right next to the Smoky Mts NP, the bears’ home. So do not forget to lock all doors (house & cars).
Some of us forgot to lock car doors.
The kids loved the ‘close encounter’ with a bear.

Overall a wonderful place to spend with family!

This house was great. It has amazing views from all angles. Having a nice coffee on the top deck overlooking the smoky mountains was something I won't forget.

The best thing about this cabin is the view. The backside faces the park and it's just mountains and trees, no cabins or roads in the view. It is breath-taking and in my opinion, what you are paying for. With a great view, comes an awful drive. There is about a mile from the main road to the cabin and it was traumatizing to us the first time up. If you can, go during the daylight for the first time. There are several sharp curves that have mirrors on the side to see if traffic is coming and there are 3-4 very steep hills, you have to floor it. We arrived at night, big mistake, we missed a couple of turns and had to try to turn around, it was awful. Once we were able to drive during the daylight, it made it a much better experience. There is no house number by the driveway, just a sign that says Taj Ma Y'all but you can't see that in the dark. The cabin itself is nice. We went with over 20 people and had plenty of room to sleep and spread out. The kids enjoyed all of the games in the basement and the hot tub. The firepit area was very cool too. I would suggest bringing extra towels and wash clothes if you don't want to do laundry. I would also suggest bringing extra blankets, our bed had a thin sheet and it was pretty cool at night.

My wife and I, along with a few of our friends stayed here for 4 days. First impression was WOW. Before going in, the view will amaze you. Inside is as beautiful, it has the honey feeling. The master bed were huge, the bed are cloud like feeling. I lay down and fall asleep sleep right away :)
We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. I couldn't have picked a better place than this for all of us! We thank you again for this! Everything is perfect.
Ps: we didn't get to check it out, but the trail behind looks promising:)
Thank you Ryan!

Cleanliness goes a long way with me as I am a germaphobe & I felt the entire home was very well kept. The bathrooms were clean, supplied with new products and marked with sanitation strips. Ryan was our point of contact and he replied promptly with any questions I had. I could not rave about our stay enough!! This cabin is equipped with just about everything from a fully functional kitchen to a pack and play for the littles. Would highly recommend and stay there again.
My 4 star for online accuracy comes from the basement bedrooms. There are two smaller rooms with queen size beds that can only be accessed through the bunk room. This made for some last minute scrambling as we went with multiple families and wanted everyone to be comfortable. Other than that the rooms were adorable but the layout was a smidge different than what we anticipated.
10.0
The space in the house was great and was enjoyed by all ages. Nice to have activities for the little ones and room to spread out. We had a wonderful time staying at the house.
8.0
We enjoyed our stay at the house. The house is well stocked with the basic kitchen necessities, which included an outdoor gas grill. The house is nestled in the hills of the smokie mountains and the drive up to the house offers the most beautiful panoramic views of the mountains.
Overall, the house offers plenty of room for a large crowd. We were a family of 22 and had plenty of space. The kids enjoyed the lower lever game/media room and the hot tub to its fullest. The outside fire pit was a big hit with everyone, we made smores every night. It's about 20-minute drive to Parkway.
There were a few downsides which caused some challenges in sleeping arrangements. A couple of the bedrooms were not set up as listed and with us being a large group it caused some sleeping challenges. In addition, the lower-level bedroom side, although comfortable would benefit from a dehumidifier and the pool is just over a mile away and closes at 5:00pm.
The host was very prompt in addressing some concerns we had during out stay. Overall, we had a fantastic family reunion, and I would recommend staying at the Taj Ma Y All.

Great place to stay with a large group. Have a well planned grocery list as the store is not very close by.
No complaints with the accommodations. We did get a visit from a bear which was exciting. Some issues with bees out on the decks.
Overall a great place to stay

This property is absolutely beautiful. I don't think the photos do it justice. Everyone in our group of 24 adults agreed that it was an amazing place to stay. The views from both sides of the wrap around porch were equally stunning with plenty of outdoor furniture to linger and enjoy nature. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking meals for a group. Beds were comfortable and the entire cabin was clean. The host was very responsive and great to work with. Would come back next week if we could.

Although the location is perfect for our group, and the house is beautifully built, it needs some TLC. First, the cleaning crew of 3 showed up to begin cleaning this massive house around 3:30 with check in at 4pm. We did not get access to the house until 7pm. No refund was offered. Needless, house was not properly cleaned, with beds not properly made (missing sheets) and found dirty clothes under one of the beds. They also only left 10 towels for a party of 22. Had maintenance there twice for issues that were critical to our stay, but once i got the correct contact (contact info on the fridge and in binders is not correct), were great and responsive. There is a long list of general maintenance issues that need to be repaired (broken drawers in kitchen, door handle to theater room broken, some of the older furniture in need of repair, etc). Also, the house is in need of a thourough deep clean along with an exterminator visit. Almost every one of us woke up with spider bites from the beds, hornet nests in the light fixtures and in the railings of the deck. The kids did have a great time with all of the activities in the house as well as the attractions that Gatlinburg has to offer. The house just needs some TLC and deep cleaning. Also, there are several bears that make their rounds around the house, so do not leave any coolers out for even a few minutes or leave your car doors or windows open!

Had a very good week with family enjoying one another, the cabin and the beauty of the surroundings.
P.S. Watch out for bears.

The house and views are beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck taking in the peacefulness of the mountains

This property is beautiful and worked well for our 4 families with everyone getting a room with multiple beds and their own bathroom and our teens took over the downstairs space. The road there is a bit intense with its elevation and switchbacks I recommend getting there in the daylight the first time. There are a few things that need repairs and it could use a deep cleaning there is a lot of dust and a bit of a musty smell in the downstairs. We wanted something off the beaten path so we didn’t mind having to drive about 20 minutes to any activities. The view and solitude is worth the driving in our opinion.

Our family all stayed at this property for Spring Break. It was very easy to find and as you pull up, the views of Wears Valley are breathtaking. We have always loved staying in the Wears Valley area and this place offers you a great location and wonderful view. This particular place offered us some of the proximity we wanted. We like to in Wears Valley- check. We want to be close to Metcalf Bottoms to hike and picnic- check. We do not like staying in the communities with the neighbors on top of us- check. Its about a 25 minute drive or so to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge.
Our kids really enjoyed playing the different games that are at the place. Great porch to sit, relax, and read. We all enjoyed the outdoor fire pit at night and really enjoyed the fireplace in the living room while drinking coffee during the cool mornings.
If you prefer to do a lot of cooking while you are in the mountains, I felt like the kitchen was stocked pretty good to be able to do that. We cooked dinner a couple of nights and we really had no issues.
With every place we have ever stayed in the smokies, you can always find a few things wrong or to complain about. If you are looking for the perfect place without any issues, you will probably not find that anywhere. However, we all have expectations for some basic amenities to work and if they don't, everyone expects quick response time to try to resolve the issues if possible. We did have 1 major issue when we first got there. The shower on the main floor had a fixture issue which caused it to not work properly. (Basically no hot water) Also, that bathroom had double sinks and that had calcium build up in the faucets which made the water shoot out at high speed. The owner had the maintenance company come out by that afternoon and they were able to get both of those problems resolved. The owner responded quickly and let me know he would have maintenance come out to fix it, and he also sent a couple gifts through the maintenance company for us that was very much appreciated.
The bathrooms needed to be cleaned better by the cleaning crew. There was some build up in a couple areas that were obviously older than just a week, so that cleaning crew really needed to do a better job and pay better attention to the bathroom areas. The owner is going to contact the crew and make sure they do a better job.
I would gladly stay here again. Its a great place and an awesome view.

Overall our stay was very enjoyable at this cabin. The mountain road is very steep with only one way in or out. The listing was very accurate other than most of the exterior lights not working. The hot tub lid was extremely heavy due to water being in the lid making it impossible to get on and off. Overall the house was good. The view / and peacefulness is what you are paying for, this house has the most amazing sunsets over the national park.

Cabin was beautiful, hot tub would not heat, but great stay!
