Everything you expect from a work trip

Mick was a fantastic host. Good and hearty food in the restaurant.
The only down side was the pillows - flat, rock hard and all 4 pillows were dreadful.
Room was bright, facing the beautiful beach and the touches of “the sea” throughout the hallways and rooms was very pleasing to the eye.

Very pleasant and professional staff.
Room was small but perfectably serviceable .

Shoe box room with zero charm. Other rooms have spectacular beach views, not ours.

The accommodation was simple and clean with a lovely view across the beach- it is in the centre of the town so reasonably busy outside with traffic and people but not so as to keep you awake at night. The price fairly reflected the facilities on offer. Food in the restaurant was good and efficiently served by the staff

Only issue I had was couldn’t sleep for the seagulls even with the windows closed. Can’t help nature though

If the lady in charge who coohed breakfast wasnt so rude perhaps my stay would have been a better experience..i had paid for the second night stay but chose not to stay as didnt feel safe

Good location. We had been charged at least double the average amount for some reason. So we were expecting to stay at a high quality establishment. It definitely wasn’t. It was quite run down and in need of repairs. The usual charges are a more acceptable and I think if we hadn’t been charged the inflated price and paid around the usual average we would have felt it was a fair price for the location.

Our room had a wonderful bath tub. Great view of the water. Very nice people who served us. Wonderful upgrades to an older building. We would rent again.

Both breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Fantastic staff and location. Sea views that money can’t buy. Would absolutely stay here again.

Recent work trip. Staff are all excellent, and very friendly, and food was great.
Room had an almost constant clicking noise in the wall - sounded like pipes, due to heating.
Didn't mention it as I know the place was fully booked, and also had earplugs, so for a single night, wasn't worth a fuss. Would have requested a move if staying longer.

Room was dated and extremwly small, it was very disappointing compared to precious visits to the same properly by ourselves and also friends that had stayed previously.
Previous experience led to a subsequent second booking which was not worth the money paid.

Lovely hotel, room and staff.

The rooms in this hotel are unbelievably small, we booked a double and there was barely enough space to walk around the bed. The bathroom consisted of a toilet and a small shower with a folding door, these were placed in a closet sized room next to a small children’s wardrobe. The sink was at the end of the bed, so basically you could wash and brush your teeth without leaving the bed. We didn’t eat in the hotel as the menu seemed to predominantly consist of burgers. Overall an experience we do not ever want to repeat.

Overnight trip in single room. Was clean and comfortable, small but adequate, views were amazing but windows were covered in seagull crap, there are a lot around but feel with the views in offer this is something that should be kept in top of.

Pleasant stay, room ok, wardrobe pretty dated. Concerned over level of cleaning, tv remote was missing and eventually found partly under bed which would suggest bed hadn’t been moved for cleaning. Breakfast ok but feel it is overpriced.

Our unexpected late arrival was masterfully handled by the hotel staff. . There were awesome views of Moray Firth. Cute well run small hotel. Very walkable area along the street next to the sea wall.

It was lovely! The rooms were very small though!

We stayed over night and arrived late since trains got delayed. The hotel's staff were kind to leave us self check in instructions. The room was cold, we had to keep two layers of Thermo wear on at night to stay warm. The radiator was on but was not sufficient to warm the room until the next morning. Double bed was not comfortable and left me back ache in the morning

Arrived and the room was cold as the heating had been switched off. Lovely location right on the sea front.
Bathroom was fine and shower was really hot I had problems trying to make it cooler

Very friendly hotel.
Staff were very responsive to requests and the meals were ideal for the cold and eat weather we encountered.
Karla the Manager went out of her way to make us welcome and made the stay more delightful. Many thanks Karla.

Lovely stay, very clean and the staff are very friendly, the side door system a bit of a hastle incase you lock others out, room 4 immaculate very small but has everything you need, and is comfortable, plenty on street parking, breakfast was excellent we also had dinner it was fabulous the portions are huge so you might not need a starter, was excited to see 200 gins stocked but disappointed that not more of this is made inside the bar, the menu is tiny for gins, this could be a real big feature as they have some cracking ones definitely a missed opportunity, would recommend a stay here it’s lovely

Does what it says on the can, can't fault this place, great staff and location

Beautiful location- shame about the weather
Staff are very friendly and helpful. The guest door is handy for a late night stroll along the beach and village. The room had a nice big fan that came into use in the hot weather on arrival and plenty of storage. Recycled paper Bath mats are pretty cool and dry in a few hours so was able to get a few uses out of them. Only downsides was a suspicious orange stain on the duvet cover but was at our feet end and didn’t bother us and loud showers/ toilets so you can hear the other rooms if you listen carefully. The food is very nice and pricing is reasonable. Overall great hotel and restaurant and will definitely stay again
