location
The tapwater broke down when we first opened it.
When I booked the apartment I got a message from the host saying that she could arrange someone to help us with the luggage since the flat is in the 3rd floor but before our arrival I messaged her and she apologized that she can’t get us help . you wouldn’t imagine the pain we went through to pick up the luggage with two toddlers :(

Excellent large comfortable apartment. Easy walking to all central Verona. Piazza Bra - under 5 minutes stroll!
Great supermarket a few minutes walk away.
Well equipped kitchen. Comfy bed. Good shower and bathroom and a washing machine.
Many really nice restaurants on the doorstep. For the Vegans amongst us the Bodega across the road serves vegan and gluten free breakfast and lunch options - limited choice but good.
Francesco was really helpful and friendly - all questions answered really quickly. Made the stay even more enjoyable.
As mentioned really clearly in the details, the apartment is on the third floor and there is no lift - we are definitely fitter after a few days up and down the stairs! But if stairs are a challenge perhaps message Francesco before you book.
It was sooo good we stayed an extra day and hope to be back again someday. Thanks Francesco! Fab place!

The location was perfect & the automated entrance is a very clever idea. What did stand out was that the apartment was exceptionally clean...

Perfect location, right next to main attractions with cafes and shops just down the apt. The bathroom had a good size and was clean. The kitchen had all the main appliances (pans, cutlery, a Bialetti mocha and electric coffee maker, etc) , as well as salt, sugar and coffee. The heating wasn't on as it was not too cold yet, but we did use the A/C to heat up the room at night and the equipment was brand new and very quiet. Even thought the apt was in a busy street, the room faces the back of the building and there was no noise at night.
Only two things could be improved and would make a huge difference: the mattress and lighting in the room. The mattress is very uncomfortable, you can feel all the springs.. and the room is too dark during the day, difficult to pack and find things in the bags.

The location was perfect for a short city-trip. Everything in walking distance! The view was super nice and there was good coffee and sandwiches downstairs, as well as great icecream just 2 min away. Very interesting entry system without bothering the owners, but I wonder how this would work if there’s no internet connection in the house. The windows were blocking the noises really well and the shades kept the apartment dark in the morning. The 3rd floor is fine, not too high even without a lift! It was clean and warm. We could take the dog with us which is awesome!
I am sorry to say this, but the sofabed in the livingroom is a disaster. You have the feeling that it will close itself anytime
And is making so much noise! I wonder how the neightbors haven’t complained yet. I really think the owners should buy another one. Only children would be able to sleep on it without waking up constantly. The bed in the bedroom was way too hard for our taste and with a single bedsheet. And for the very sensitive: you can hear the neighbors very well (doors, toilet..). We came with our dog but unfortunately there were almost no green places around for her.

This apartment was beautiful and cozy, spotlessly clean and stocked by everything you could need! Directly in the heart of Verona in an authentic old building with nice views, only few minute from all the beautiful places in the city centre. The wifi was quick and worked perfectly - I work online while travel and it did not disappoint me! There is also a lovely coffee place in front of the building (definitely recommended for your morning coffee) and huge supermarket just behind corner. Definitely a great base if you plan to discover Verona and aroundings!
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with check-in and hopefully it was a one-time bad luck as no one left negative feedback of this kind. I booked the place last-minute day before my arrival and did the online check-in in the early morning of the day of my arrival. In previous day, the host agreed with my time of arrival time via booking e-mail confirmation, therefore I knew they are counting with me. After online check-in however I haven't received the code to access the place, neither any kind of information. Upon my arrival to Verona I tried to contact the host in few different ways but got no answer for a longer time which made me worry about the situation. When finally my call was successful, it felt weird and I have learnt that the host did not check my online check-in yet (they need to approve it so that you can get access), he promised to check it and left call without saying good-bye and leaving me there with no resolution - I had to wait for 30 mins for the answer. The host was definitely not unfriendly, however it was very obvious he was busy with something else and saw no issue with my situation. (While I was sitting exhausted after long journey with heavy luggages in a coffee for 2 hours just waiting for the resolution of the situation.)
Later on when I asked what caused this situation, the response was - I did my online check-in in the morning (late - so actually my fault), there was cleaning lady and they had unstable wifi so they did not see my check-in. To sum it up - excuses instead of sincere apology for neglected work = brutta figura. Once, any host accepts last-minute bookings and confirms arrival time, it means they have means to offer good service even despite last-minute booking. I believe if you book in advance there is no issue, however this situation was uncomfortable and disappointing.
On funny note: online check-in contains Czechoslovakia in the list of countries.

Location, amenities, equipment, the apartment itself and its decoration, modern check-in procedure.
Some say the stairs are the problem - they are not (unless you are only used to elevators). They are wide enough to fit a person with a suitcase and a backpack and a dog.
If I should fault this place it would be due to a loud squeaky expandable sofa-bed that can wake up everyone and a ventig opening in the kitchen that allows you to hear some minor noises from the street (which can be clogged with some paper, though).
3.5
The location was close to the arena and there was a plenty of space for two people.
The A/C did a poor job at cooling the apartment, and the shower was extremely small and difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. Also, not a factor for us, but if you have a difficult time climbing stairs, this is not the place to stay. Finally, check-in is all online and remotely accomplished. Lived in Italy for nine years and this is the first time I have accomplished this process. I enjoy the personal interaction and care versus online interactions.
