Jefferson Street & the Historic Western Suburb is a lively & vibrant neighborhood in the west section of downtown Lexington. You'll notice some revitalization happening nearby, from restored residences to new businesses in formerly-abandoned buildings. We are located on a one-way alley with some run down homes in need of repair, along with other homes that have been renovated. Our street is home to a diverse mix of renters & homeowners. Only a couple blocks from our home, you can visit West 6th Brewery, Smithtown Seafood, County Club, Jefferson Street Coffee shop, The Green Lantern, Blue Stallion Brewery, The Blue Heron Steakhouse, Wine & Market, Distilled, Stella's Deli & Sorella Gelateria. A 5-minute walk will take you to Central Bank Convention Center & Rupp Arena. Keeneland, the KY Horse Park & the airport are 10-15 minutes away. If you bring your bikes, you can enjoy the Legacy Trail - a 12-mile shared use greenway that connects downtown with area neighborhoods, parks & historic sites. Hop on near our house on West 4th or at West 6th Brewery & ride to the Kentucky Horse Park, savoring the character that makes Lexington truly unique! Also, be sure to be on the lookout for the many murals & public art throughout our neighborhood & downtown!
Guests will have access to the entire home, inside & out. An open kitchen/living space, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms & a private back patio.
We have taken great care to provide everything you might want in a vacation getaway. The primary bedroom features a king bed, 55" smart TV, walk-in closet w/ luggage rack, hangers, a dresser, a small fan, hand-held steamer, iron & ironing board + & a private en suite with a tiled shower where we provide shampoo, conditioner & body wash that’s good for your hair & the planet. The additional 2 bedrooms feature queen beds, spacious closets with hangers, a luggage rack, a dresser and a shared bathroom with a tub/shower combo, tile surround and a large vanity with drawers for your personal belongings. We provide shampoo, conditioner & body wash in this bathroom too. We think you'll love the plush memory foam mattresses (green certified), down-alternative comforters & the well-appointed kitchen with dining service for 12, local coffee, a variety of tea, sugar & sugar-free packets, an electric tea kettle, 2 coffee makers & a french press. Street parking (free) is available in front of the home or on the adjacent intersecting street.
The surrounding neighborhood is very walkable. Lexington offers bus service, but it's not very efficient for getting around in a timely manner. Uber & Lyft are available. Bird/Spin scooters can be found in & near downtown. Bike racks are plentiful.

This property in Lexington was great for hitting Woodford Reserve one day and Buffalo Trace the next. The house is close to a lot of different restaurants and lots to do.

My family and I stayed at this very nice place so we could attend my daughter’s DIII national golf championship. The location was great for us. Close to a lot. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable, clean and new

The owner did an excellent job in running this cute house into a short term rental. They do a better job than most of us with what they have in space and neighborhood.

The property was lovely, we had what we needed for the long weekend we booked.

The street itself might deter some guests from choosing this property, but, the house was a gem and the greater neighborhood was fascinating to walk around and explore. Neighbors were respectful and quiet, the parking spot in front of the house was available throughout our stay, and the house was adequately supplied and thoughtfully decorated. We plan to rent this property again the next time we are in Lexington!

When we first arrived we were taken aback by the neighborhood (we all live in a rural area ). The area looks scary to us but we adjusted and we did not encounter any problems. As far as the house itself it was wonderful! I have never rented anything that was as well stocked as your house. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Very comfortable and clean..well equipped kitchen (coffee maker is missing the water hose so it didn’t work). Close to restaurants, coffee shops etc. we had a great time. Our family did 5 Bourbon tours so it was a great starting and stopping point for us.

We enjoyed the house very much! It was so cute! Very clean and the essential oil pillow spray was a nice little plus. We came for one night for a concert and I think we picked the perfect place!

This is a nice and modern recently renovated home, unfortunately the owner decided to flip this house in an extremely sketchy neighborhood. As we drove up, there was a group of clearly intoxicated homeless people sitting on the curb. Many vehicles on the road look to not have moved in years. Garbage everywhere. Etc. With quite some hesitation, my family including 2 small children did “brave it out” with the door locked, though we were quite nervous of our vehicle all night. In the morning, we awoke to a fire truck and ambulance down the street one can assume due to drug use which was obviously all around this place.
The owner is clearly understanding of this neighborhood’s issues, my family found it somewhat irresponsible to flip a short term rental in this neighborhood. If you are traveling without children and aren’t turned off by seeing transients out your window, then once you get inside the house it is a decent place to stay. I should mention that the neighbors have chickens including roosters which started making noise at dawn, though noise machines were set up in the 2 back bedrooms to drown out the noise.
We did walk around to several parks, and were approached by people asking for money at each one. There are some decent food and drink options close by, and a short walk to the downtown area. All in all, the owner has done a good job on the home, it’s a shame it is not in a different neighborhood. We would not stay again with a young family.

Immaculately clean and very well accommodating to our Venue. The only negative I have is that the master bedroom could use some black out shades like the ones in the living room.

Very nice property and the owner was very good communicator when needed. I would stay again if in the area.
