Be one of the first to enjoy the "NEW" Honu Iki Casita. (July 2024)
It is a wonderful two-bedroom home located in the jungle hills of Uvita. Located only five minutes from the restaurants and shops of Uvita, 15 minutes to the beaches and the world famous Whales Tail/Ballena National Park, but nestled in the jungle. Beaches throughout the area!
The home's open floor plan, and floor to ceiling windows, allows plenty of natural light to illuminate the living room, kitchen and TV area.
Osa Property Management’s Concierge and Vacation Planner team will contact you after you have made your reservation. We will assist with making any necessary transportation arrangements from Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose (SJO), or one of the local regional airports in Quepos or Palmar Sur, to property in Uvita.
We will also arrange all excursions/activities/tours with reputable companies in the area, provide a link for grocery delivery, and make reservations at any restaurant. Our goal is to make your trip to Costa Rica enjoyable and as relaxing as you want it to be.
Uvita is one of the Central Pacific's best kept secrets. The beaches are beautiful, the hills are lush, wildlife is abundant and its the perfect place to surf, horseback ride or just relax. Uvita has great restaurants (coffee shops, microbrewery, local, fine dining), grocery stores, banks and pharmacies. If you are looking for a beautiful beach destination that is far less developed than Manuel Antonio, Uvita is a fantastic alternative. The highlight is Marino Ballena National Park, featuring the famous sandy "Whale Tail" where migrating humpback whales can be seen just offshore. You can whale watch, dolphin watch or snorkel.
Uvita also makes a great base for exploring Dominical (12 miles North) which is a fun, funky hippie and counterculturist enclave with great shops, dining, live music, candlelight yoga, spas, bars and beach. The tiny town of Ojochal is 9 miles to the South and is known as one of the best foodie town in Costa Rica. Ojochal also offers easy access to Playa Ventanas, a small and beautiful beach famous for its sea caves.
For those who enjoy golfing, the southern pacific’s only golf course, Osa Golf Course, is an easy 25 minute drive south.
The property is accessible anytime after 3 pm on the day of check-in. Guests will receive their custom PIN access code to the door approximately 48 hours prior to arrival.
The home is completely private. There is shared gated access to the property with one other home.
The property has two bedrooms:
1) The Owner's Suite has vaulted ceilings, queen-sized bed, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, armoire, en-suite bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, floor-to-ceiling windows and access to the covered outdoor patio.
2) The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, armoire, ceiling fan and air conditioning.
Free use of clothes washer and clothes dryer.
A 4x4 vehicle is required to arrive to the home.
Home is accessible by any SUV/AWD/4x4. Smaller automobiles and 2WD will not make it to the home. For insurance reasons, Osa Property Management cannot transport guests in company vehicles.
Please contact Osa Property Management if you would like to secure private transportation during your time at this wonderful property, and/or transportation to/from San Jose International Airport (or any other airport).
This newly improved Uvita vacation villa now has a private swimming pool (added in July 2024).
Guests love the open floorplan and the jungle views from the floor to ceiling windows, giving the feeling that you are living in the jungle, all while in a comfortable, air conditioned home.
There are two patios - one on the floor where the living space is and one down a level where the private swimming pool is located.
The Owner's Suite has access to the patio upstairs and an en-suite bathroom (plus A/C).

Gorgeous villa nestled in the jungle with close proximity to Uvita. Property clean, well equipped and good communication with management company. Need 4x4 or high clearance vehicle to access.

You must have a four-wheel-drive to get to it and it is very difficult to locate!

We've stayed at a lot of VRBO residences and this might have been the best of them all. It's legit that you're truly immersed in the middle of the rainforest - secluded and so peaceful.
Just be sure to pay attention to the need for a 4x4 vehicle. That's very legit. But if you have one, you'll be fine.

We loved the short 4x4 jungle adventure driving to and from the home into Uvita. Daily Monkey sightings, tucans, Frogs and other birds was a bonus. Home was clean and bug free. Close to everything that we needed/wanted.
