I loved this campsite, very peaceful, not crowded. Colin was very kind and helpful. Our tent was comfy and spotless clean same as the common areas. I super highly recommend this place. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!
PS: The Silver Fox Café which was 10 mins away from the site was delicious and not expensive 😉
Nothing I didn’t like about the property

Quiet and serene overlooking the river, large bell tents with soft furnishing & some camping accessories. Modern facilities lovely and clean. Very accommodating host.

Beautiful bell tents in a stunning river side location. Beds very comfy, had good sleep both nights. Very warm greeting from owner who was keen to ensure we were comfortable (and we were). We are not regular campers but ended the stay agreeing that this was more enjoyable than a B&B of the same price. It was great having everything provided. The food packs were excellent value, sourced from a local butcher, we had a very yummy bbq. Location itself is great for exploring Forest of Dean and there seemed to be lots going on to explore - markets, forest trails, pubs with gardens, museums etc
Accessibility to the site is a work in progress, disabled travellers should contact site to discuss needs (they are great at making any adaption that they can to make the tent/site work for you). We managed using a power chair and crutches. The owner is extremely accommodating but the nature of the site and location itself could pose challenges to some.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was comfortable with plenty of space. The beds were nice and they had comfy duvets and blankets (that kept us warm at night). They had everything we needed such as a barbecue, fire pit, a camping stove plus plates, cutlery, cups, mugs and pans (you just need to take your towels). The view of the river was really nice and the facilities (bathroom, kitchen and showers very clean). The host was very friendly and attentive and gave us information about local attractions and places to eat (the Lyon Inn which is a 6min drive was lovely!). It is an off grid place so it is useful to take a portable power bank to recharge your phone, tablets, etc (but the host is happy to turn on the energy in the kitchen if you need). My young son really enjoyed the whole experience. We would highly recommend this place and we will definitely come back in the future!
We enjoyed everything even on a raining day. :-) There is plenty to do in the area for sunny and raining days.

The location on the river is just beautiful and we were very lucky to see the Severn Bore two nights. The site is very spacious and surrounded by nature with excellent shower facilities.
Nothing, it was all great.

Absolutely fantastic! From day one of booking and us changing the requirements twice I can't give more praise for the hospitality of the host here. He sent us a personalised video for check in and came and made sure all was OK but left us to it also. Lots of good info given personally about the river and local area. Always on hand from before arrival right the way through to departure. If u want to be off grid for a bit in a beautiful setting we would 100% recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay in a great location with great facilities 😉👍

An amazing location. Peaceful with stunning views. Lovely clean, large tent. The facilities were great, clean toilets, showers and kitchen area. Everything is supplied in your tent. The only thing you will need is coal and wood, but this can also be bought on site. Jay was very welcoming and informative about the site and the area, nothing was too much trouble. We can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. We really didn’t want to leave. Many thanks to Jay for a great holiday. Steve and Marie. Oh and Vinnie 😀👍
Absolutely nothing to dislike

The proprietor " Jay", was exceptional in his explanation of this comparatively new site alongside the river Severn.
He has plans to expand the facilities and the potential is very exciting. However, we enjoyed what was in place already.
Would recommend to anyone who likes somewhere a bit special and different.
I suggested a safety aspect, having portable gas cookers/heaters in canvas glamping bell tents is potentially risky.
A central place for portable hand-held fire extinguishers would add to safety. Also being close to the river, a lifebuoy
situated nearby.
Finding the site was somewhat time-consuming for us, non-locals (N.Ireland!). Even some locals were not aware of the site.

The site was absolutely lovely. The facilities were great, particularly the shower which was huge! The tent was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

The location was quiet and peaceful. And lovely by the river. Had a barbecue and fire pit. Plus welcome pack which was a nice touch. And accessories to go with the barbecue.
