Clean, safe and quiet. Great value for money!

Very good value for money. I needed a place where I could take a shower, charge my phone and get a good night sleep before work, and I got exactly that. It was clean, safe, quiet and warm enough. There is a bus stop nearby as well, and no 60 will take you to the city centre in 30 mins.

It was pretty much all that I expected it to be. Everything as advertised. So, I am fully satisfied. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps giving the bathtub some TLC (e.g., re-sealing the side that is attached to the wall). Otherwise, it is a lovely place.

Location is extremely good but unfortunately it’s it’s only for 1 person I often travel to this area with 1 more person and the cannot accommodate 2 ppl regards Waqar Ahmed

The location

No cutlery, no pots and pans to cook in, bare minimum crockery. Bathroom needs attention as really scruffy, couldn’t get out to the garden that needs a LOT of work, had to cook in an old metal bowl that I found. No curtains in rooms, yes please get some pots and pans in so people can cook please, a bowl and a few spoons and knifes aren’t enough to cook in Lovely place, lovely staff but needs a lot of attention to make it serviceable

Good for the money.

Got a private room for an incredible price. Nice and private, facilities were alright, good stuff in the rooms themselves. The bed was big enough and there was a closet, would recommend. The sad face on staff is just as I didn't see any staff. Check in was nice and easy.

Bit far away from anywhere meaningful, especially where I needed to go, that being new street. It is next to a street so it is loud, but it didn't bother me for the price. Bit confusing to get in at first but made sense once I figured it out.

Very basic and overpriced for such low standard

It’s well located to access both the city center and the airport directly with the X1 bus which is only 5min away. The owner let me check in earlier to drop my suitcase which was very kind but I never saw them.

The room was bare, had random useless furniture like a cabinet with objects which would be more appropriate for a living room but completely useless in a bedroom except to fill the empty space. It also had a rack on wheels, no nightstand or table light, only a very bright light which needs to be switched off at the door. To open the bedroom door you need a complicated code every time which is unpractical. The place is sad looking, run down, one of the kitchen cabinet door is broken, the cleaning brooms are hanging in a corner randomly, there is mold in the bathroom, the place is not properly cleaned. it looks like it had not been taken care of properly for a very long time. So it felt overpriced for such a low standard.

The Wi-Fi was pretty good. The room was also okay.

Bad hygiene especially in the bathroom. Hair all over the bath tub every single day during my stay, it was very disgusting. Some of it was also on the kitchen table.

Overall, I liked it. It was a tiny room but neat.

The fact that it had the self-check facilities on.

Clean and tidy

I was on the phone call at 7 pm (not during quiet hours), I was also using a normal volume of my voice, but another guest complained because she was sleeping as she hadn't slept for 3 days I believe. She also asked me to move to the kitchen to continue the phone call. I was unhappy with that experience as not having slept for 3 days wasn't my business. If she didn't want any noise during normal hours, she had better go to a proper hotel instead of budget room.

CLEAN AND ACCESSIBLE

The house was super clean. The location is perfect for catching the bus for going to both the city center or airport. The house host was super nice and available all the time for any matter I would have (I did not have any). I will recommend this stay 100%

Disappointing

The property was clean in general, good wifi. Communication with the owner quick and prompt.

The smell in the house was terrible, very offputting. I was even considering staying in the hotel instead. I did not enjoy staying there because of the general smell around the whole property.

Cheap, free parking but filthy

Not too far from city centre, 15 minutes by car/bus. Free non-residential parking in the road. Lots of places to eat and purchase groceries.

A few yards from A45, extremely noisy with constant traffic. Room very small, with a 4x6 single bed leaving 2ft space to move around in. No blackout curtains/blinds. Mattress very soft so when you turn in bed you roll over the edge. A back breaking 5 nights. House needs a good deep clean esp kitchen and bathroom. Light switches and handles grimy. Flooring fully carpeted and with dark colour debris and mess can clearly be seen. Fridge and microwave full of spillages. If you're not bothered about hygiene and need a cheap place to stay then it's fine otherwise price of a double room is the same as a travel lodge nearby!

Everything was ok except the neighbours and congested room.

Clean, no disturbance inside the house.

Too noisy neighbours, was tired trying to sleep but neighbours was partying outside in front of house i complained but no use. Got box room which is congested but for short stay it was fine.

It's a very lovely place for a short stay.

The location is good - it's just 10-15 mins bus ride from the city centre, and the buses run pretty frequently. When I read the previous comment about no locks for the room or they had concerns about security issue, I did hesitate for a bit. But thanks to the owner who keep improving the place, my room actually has a lock on it! The shared kitchen was clean - although I didn't have the chance to use it except rinsing my water bottle; and the bath room was nice and dry!

Really nice place to stay in Birmingham. Took X1 bus directly from airport to the property and took same bus to city centre in the morning. Great location . Clean and tidy . Host is such a nice guy humble and polite. Checked in late night without problem. Would stay again in the future .

Only bed was comfy 😴 but no point as lot of disturbance was there all the time

Misleading pic , pic for spacious room but was a box room, Host was or someone was coming going again and again ,banging doors all the time of stay ,there were continued noises, heard someone banging next room door saying I AM OWNER OF THE HOUSE. Saw someone outside toilet yesterday and again twice this morning, I think host is too much involved in property and making disturbance. Totally unacceptable 😑 Couldn't sleep whole night. It was way over priced. 0 out 10

absolutely disappointing.

nothing at all, the room was so tiny, I barely had enough room to stand from the bed to the door.

everything, it was dirty, surfaces unclean, bathroom was an absolute disaster, no towels provided, bed was tiny and uncomfortable.. I held my breath till I checked out. please don’t ever stay in this place.

Good quality for the price

The room was as expected for the price

As a solo female traveller with expensive equipment, it was worrying that there was no parking in the surrounding area as the streets were full of vehicles bonnet to bumper, so either had to block the other car on the drive or walk half a mile with laptop and bags.

The owner was friendly

The bed sheet was dirty, The pillows was stained, The bath room was covered in hair, it was disgusting. Not a place that I would recommend to anyone, I’m not worth staying in. One of the guys was living in the house was banging his door so kept me up all night, Very disturbing as I had a meeting in the morning. The towels that was provided has stains. There’s more pictures I’ve taken.
