The most amazing place I have stayed in. The staff are so lovely the location is amazing and the food is some of the best I’ve ever had.

The hike up the summit at sunset was excellent and guide was lovely and caring. View out at mealtime beautiful. Hosts made us feel welcome and remembered our names so a very personal experience. Banana leaf bure roof was beautiful in our replacement bure as planned one was being repaired.

Friendly personell, buffets nett für hungrige Gemüter
Regen, aber dafür kann die Unterkunft nix

Nice community, well organized. Meals are buffet style and quite tasty. The activities are well organized. The room was quite comfortable, with basic no-thrill shower (cold water only) and toilet. They did a cava ceremony. They have a great goodbye song.
No electricity part of the night and day, so the fan turns off during the night. Few cockroaches here and there.

Telecommunication signal including WiFi and internet connections are poor, disconnected at times.

Real Fiji life with great local staff, a beautiful location and a lot of good music.
No AC/DC music ;)
I am kidding. It was beautiful.

This is a fantastic place to relax on the hammocks and read. The reef is spectacular and can be accessed from the beach. The staff are extremely friendly and they go above and beyond to treat guests more like family. We also loved singing at lunch and dinner.
The rooms are pretty basic but it was expected for the price. It was slightly less clean than expected however you can’t really complain for what you get for the price.

Really nice location, great staff, good atmosphere and more of a genuine place.
There were a lot of large dead cockroaches in our room (6-8) that we had to collect and get ride of..

This property is gorgeous and is a slice of paradise you can’t fully capture in photos. There is so much beauty every where you go. The Bures are wonderful and seeing and hearing the ocean from every spot is a dream. The food is outstanding. Stayed at other resorts and nothing compares to this. I look forward to coming back and eating the authentic Fijian breakfast and meals. The staff is the best in all the islands.

Everything was great, especially the hike to the top of the mountain. If you want a great mix of Island Resort and local Village, this is it :)
They even organised the bull shark dive on Kuata Island for us, thank you!

Extremely friendly people and an amazing experience. You're right in the heart of their culture. Also snorkeling just off the beach is incredible, way better than when we went to the Whitsundays even! Would go again. Also advertised without WiFi but there is at the main building a few hours a day.
Accomodation isn't the best in the world but it was big and clean. Only issue was a mouse running around the room but in fairness they dealt with it and turns out they like Haribo sweets so probably our own fault!

Absolutely beautiful location, incredible beach, the sunrise trek we did was an absolute highlight of our whole trip. The staff and community were the most genuine, kind people who lent us their time very generously, cooked us delicious food and made us feel very welcome! Thank you for having us :)
The bathroom facilities and some aspects of the bures could use updating but I’m sure that is in the works.

Location is unreal. People is so so polite and nice , views was incredible, they will actually make you feel like in heaven
There is places to improve, but in another hand we are super happy with everything.

A gorgeous spot that I enjoyed exploring - snorkelling, kayaking, hiking, etc. The food was tasty and plentiful. The staff were extremely helpful and Tai Lo, especially, was a wonderful teacher on all things history/culture.

We stayed at Waya Lailai Eco Heaven for 2 nights and it was an amazing experience. We learned about local people, their ways of living, medicine, food and culture. We truly enjoyed our simple bure with everything needed & located close to the beach. Summit hike with incredible 360 views of the island and surroundings is highly recommended. Waya Lailai Team & Tai Lo looked after us very well, we felt being part of the family and we definitely planning to come back!

It was the best 3 nights of our 7 night stay in the Yasawas and we wished we had stayed there longer. The place just had a more relaxed and cosy feel about it than other places and an interesting mix of guests. Beautiful beach and beachside bungalows with a magnificent
rocky-outcrop backdrop. Wonderful staff.

Also nichts Besorgnis erregendes.
4.5
Die Lage der Häuser am Strand, die Aussicht vom Berg und das Essen. Das Resort wird von den Locals geführt.
Die sanitären Anlagen sind etwas in dir Jahre gekommen aber alles funktioniert.

We had an amazing stay in Waya Lai Lai, we had booked a shared room but the manager, Tai Lo, gave us an upgrade to a bure. The bure was fantastic, close to the beach so we could sleep hearing the waves, and with a private terrace with views to the water.
All of the staff were exceptional, during our stay here we felt not just being guests, but being friends with them. An added value for us was that, being the resort community run, all the staff are local Fijians.
The facilities of the resort are relatively basic, but we found everything we needed: a beautiful beach with clean, white sand and nice swimming and snorkelling, hammocks under the trees, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff and fellow travellers to talk to.
Staying in Waya Lai Lai was definitely a wonderful experience, we will go here again whenever we are back in Fiji. As a matter of fact, we had booked another resort in the Yasawas but decided to return to Waya Lai Lai because it was so much better!
Food is relatively basic and not very well catered for specific dietary requirements (although you'll always have veggies), but on the other hand, it is good value for the price and it was always very tasty.

Big shout out to the staff, if I could give you 15/10 I would! From warm welcome song and hugs to amazing food and great talks.
Our traditional bungalow was awesome, no AC (fan yes) but really not needed, was nice and cool at night.
Kava night session was amazing experience to bond with locals.
They try to remember every person’s name which makes it super homey.
Keep doing what you’re doing because you make our holidays memorable.

This was our second stay on Waya Lailai after visiting 4 other islands in the Yasawas and we can confirm this is the best island!
Wonderful people that will make you feel at home and make it a very personal experience. Make sure to do the hike to the top of the island, the reef shark snorkeling and some volleyball with the locals! Plus some touch rugby if you're keen!
Tai Lo is a great host but the whole family at Waya Lailai are an excellent bunch of people!
We will see you all some day again :)

Probably the best place in Yasawa islands! They keep it small with family and traditional vibe. Don't expect cuisine, bar and pool like at other resorts, but I had beautiful Bure just for myself for the price of dorm at other resorts, the best beach with hammocks, kayak for free (worth to try and go for virgin beaches) and I felt like in real paradise that has not been spoiled by tourism.
Electricity works just at certain time of day and one day also water in my Bure was not working. But I didn't mind that much.

This place is locally owned and you could feel the love there. They were very accommodating as I'm vegan and there was always great food to eat. The activities were good, I did a sunrise hike and there were people who were able to go snorkeling with reef sharks. Also, they offer diving lessons and diving excursions.
