The RSPB bird sanctuary is just along the coast at Bempton Cliffs where thousands of puffins, guillemots, and gannets perch along the rocks. Within an hour you can be in the medieval, walled city of York with its majestic minster standing proudly in the centre of the city. The narrow-cobbled streets, city walls, individual shops and fantastic museums make it an enjoyable day for all age groups. Take a trip on an open top tourist bus or river boat and learn about the history of the famous city. York can also be reached by train direct from Scarborough, so why not leave the car at home? You are within a 15-minute walk from Scarborough’s train station. All in all, this town house is a great base to visit the east coast of Yorkshire.
