For being located on a busier highway, you never heard any of it! The location and set up were perfect!

This was an amazing place. From our care-taker greeting & orientation, to our morning fires, to the Log Cabin Cafe right next store, to the Range Rider Inn right across the street. Silver-gate and this “Chalet” restored our spirits and left us hungry to return!

Wonderful cabin in the middle of Silver Gate. Everything we needed and we loved spending evening at the fire pit and fishing right at the edge of the property.

The location of the cabin was exactly what we were looking for, we were able to be in the park at 6:00 AM, 5 min drive from cabin. We saw Bison, Bear, Coyote, Elk, Pronghorn, and Ram, it was exciting! The bed was so comfortable, I wished we could have taken it home, and the night sky from the bed was a welcome surprise. There was a full moon while we were there that would shine through the window - so beautiful. We enjoyed the fire by the creek at night watching the sunset, and the fireplace inside before bed.
TV and WIFI were good, which is rare in that area.
Great location, quiet and relaxing.

This stay was one of our most relaxing trips yet as a family. We loved the outdoor fire pit, the creek, and the convenience of the general store across the street. The cabin was perfect, the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed. Silver Gate is such a gem and I hope to return some day. We did breakfast at The Log Cabin Cafe next door one morning, we got shakes from Stop The Car Trading Post one evening (maybe two 🙃), dinner from Range Rider Lodge one night, and multiple stops to the General Store for snacks, drinks, and grocery restocks.
We spent hours down by the creek in the backyard, my 4 and 5 year old loved playing on the rocky beach and in the water.

We enjoyed the creek side campfire pit.

Great cabin right next to a old log restaurant with great breakfast. has a little steam on property to fish in we caught several trout. You can literally hike into Yellowstone from your cabin like a mile hike. There is not a lot of people around. If you are looking for a place to disconnect this is your place.

Great location and very relaxing. Isaiah was super helpful and the hospitality was amazing. The town is quant and we will be back.

We originally had booked this property because it’s obviously beautiful, but because it was also super close to the northeast entrance. When the flood happened we thought about canceling all together. I am so glad we did not. The property is so cozy and peaceful. It is right on the creeks and we spent most of our nights having a little fire. The town itself is very small, but everyone was wonderful. Just a short drive to Cooke city where there are more options for food. The owners really put their heart and soul into this wonderful piece of heaven. We had a wonderful trip and are hoping to come back soon!!!! We can’t thank you enough John, Kate, Greta, and Rich.
Much love.

My family had a wonderful experience! The cabin was comfortable, clean and just what you hope a log cabin to be! The property managers were available, friendly and helpful. We loved sitting by the creek either with our morning coffee or by the fire in the evenings! The views out of the bedroom windows are amazing!

We enjoyed every moment at this quaint and cozy cabin. The view is to die for You can see the moon at night from your bed as well as the snow capped mountain right outside the window we enjoyed the fireplace at night and the comfortable cozy bed. Even though there is a good bit of foot traffic all around it was very private. If your looking for modern and sleek this is not it My only suggestion would be in regards to the kitchen. It could benefit from a few more cooking and storage bowels. Definitely pick up your groceries in the closest major town. We went late in the season and things were closing down. Be prepared to cook and you will need to bring everything you might need to prepare a meal.
It was comfortable and relaxing and I would go back tomorrow if I could

Everything was clean and tidy. All was just as described, although it was bigger than it looked in the pictures. The manager was very friendly and informative.

This cabin is such a great location for exploring the NE corner of YNP.
We loved returning to the cabin after our long days of exploring. We would pour a beverage and enjoy watching the sunset while sitting at the edge of the creek.

Adorable cabin sitting right on the Soda Butte creek. Comfortable and extremely close to Yellowstone’s NE gate. Property manager and his wife were wonderful and helpful. Would absolutely rent this cabin again.

This was our second time to stay in the chalet. The chalet is charming, clean, and has a beautiful view of mountains and the river. The hosts, Julie and George, are friendly and helpful!

I'm almost hesitant to review how much we enjoyed staying at this cabin in Silver Gate. This location is a hidden gem in the lower 48 and we'd like to keep it a secret! Closest you can get to Alaska without being in Alaska. My son and I hiked, fished, took a Talon back country exploring...everything you would want to do is right around cabin. Buffalo lounging in backyard each morning, black bear eating on the hillside, Soda Butte creek rolling right by cabin...life doesn't get much better. NE entrance to Yellowstone is right down the road and did I mention the breakfast at Bearclaw Cafe in Cooke City? Holy smokes that's the best breakfast we've ever had. Anywhere! George the property manager is as solid a person as you will ever run across. We will be back to enjoy the great views, perfect location and outstanding cabin. Thanks for letting my son and I share your piece of heaven!

Just a short drive (a mile or so) from the NE entrance to Yellowstone and the magnificent Lamar Valley. Keep a lookout of the local town mascot Jackson. He’s a huge male bison so don’t get too close! The whole herd may just wander down the road and visit the town also!!! Spent every evening sitting down by the river behind my cabin enjoying a glass of wine and the incredible views. Be sure to take the Beartooth highway to the town of Red Lodge. An awesome drive and cute town. Then spend the rest of your days exploring Yellowstone. The caretakers of the property, George and Julie were marvelous and very knowledgeable about the area. Would stay again at this wonderful place. Thx to the owners John and Kate for the trip of a lifetime!

Cabin very clean but had a very bad odor from the fireplace which was not in use. All the bedding smelled from the odor and so did our clothing in our luggage. The living room had very private blinds but the bedroom had terrible blinds that did not fit the windows and were gapping open, no privacy whatsoever. We felt very uncomfortable because anyone walking around outside could very easily see inside. The listing showed a washer/dryer in which we assumed was in the cabin but was in another building outside in the backyard. The staff informed us that they used the laundry building for all the rentals. Certain days of the week it was closed for staff use. This was also a hugh disappointment because one of the reasons we booked this rental was for having the washer & dryer being that we were staying in area for 3 weeks. We did not feel comfortable taking our laundry there. Our suggestion to the owner is to buy blinds or curtains for the bedroom so renters can feel they have privacy and do something about the smell omitting from the fireplace. T

My husband and I absolutely loved the property. It's very conveniently located in town and right next to the park. The chalet is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We will be back!

We stayed here for a week in June. The cabin was perfect. The first thing we noticed upon entering was how clean everything was, which is a huge thing for my wife and I. The care takers of the property, George and his wife Julie do an amazing job. They are also super friendly people and are always there for you if you need anything. The cabin was perfect for us. It is actually bigger than it looks on the website. It has a huge beautiful fireplace in the living room that we used a few nights. The bed was super comfortable, it had a nice hot shower and the kitchen had everything you need. Our favorite spot was the outdoors yard that had a great fire pit area right next to the Soda Butte creek that runs through the yard. We sat there every night and had a fire and just listened to the creek. It was perfect. The location of the cabin is also perfect. Its less than a 5 minute ride to the entrance of Yellowstone and so close to Lamar Valley, which in my opinion is the best part of Yellowstone. The town that the cabin is in is Silver gate, is a beautiful and very small place which just added to the ambiance of the cabin. The views from the cabin alone are truly amazing, You are just surrounded by amazing views. We were able to see Mountain Goats on the mountain right from the cabin. Although the property is near the road, you have plenty of privacy (you don't see the road) and the road has very few cars, so that is not an issue at all. We had the best time at this property and I honestly highly recommend it. This is a perfect place and knowing that the care takers George and Julie are there for you if you need them only makes it even better

The cabin was more charming than the pictures. The fireplace is a work of art itself! Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with glasses, plates, utensils, pots, etc. Add to that a great shower in the bathroom. The resident cow moose made an appearance with her yearling calf one evening meandering through the yard. The charming cafe next door serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in case you don’t feel like cooking.

We had a very nice stay at the Creekside Chalet. The bed and view from the bed are amazing! We enjoyed eating our lunch by the creek. Our only suggestion would be to provide a few basic kitchen staples since it is so remote and you can't run to the store to pick something up - salt & pepper, spices, cooking oil, cooking spray, etc. Most places were closed for the season during our visit. Be sure to shop before you head to Silver Gate. Also good to note, you're about 1.5 hours from a drug store. The Chalet is in a great location for spending time in the Lamar Valley.
