About this house rental
The structure is very welcoming and is suitable for those who want to stay in a private place and in contact with nature, but not isolated. The holiday home offers all the essential services and is in a highly strategic position as it is possible to reach many Tuscan tourist locations in a short time.
The family-run holiday home offers the possibility of spending a peaceful holiday in every season in a comfortable environment with an ancient flavour.
You can taste the oil and wine we produce and visit the vineyard and olive grove from which they are produced.
The Il Vecchio Merlo holiday home in Tuscany is rented entirely to a single family or group of friends/family.
On the ground floor we find a large kitchen with fireplace and wood-burning oven, the dining room with an imposing antique crystal chandelier and a wood-burning ceramic stove, the living room created from the old stable, with two large sofas and a fireplace, a bathroom with bathtub and another bathroom with large shower and laundry area. New generation AC in all rooms.
On the first floor, climbing the stone staircase worn over the years you will find a bathroom with shower and four large double bedrooms, each different in furnishings and in the color of the paint on the walls which were painted with the floral roller printing technique: the Giunchiglia room , the Lavender room, the Fiordaliso room and finally the Pink room with a king size bed.
The external area consists of a large garden overlooking the olive grove and the owned vineyard.
Inside the garden, an area is dedicated to the hydromassage pool.
The property has free parking for 3 cars
CURIOSITY':
The holiday home The old blackbird owes its name to an old blackbird that used to land on the kitchen windowsill every morning; a frequency that has become constant, also fueled by our attention which sometimes pushed us to leave a few grains of corn or sunflower seeds on the windowsill.

We had a lovely couple of weeks at Jacopo’s house. The house has been beautifully restored and set in an olive grove and vineyards. The house is relatively remote but within easy 10mins drive to towns. A car is essential for a stay at this property. Jacopo was a great host and readily available if we needed him, and gave great tips and advice vice on places to visit. We would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.
