Great value in good location but needs a little improvement

Good value, great location, friendly staff, car parking. Room not bad with fridge and microwave as a nice bonus

The bed was extremely creakey - if you moved in the night it woke you up. We were Room 8 - not sure if that is worst. We were only given one smallish towel between two of us for two nights

Inexpensive city stay

Great location in easy walking distance of city centre, right by the RC Cathedral and the lovely Plantation Garden. You can leave your car there for the rest of the day after checking out, which is very handy. Good value, must be one of the cheapest hotels in the city centre.

They keep the price low by cutting all costs to a minimum: fixtures and fittings are the most basic and there are no frills, which I suppose is fair enough. Expect almost no storage for clothes, barely adequate towels, and not getting room cleaned during your stay. But it all seemed clean and functional! We were on the first floor of a rambling old building, and I was bothered that fire doors seem to be permanently propped open with extinguishers. I closed the one on my corridor every evening but it was propped back open the next day

Good value at the 'no cancellation allowed' rate but the room was really suited only to contractors

Peaceful, location of room straight out into car park, felt like self-catering facility. Easy to reach public transport. Large TV which I kept bumping my head on trying to clothes out of my suitcase.

Absolutely uncomfortable! No chair to sit on for 5 days. No wardrobe or hangers. Had to live out of suitcase for whole stay. Very small room but problem was it was like living in a caravan with heat from afternoon sun beating in.

Plenty of parking

Kept waiting at 5pm as was told beds just had to be made. When we were given the rooms (2no) they hadn’t been cleaned. Dirty carpet, dirty showers, used cups left in sink, dirty sink, beds had stains under the sheets.

I stayed extra nights ...

Exceptional price: value ratio. The location of the hotel was excellent - there is an outstanding public garden right next to the hotel, and the cathedral and shopping precincts were within easy walking distance. In the room the bed was very comfortable and the small fridge and microwave useful. Great shower. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

In ground floor rooms it would be great to have some means of security so that the windows could be left open a little at night.

An ok stay but a rear facing room wood be quieter

The hotel is in a busy main road and my front facing room meant lots of noise from passing traffic & noisy people going past

A comfortable two night stay

The location is ideally placed for walking into the city centre and is close to the Theatre Royal and adjacent to the Plantation Garden. Receptionist Rosa was very efficient and helpful carrying bags to our room. The room was tastefully furnished and included everything one would need for a short stay. There was a plentiful supply of hot water and facilities in the shower room were of a high standard. Access to internet was straightforward. I would certainly stay here again

Free parking is provided for guests without the need to reserve but there are no marked bays for car parking. This is not possible on the car park surface so no fault of the hotel. However, people arriving early were parking without consideration for later arrivals leaving large gaps and later in the evening people were having difficulty finding a space. Perhaps a notice or two requesting drivers to park with consideration would not go amiss

Very enjoyable would go back .

Location very good 10 min walk to the centre, You can leave your car in car park up to 10pm on the day you are leaving no charge . Staff very friendly and helpful .

No hairdryer in room but we had our own .

Good value for a hotel so close to Norwich city centre.

The location is ideal for Norwich city centre: a five minute walk over a footbridge. Staff were polite and efficient, and room was clean and well equipped - microwave, fridge, kettle, TV, bedside lamps.

There is no clear signage indicating 'Nysdill' hotel - I had to ask someone working in a nearby building.

A good place for someone travelling along for work.

The staff were helpful and the room was comfortable for a stay. It was useful having access to the fridge and microwave as travelling alone for work, it was more pleasant to eat in my room while working.

My only comment is that the name on the signs outside are different from the name on here, which did lead to some confusion in my finding the hotel.

Staff incredibly friendly. Traffic noise was really bad and no way to close out the street light.

Friendly receptionist.

Being in a separate building. The windows didn't close properly so it was incredibly noisy, its right on a very fast road. The blinds don't close out any light. There was no fridge.

lovely place for short stay. No breakfast , but facilities in room to make your own. Staff very helpfull . My husband couldn't make the trip but staff did not charge any extra for single occupancy, which lots of hotels would have done

No good for night workers

The fact it had a microwave and fridge

I didn't get the room I booked, it seemed a requirement for staff to slam shut every door as they passed through. So, as I worked nights I had virtually no sleep, wasted of time pulling the curtains not blackout. ,I was there four 5 days with no room service at all bins not emptied

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Easy walk to city centre. Spacious room. Comfy bed. Excellent value for the price.

Good location, friendly staff, free parking

Nice to have a fridge, microwave and sink in the room. Good value for money. Accommodating with early parking and you can leave your car there until 10pm the day you check out

Good location, hard mattress.

Good location. Free car park which you can use the day after your stay.

Room smelt damp, mattress really hard, Mildew in shower. Asked for bath and received reply saying I would but room only had shower. Doors bang really loudly.
