Staff amazing with children, especially Dave and Ava. Had such a lovely break, my children already asking when can they go back! Old school service with a smile, 10 out of 10!

It was amazing, I went to Galway for my nephew’s wedding and the wedding reception was held at the hotel. It was lovely, the food was amazing. We had a lovely time. The hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. The bedrooms are spacious and clean.

The main problem was that the entrance doors to the hotel would not close resulting in the large foyer, where guests mingle, being extremely cold and unpleasent.

This is a lovely hotel, but it's a bit dated. Could use a sprucing up.

Waterfront. But average

Amazing location. The hotel is a little dated but it was still comfortable. And the location and views are worth any negatives.

We had everything we needed at this property and enjoyed the amenities and view of the ocean. Wish it was a little closer to the main restaurants and shops. Would recommend.

Great view of Galway Bay from our room! Not walkable to the Latin Quarter but close enough for a short uber. Great restaurant and pub on premises and great walkable beachfront and garden areas with a block!

The property looks much nicer online. It looks more resort-y online. In reality it’s an average hotel near a beach. Staff were nice enough. Temperature in room cannot be adjusted and opened windows let in smoke and noise. No wash/face cloths in bathroom. Pier restaurant description seemed to be “fine dining” but was more of a cafe experience.

Such a lovely property with great amenities - pool, sauna, Galway Bay views, walkabke to town and beach, and the best hotel breakfast I've ever had (which also happens to be complimentary) in their lovely dining room. Comfortable and spotless all around.

Beautiful hotel. The public areas were spacious with a feel of luxury, very relaxing.
The room felt a little disappointing after lobby etc. The beds were very comfortable, and the quiet fan provided was very welcome. However the room needs a spruce up, the bed base needs a cover as it is very old fashioned. The water pressure was poor, and silicone around the bath was discoloured in places. We were a room of three, only 2 sets of towels, glasses, mugs, both days. On the first day when requesting more towels etc, response was no apology, and lethargic. The second day we just took the towels off the trolley in hall. Tea tray was poor incl. no biscuits. Room refresh didn’t happen, I stay away a lot for business and this is not the normal unless asked, so had to hunt down more teabags etc.
To conclude lovely location, facilities, but disappointing with room and housekeeping.

Beautiful hotel within 10 mins walk of Galway city. The parking was very tight and limited. Our hot water did not work and we informed maintenance. They said they would come up and fix it but nobody did.

Seems like a good idea, trying to be a destination hotel resort but doesn’t quite have the quality to do it right. I think bc there are plenty of options in the area and they only put limited funds into being resort-like.
Food in restaurants pretty good
Wine tasting was nice if amateur.
Beach is great.
Breakfast is amazing.
Just a bit too far to walk to downtown Galway.
No AC but was comfortable anyway.

Nice location - that’s it. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. The server was mixing utensils so absolutely nothing was vegetarian. So gross. Also they clear your plates before you finish but won’t bring you a glass of water. Very odd setup and quite expensive at $280/night.
