Wonderful. We visited Takayama 7 years ago and a lot has changed. We loved the Onsen and walking around the town. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel again

This hotel is well-run, if a bit sterile. The onsens -- one large and older with exquisite outdoor rock pools; the other brand new -- make this hotel special and are the best reason to stay here. The building is a bit old and tired except for a new wing. And the breakfast is pricey for what is offered. I also found the pillows very uncomfortable: too big and too hard. But for a short stay, the hotel did not disappoint.

Everything about the hotel was satisfactory. My only complaint is the two doormen who didn’t lifted a finger to help us unload our luggage when we arrived and load them when we left. There were 5 of us, so quite a bit of luggage. 4 of us in our group are 70+ and 80+ years of age, and i, being slightly younger, was the only one unloading the Alphard when we arrived. I also reloaded the car when we left the next day. But on both occasions, the doormen just stood there and didn’t help. I found that very unacceptable.

Awesome resort-style hotel with different dining options and a beautiful Onsen. We stayed in a lovely, spacious Japanese style room. Easy parking and great location.

Nice spacious hotel with a short walk from the station. We had reserved 3 nights with Kaiseki dinners but decided to swap one night with the buffet dinner which was surprisingly good. There are two onsens on site with the newer one reserved for guests only. The range of restaurants and dining options were great and the souvenir shop on premises is great. Vending machines and coin-laundromats are also available as added convenience.
The carpet in the mixed western/Japanese rooms could probably be replaced, but overall a pretty nice hotel to stay at.

Compared to other hotels, we visited Here in Japan breakfast is mediocre
Surprised that since this is supposed to be a green hotel by name there still using little bottles of shampoo, etc dinner in the Japanese restaurant in the hotel was amazing

The hotel was very nice and the Onsen was glorious. However, there was no food and the restaurants seemed to close inside of their posted hours. Every time we asked when the restaurants would be open they were actually closed. It was very infuriating when we had a day out and relied on the hotel to provide us a meal as advertised and posted yet nothing was available. We would not recommend this hotel for this reason. It is a terrible experience to go to bed hungry or start your day with no breakfast. NOT good at all!!!

Takayama is an amazing place and this hotel is not that far away from the old town, just turn right and go straight up and pretty much takes you to the Red bridge. The new wing is quite nice, old wing has two onions. First floor is nice, basement one is a bit small and bit dank. Overnight parking is 1000 yen which is quite small considering in the old town it's 200 to 300 yen for 30 minutes. One could easily spend two days. The weather for us was quite warm at the end of September / beginning October.

Room is nice and clean. Staff at front desk can speak English. There is few shops and convenience store next to hotel that is awesome for us to grab night food.
But we have to pay 1000 yen for parking fee... I thought guest parking is free.

The hotel is really nice and clean. We stayed at the newer tower so it was a little bit of a walk to the hot springs. We enjoyed the hot springs and wish we have more time to explore the restaurants and other amenities. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The old wing is really old. It’s clean, but the furniture is worn down. The room is sound proof from the traffic, but not from the hallway. People leaving early woke us up several times. It says “no smoking” but clearly someone smoked in a room, the smell was intense in the corridor!

The hotel was very nice, with included onsen which was a bonus (note there is an extra ¥150/person bathing tax for the onsen on top of the booking fee). The staff was very kind and helpful. I only have 2 minor complaints: 1) the room is VERY dated (but it is still clean and comfortable), and 2) they charged me ¥1000 for parking, but didn’t even take down my license plate or give me a pass or anything, which suggests I could have just parked there for free anyways (since I assume this means they don’t even check the parking lot). Minor inconveniences in an otherwise nice stay!

Hotel got 2 onsen, both with outdoor onsen. The one on 1F was so relaxing in a green setting. Rooms n amenities provided have also exceeded expectation. Hotel provides shuttle service from JR station, but very limited timing. Nonetheless, will stay again when in Takayama

During my stay@ Takayama Green hotel, I had forgotten to take my handbag with me when I stepped out of their executive club room. My handbag contained my son's and my passports & wallet. To my relief, the hotel front desk contacted me immediately when their staff found my handbag. Everything in my handbag was left untouched.
