The room with private pool was absolutely beautiful! Food was good. Waterhole excursion was good, just the road needs some work and it’s quite a distance away. We wish we had not booked game drives prior as we ended up doing our own drive into the park, saw lots, big herds of elephant are great to see.

Lovely room and very large bed. Really enjoyed the view of “absolutely nothing but landscape for as far as you could see” from the bed (great substitute TV) Lovely to look at but not very practical taps (waterstill running for some time after tap is closed) in the bathroom, especially as they preach about saving waterthere (and very where else). Welcome drinks in the fridge / night cap Port in the room. Private plunge pool. Very varied buffet for dinner and for breakfast (for a very few guests). Lots of attention to detail. A most enjoyable stay.

A real treat, an unassuming oasis at the top of Etosha. Excellent value and great staff. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I’ve found all the Gondwana lodges to be superb.

By far the best room I stayed in in Namibia. Large, bright and luxurious, with lots of welcome extras, and the plunge pool so refreshing at the end of the day. The food was very good and the staff were tripping over themselves to offer us help. There were lots of animals at nearby watering holes. It’s relatively new and my advice would be to get there before the secret is out!

This was our second stay at the Etosha King and it wasn't as good as our first. We were very much looking forward to our stay here after a excellent experience in 2021.
The rooms were just as good, the separate villas with private plunge pool are comfortable and of high quality. Our guide, Davis was also very good after we spent the morning with him in the park and afternoon at the waterhole.
The difference this year was at meals and within administration, where the staff appeared under trained and under resourced. A light lunch took over a hour to arrive, drink service was very slow, our final invoice was mishandled and the property took money from my credit card for the stay that should only have been paid at departure, (which may or may not have been already refunded).
Its difficult to recommend this property at this time. The park is very close and has excellent animal and birdlife. The rooms are very good with really nice views of open savannah. Apart from one shinning light at the restaurant, (the guys who brings the schnapps helped as much as possible to look after us), it feels like a very demotivated team here.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The entire staff is so friendly and gives you the feeling you are the King there :-). The design of the Hotel is really impressing and the view from the houses is breathtaking. Entrance to Etosha National Park is just five minutes away. Get sure to book the Safari and Waterhole Trip at the reception. Memories you will never forget. Food was great, brings you the Namibian cuisine on your plate. The only small problem is the slow wifi, but you should shutdown your devices anyway and enjoy the nature! :-)
