We found the accomadation excellent and the staff could not do enough to ensure we had a good stay. The bar was very friendly and a good selection of beverages were available. We will definatley stay at Forest Lodge again

This is my second stay recently.Clean rooms with modern bathrooms, friendly atmosphere & staff really helpful. Excellent freshly cooked food. Zorro the black lab is a real character too. Booked again for my next stay.

We really enjoyed this vintage pub with cosy, modern rooms upstairs in Robin Hood’s backyard. Taking daughter to uni in Nottingham so this was an ideal stop. The kitchen was closing at 8 so we arrived just in time to grab a tasty bite from extensive menu. A bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich on crusty bread was washed down with a couple of draught beers while watching the Champions League along with the bar’s friendly lab. Triple room nicely decorated was ideal for us with power shower and good night’s sleep. Window onto street but didn't notice traffic noise. Can’t say I’ve had a fire grate in a bathroom before but along with the wooden vaulted ceilings in the dining room, it showed the inn’s character. Eggs Benedict and all sorts of other al la carte breakfast was tasty. Much better value than bland hotel chains. Will be back if in area again.

Tried to cancel with hotel, was told that they would contact Expedia. Turns out nothing was done, only to then be told on day of arrival that I could no longer cancel without full payment of 2 nights. Will not be returning

Fantastic stay easy to park lovely staff especially the large black lab !! Exceptional food super tasty and great portions at good price ! Room nice well equipped and quiet Breakfast really really good 👍

One night stay in triple room with family, clean and tidy room with what you need and a bonus of a bath. Food was very good and enjoyed all of it. Staff were happy, friendly and nothing was a problem. Certainly would use again if in area. Only downside was the bed seemed a bit too soft.

Excellent location for Sherwood forest, spacious room with super friendly staff. Breakfast was superb nothing was too much trouble. Good size parking lot right outside the hotel, lots of local small independent shops near by

Location only 3 minutes drive to Sherwood Pines Lovely friendly staff Good breakfast Twin room booked as only one available for our dates but thought we would be able to push beds together Twin room was 2 x single beds in separate rooms lol 😂

Disappointed. Had a rather rude greeting on arrival. Room was cold but staff sorted. Booked here as room had bath - no hot water! No one told me the boiler was broken, & I couldn’t have a proper wash - the room should never have been available. Curtains were very thin with a street light directly outside window. Awake from about 4:30am. The photo was taken at midnight. Was given new room with hot water next day & refund but won’t be going back.

Arrived after food service had stopped but Forest Lodge were very helpful and offered to make us a sandwich. We got a takeaway in the end and they let us borrow their plates and cutlery :)

My Daughter and I have just had a 2 night stay at the Forest Lodge having traveled up from Kent for a wedding. On arrival we were greeted and immediately were made to feel welcome , nothing was a problem , All the staff were amazing and we would like to say a huge thank you for making our stay so pleasurable . Would highly recommend 👍🙂

Overall the Forest Lodge was lovely, the only down side was breakfast, nobody there, called out, waited over 10 minutes for chef to arrive, when breakfast came it was excellent
