Great location, good wifi, nice common area, big lockers, breakfast was decent but not quite filling enough.
The dorm room I got was musty and sweaty smelling and they didn’t turn on the air con one of the nights I was there so the room was hot. Overall it’s way overpriced for what you get.

Location is fantastic, just a one minute walk from the beach. But most importantly this is the friendliest and most social hostel I have been to. Every evening they have activities and everyone is welcome to join. I found many friends in this amazing hostel.
Nothing to complain about. Everything was as expected or far better.

The people seem nice. The location is near the party zone. However the good part and more expensive of Sayulita is on the other side of the town.
If you get the single room it is effectively as staying on the street (you can see through the wooden walls). There are so many other hostels with half price and better quality facilities. This is the hostel that is popular these days in Sayulita hence if you are a groupie you will love it.

I loved the social activities and communal area. Since I am a solo traveller I was happy that it was easy to make friends here. Breakfast was also good. Beds were comfortable and they provided blankets on request.
I needed to change rooms every day that I stayed there, even though sometimes there was room in the old room I was staying.. so not sure why they don't have their organisation in order.

Location

The location to the centre of town was convenient
The ability to use a kitchen to prepare for was really helpful.
The location was also it's main downside. The room is at the front of the building with palm branch walls and roof, meaning that no sound was eliminated. The bars on either side partied till 4am and the hostel itself kept their sound system cranked till 2am. Even with earplugs sleep was easily kept at bay.

loved the staff and location.
the smell of the bathrooms

Kitchen and common areas are beautiful. The staff are kind, but have no real authority to provide customer service.
Notice that there are no pictures of the private rooms, only the dorms. There's a reason for this...
Without question, this is the worst night in a hostel in my life. Firstly – they were not honest and charged me more than Booking quoted. The walls and door of the private room they put me in were made of grass mats. There was a six-inch gap between the grass mat and the roof which let in enough light from the outside that I could see well enough to write in my journal.
There was a party from ten to midnight inside the hostel and the grass mat walls did nothing to reduce the noise. If you're looking for a frat house, I'm sure you'll have an amazing stay. If you're looking for the community experience and shared kitchen of a hostel – find somewhere else.
I left after the first night and they refused to refund me even though they rented the room out to someone else. Booking did nothing.

great social scene and helpful staff
it was a tad stuffy in the rooms but I opened the window

I initially only booked 3 nights, and ended up extending my stay for another week because I liked it so much here. The free breakfast served every morning was usually pretty good, and there was also typically an activity every day that made it very easy to meet people. Also the design of the hostel makes it super easy to make friends as well, with a common area in the middle where everyone hangs out. Vibes were great, and I came away making some great friends.
In the description of the hostel, it mentioned the hostel had a bar, but there was no bar/no bartender when I visited. (i.e. there was a physical bar but it was empty) this wasn't a huge deal because you could walk outside the door and find a million bars within a stone's throw, but I thought I'd mention it. The facilities were fine, nothing amazing, but the vibes were great.

Excellent hostel. Great location right in town, close to the beach. Varied breakfast every day. Staff were friendly and organised. Dedicated lockable storage space for each guest in the bedrooms. Plug points and fans for each bed. Access to a fridge and kitchen. Drinking water provided. Daily activities and social events. No-noise after midnight.

For a surf hostel l, it was great! Beds were decently comfortable and spacious with the privacy curtains. Friendly staff and fellow travelers filled the communal areas and people were very respectful of quiet time. Hot water in the downstairs showers was great! Plugs and a light bybthe bed was great too.
The toilets were not cleaned very often and for what it was, it was pretty pricy.

Breakfast in the morning is made by the staff, completely unexpected but great addition.
Wifi worked great.
Location is amazing, central to everything one could need on holiday.
Booking.com implies this hostel has a shuttle service for pick and drop offs from the airport it doesn't, it was public transit. 55 pesos and 50-60 min ride. Which was fine.
The showers don't have hot water.
Upper bunks were built in a way that the ladder is short one step when coming off the bed, big step for shorter people.
I recommend earplugs.
This hostel and many spots around sayulita do pass on the credit card charge onto the customer, so if you do use CC know it's an additional 19% charge

The location is excellent as the hostel is right in the city centre and there are a lot of food and drink options as well as shops and bars nearby, the beach is also only a few minutes away. Every morning one of the staff members makes breakfast which might take a while but is very tasty and comes at a good price.
There are only one sink and mirror upstairs.

Great place, decent wifi, great location, friendly staff.
