Breakfast was excellent as usual The ladies that prepared it were lovely.
The room was lovely but a rodent or something had died under the floorboards and the odour was in the room.
4.5
Beautiful location, yummy breakfast
3.0
Homey feeling, wonderfully friendly owners.

Such an old place whenever anyone walked around or used the bathroom it was quite loud.
4.5
This place is wonderful. It's like staying in a museum full of antiques. The cooked breakfast was more than enough and the dining area just a delight.
Unfortunately my bed was one of the antiques and quite swayback. I had the main house to myself but otherwise I'd have had to share the bathroom.
4.5
Great location, old world charm and hospitality. Rooms have different themes. Breakfast is a great start to the day.
Relaxing location on the banks of the Blackwood river. What’s emporium is really cool to look around.
Shower in the room is way way to small. Decks around the buildings are showing signs on disrepair due to age and weathering.

The best bacon and eggs I've ever had!

Great breakfast
Freezing cold, only given 2 blankets, duvet would’ve been better. Air con took more than an hour to heat the room. Shower is so small you can’t move in it without opening the door. Shower head is mounted incorrectly so if you stand in the middle of the shower the spray does not reach correctly.

Very nice breakfast. The accommodation was clean and tidy. The toilet was indoors.
The bathroom was shared between at least 6 adults. The problem was that the sole toilet was in the bathroom so at one stage I had to wait 20 minutes to visit the loo because someone was having a shower. I strongly suggest future guests take their own chamber pot or bucket for toileting emergencies.
There was a lovely lounge room with a wood fire and lovely lounge seats, but one guest was given that room to sleep in so the room was really out of bounds for everyone else.
There was no hairdryer provided but luckily another guest had brought her own and lent it to me.
2.5
The location.
The gardens.
The house was in need of maintenance
The toilet was running continuously until I fixed it temporarily
We were not asked how would we like our eggs, they came out over cooked
Our room was very cold, even with the fire going

Amazing breakfast, overall very happy with rooms.
Shower area was clean, didn’t have the same feel has the rest of house in regards to feel.

A wonderfully restored and furnished guest house. The collections of art, books and memorabilia throughout the rooms are a treat. Staff and hosts were friendly and informative and obviously proud of their unique part of local history. Lovely place to stay and we'd return anytime..

V ordinary breakfast. Quaint vibes and heritage ambience make the experience unique.
Creaky bed in Jarrah room should be replaced

Location and the history of the homestead. The gifts shops were very helpful for friends gifts. Felt lovely to be staying in a country environment with the geese, ducks and other wild life around the property. The old fire places and coffee lounge was a very warm touch also.
At breakfast we felt your selection of bread could be improved. There was only white bread the morning we stayed.

Location is stunning, breakfast is great value and very enjoyable, beautiful walks along river, lovely old world charm
Need separate guests toilet from bathroom. Screendoors need repair to keep out mosquitoes. Room needed bar fridge. Mouse problem.Ceiling fan would have been nice or any sort of fan. TV needs to be bigger.

Lovely old fashioned gardens complete with geese and fruit trees. The pictures and art lining the walls were also delightful to browse. A wonderful breakfast the next morning and the location was perfect for a morning run along the riverside and into town.
