Big rooms, clean, good location
I paid over $ 2200 for 3 nights ( formula 1 weekend) and they want to charge me $3 for a small bottle of water

The location is why I've been coming to this hotel for decades.
The price has gotten to be where it isn't a value anymore. Forced valet parking that after fees and taxes and tips is about $70 a night? That was three times the cost of my rental car.
4.0 / 10.0
Honestly disappointed.
The pool was closed, we had to call just to get into the parking lot, because the valet had the entrance blocked, the hotel itself is pretty run down, they charge exuberant rates for meals, parking and any extras, after already inflated room rates.

Staff
When you check in they tell you about what time is breakfast as if it’s included!!! Nope not included expensive! $50 for parking!

Beautiful older building, nice lobby, friendly helpful staff.
The room was not as updated/well maintained as I would have expected for the price. Headboard in the bedroom with the king size bed was cracking/peeling, large chair in living room was disgusting and should be replaced. Just over all underwhelming for a room that was the price it was for 1 night.

We absolutely love our room! We didn’t expect it to be so big and spacious.

Parking expensive. Someone doing some type of construction woke the baby up early

The staff was amazing and accommodating.

Good location near the Congress, huge rooms, a pool.
Extremely noisy, the building next to my window was parking with huge ventilation blocks - you felt as if you are in the basement of some factory. Luckily, when I asked to change the room - they relocated me to the 14th floor with less noise and much more light.
What I didn't like about the breakfast is that I still have to pay tips for breakfast even though it was included in my booking already. Breakfast was OK, but ideally I'd like a bit more like tomatoes, ham, and almond milk at least.

Clean rooms. Stocked with coffee. Fridge and microwave.. Large rooms so the family can space out. Pull out bed.
Bring charging cords and adapters, there are plugs to plug in your electronics and a nice desk but no USB plug.

location, space, and valet parking was quick and easy.
Sofa bed mattress worn out. Wallpaper in bathroom peel off. phone not working.

We, ❤️ this location and the hotel is great 👍🏼.
Please consider renovating/updating. The breakfast is a little expensive and should have a better selection for the cost.

Central Austin location. Clean comfortable room. very attentive staff.
The price was a little higher than I wanted to pay for such a property.

Some of the furniture in my room, mainly the headboard of the bed, was showing significant wear and tear.

The location is good

No parking available for guests and the V. Parking is very expensive at $50...we end up parking elsewhere.
The breakfast is average
No drinking water in the room

The balcony was great to get the fresh air instead of air conditioner. kitchen was great, good privacy.
The property itself is ok. surrounding area doesn’t have much for coffee houses or restaurants
Pealing headboards on the beds. only one towel hook.
washrooms were not in the greatest shape.

location
My room wasn't clean on my arrival day , the counter top were dirty!!
I found Pubic hair in one of the bed at my arrival.
There was an invisble line left in the counter of the bathroom.
No one came to bring me new towel or do one bed...
Some of the wallpaper is falling of, the Vent from the bathroom isn't properly attached and is about to fall, this is a safety hazard.
I'm travelling a lot to conferences in the energy business and I never saw anything like that. I am extremely disappointed and won't never come back to your hotel!!
I have all the pictures, and I'll make sure to share the truth about how you run your business. Not even a manager would discuss with me.

The hotel is beautiful and location is great
One elevator was not working. And my stay was during the weather emergency in Austin. Im sorry, but I do expect big names like this to rise like a star when calamity happens and it was the complete opposite. Staff was stressed, customer service lacking. I paid for breakfast through booking.com to be included and they were unable to find it, so they gave me no option but to pay it again. Booking.com tried to get in touch with hotel to clarify what was included in my rate, so far no answer.
They also attempted to charge my dinner twice but I was able to open my bank of america app to show it was already paid.
It seems like they were really not ready and everything was a mess
I begged for 30 minutes more since the conference I went to Austin for was turned virtual and because the hotel doesn't have a business area, I didn't want to have my conference in the loud lobby or restaurant. They denied my request.... yet I found the front desk staff lying to other people at the front desk when I was forced to check out that people were granted late checkouts due to the power outage and they didn't have rooms available.
Needles to say. I ended up missing all the last part of my virtual conference, could not put attention due to being forced to check out and all the trouble during such.... I ended listening to the last 20 min in my car, in the cold.
Sad, disappointing stay if you ask me.
This hotel certainly has much to work on

I loved that it was a beautiful hotel ,it was.a surprise to have a balcony room., And to tell u the truth, I didn't realize it was a suite either, I completely overlooked that in the name ...easy check in with all I needed to know info , we enjoyed our room with two double beds , two tvs and even dishes in the kitchen with a full size refrigerator.....We we're told about the free cookies upon request at the front desk at any time and about the cafe and bar..
We enjoyed the bar and Matt was great even though we arrived a few minutes to closing , we enjoyed the brisket tacos ,.some cognac and we were able to take a bottle of wine and glasses and ice bucket to the room ....
The parking option was valet for $49.or park across the street at a parking garage for 20.00 everytime u exit....It was cold and freezing and raining...we decided to park at garage , we didn't to much like this option, but then later , we decided it wasn't bad, we didn't see any security at the garage although during the day seemed like someone was working in the office there....no problems with car..
