Beautifully appointed home and backyard. Gracious and informative hosts. Outstanding breakfasts in the morning.
Small detail about not being able to adjust the upstairs rooms to a slightly lower temperature during summer nights.

It feels like home but also feels like we were far away!! Love the backyard
Hot tub! I was going to suggest that the TV in our room should be mounted on the wall. It wasn’t comfortable to watch the way it was set up currently.

This was my first time staying at a bed & breakfast. The Explorer House exceeded my expectations. The hosts were helpful and easy to reach if needed. The backyard was an Oasis. The room we stayed in came with all amenities; such as a blow dryer, which was helpful because I forgot mine. The room was clean, and the bed was perfect for two people. My favorite part were the decorations and pictures from her travels. It added a uniqueness to the room and house. This house is close to many wineries, restaurants, and a nice trail. You could even rent bikes if you wanted to explore the town. What I also enjoyed about staying at a Bed & Breakfast was eating breakfast together with the other guests. Niagara falls is a 25 minute drive and the outlet mall was 10 minutes away. :)

Our stay was exceptional! Deanna and Alec are so welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. The accommodations are excellent, beautiful, and comfortable. We enjoyed the fire table every night. We will return here and highly recommend this B&B.
Everything was perfect!

One of the best part of my staying was the breakfast. Magic!

Lovely property with extra touches (snacks, bottled water, makeup pads, etc). Beautiful decor (nature/wildlife photography), friendly owners, large bathroom with spa tub. Hot tub in backyard operating in winter despite icy conditions (side path was slippery). Hosts were very accommodating and breakfast was good.
Outdated technology with no streaming services (Bell satellite, DVD/BluRay). TV in bad location at side of bed, making viewing difficult. Would be better wallounted or on a movable table. Spa pillow would have been useful in tub.

Beautiful home and garden area. Fantastic breakfasts and wonderful hosts!! Will definitely be back!

Everything was exceptional, as good as any bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. Clearly a great deal of thought went into the design and operation of this B and B.
Perhaps it is that everything has become more expensive over the last couple of years but we did think the rates were beyond what even first class accommodations would charge.
The only minor criticism about the BnB itself is the size of the shower. Compact at best.

The maple walnut scones and homemade jams were amazing as well as the the eggs Benedict!

COVID did not allow for the traditional
B&B breakfast but the breakfast basket delivered to our room for us to enjoy on our balcony was lovely. And so thoughtfully packed
Location was perfect for us. Walking distance to bike rental place so grabbing our bikes for vineyard adventures was a piece of cake

The breakfast was a yuumy healthy choice and just what is needed. The service , warmth at the arrival that we got was just out of this world and you could not get it at any hotel accommodation. The location was perfect and the room was just luxurious. I would give this a 7 star rating and definitely recommend this property. Thank you Deanna and Alec Bishop for a wonderful stay.
Nothing at all....

I misunderstood the advertising and thought there was a small kitchenette in our room. This is not the case : it is just a bedroom in somebody’s suburban house and then they have a shared space in a hallway where they put in a kitchen for everyone to use. The property is about a kilometre from the historic centre so it is quite a hike to any of the restaurants, stores and the lake . It is just a bedroom in somebody’s home in suburbia, and that is not what we wanted.

Loved the decor and spacious sweet. Such a sweet host who thought of everything. All the little extras that really make tour stay memorable. Awesome breakfasts.

The property was immaculate. The whole house was cozy and decorated nicely. We stayed in the Serengeti Suite which was very appropriately themed. The private balcony looked onto the back yard that was equally as charming. The weather prevented us from enjoying the outdoor amenities but they were well maintained. The house was absolutely gorgeous, in a great location and the owners were a pleasure to meet.
There isn't much that I didn't like. The shower stall in our suite was a tad small for my 6'3" husband but we made it work. It was a lovely stay.

The Explorer inn is exceptional. Our room was well appointed and the Jacuzzi tub was a nice treat. Our breakfast basket each morning was delicious, piping hot and homemade . The backyard is beautiful and was a great place to sit and have a drink by the fireplace or in the gazebo. Highly recommend .
Nothing to dislike

His and her robes. Delicious breakfast on your own private balcony.
Beautifully landscaped property with a variety of places to relax and unwind.

We had a wonderful stay and fully enjoyed the premises from the garden to the room and the balcony. Too bad that we've stayed only one night. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. The balcony had a nice view of the garden and was a good location for breakfast. The lower temperature didn't stop us from enjoying the food, fresh air and the serenity of the neighborhood.
The owner was very nice and friendly. She gave us a tour of the house and garden, and explained everything to us. She also prepared a delicious and healthy breakfast.
The location is great for exploring Niagara on the Lake and the surroundings.
The shower was a bit tight and the water pressure could've been better. Enjoy the jacuzzi instead.
