The old building and great gift shop. People in the shop were so nice
Didn’t really get much involvement from the staff. No concierge and had to ask for a map and list of things to do.

We were traveling for an event Memorial Hall. The hotel was nice, very clean and would stay there again if I needed to be in that specific part of Louisville.

It’s a beautiful hotel, aesthetically pleasing.
The front desk didn’t answer the phone, room service didn’t answer the phone, there was no portfolio or room service menu in our room, the woman at the front desk was snappy.
The plus is the hotel was beautiful and the room comfortable.

Good location
The room did not smell clean. Smelled liked carpets were old and dirty.

The staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful, especially the Valet men.
The hotel is obviously a historic landmark and with that comes some of the old scents and smells that were not necessarily appealing. Also, our bathroom toilet had to wait to flush a second time, which was the biggest pet peeve. Use it once then have to wait for someone else to use it or it won't flush immediately for the other person.

Nice hotel, quiet. Staff was great.
The room AC made a lot of weird clicking sounds at times. First night I wore ear plugs so I child sleep. Third night I turned off the AC. it was really annoying and I didn't think anything could be done about it.

Front desk called to see how the accommodation was soon after checkin. Amazing location. Room was clean, water was hot on 7th floor, the ambiance was extraordinary! Such a spacious room with a comfortable bed! Parking garage just around the corner.
Also a really nice Turkish coffee shop right next door.

The air conditioning was broke. The staff attempted to fix it and it continued pump out warm air.

had a great time hanging in the bar and having dinner in the lobby area. piano player was great. room was large and well appointed.

Location was good. The historic charm was excellent.
The first room we were given was an accessible room. While that by itself is not an issue, the fixtures in the room felt outdated—not new, not historic, just outdated. The accessible room was also unclean. The bathtub has stains, there were dust balls in the corners, and it generally felt kind of dirty. However, they moved us to a new room upon request, which resolved all of these issues. I’m just not sure why they gave us the first room initially.
The wait staff in the bar area seemed cranky. The waiter on Saturday evening asked—make that told—us to put our phones down when he first visited the table. A few of us were researching bourbons to order at the bar. However, the front desk staff made up for this with their hospitality.

It is a grand old hotel steeped in history.
Staff were professional.
Expensive and no frills service. Everything is an extra charge. No perks.

I did not have Turkey in my Hot Brown. I think the same happened to someone else. I just dealt with it.

This is a stunningly beautiful hotel and the staff went above and beyond to make a birthday stay extra special. Cocktails at the bar are also fantastic! Unlike many hotels, the heating/cooling system works great.
I wish they would make some adjustments to be more sustainable by using glasses and ceramic mugs.

The hotel public spaces are beautiful and the staff is very nice & responsive.
Bad smell in our room - found the air filter to be totally clogged. Clearly not inspected & cleaned regularly.
Saturday morning no breakfast or even coffee available til 8am. Should have been 7am at the latest, at least for a Continental.
