Frühstück ausgiebig und sehr freundliches Personal am Buffet. Die Arbeiterklasse aus México hat es einfach drauf: herzige Menschen, die das sehr distanzierte Management vor Ort eigentlich nicht verdient hätte.
Wir kamen einen Tag später wegen einer Flug Stornierung erst am früh Nachmittag an, selbstverständlich schuldeten wir dennoch die erste Nacht, um überhaupt die Buchung auf Recht zu erhalten. Als wir wenigstens als einen kleinen Obstkorb oder Saft für die Kinder als kleiner Trost fragten wurde dies sogar herabsetzend abgelehnt, nach dem Motto, wir hätten Glück überhaupt das Zimmer noch bekommen zu haben, obwohl wir uns natürlich gemeldet hatten. Wir buchten das Zimmer in den oberen Etage, stattdessen bekamen wir mittig Etage 11 auf 26 Etagen und blickten auf die Nebengasse direkt auf ein sehr ungepflegtes Gebäude. Wir fragten täglich nach einer besseren Alternative und auch da 0 Bemühung seitens des Managements. Wenn es passt gut ansonsten kann man auch gehen!!!

The price to VERY expensive for such hotel quality, The staff makes you feel humiliated and treated in an ugly way, as if you live with them for free while you pay thousands of dollars. One of them named Fabi was very rude and agitated without knowing the reason, and he said, “I am the general manager and there is no manager above me.” When I asked him to speak to the duty manager, he said, “You don’t see me wearing suit, but I am the manager and it is as if I were a school student in front of him!
And he is completely disrespectful. These people need to be given rehabilitation courses and training in hospitality and proper conversation with customers.
In contrast to that, there was a Mr. Davis , duty manager was realy kind and a lady of Asian origins who was calm and respectful,
unlike the others of her colleagues who were arrogant.

The location was perfect, close to the Times Square but on a relatively quiet street. It's close to a well-connected subway station and not far from the Penn Station (so easy to get to from JFK). You can easily explore Manhattan on foot from here. The breakfast was way better than what we expected, good choice and the buffet was always replenished - the staff were really attentive to that. I liked that there were fruits in the common area that you could take with you, it's rarely the case. There was also drinking water available from a machine in the common area, and coffee machines in every room.
The elevator is noisy so if you hive light sleep, bring your earplugs! The furniture was old and used, there were stains on the ceiling, in general not a very welcoming feeling when you enter the room for the first time. The single-glazing windows do not isolate from the noise nor the temperature and the aircon is very noisy. But it was clean so we got used to the place...

Position of the hotel is very good as you can walk to most of the main attractions in Manhattan.
The rooms could use some refreshment but overall they are good sized and have anything you'd need, including a comfy bed. Room cleaning service was also very good (except for one day when they forgot to provide the clean towels and new soap).
The WiFi connection was very bad. It only worked sufficiently well on the ground floor, but in the room we had very often 0 connectivity. They did some maintenance during our stay: we saw no difference in the following days.
As for the breakfast, the food didn't taste fresh and was very basic and limited. There was no variety nor choice: everyday you basically had only one option for each food type and it repeated on rotation every other day. The worst aspect though was the lack of space. The breakfast room doesn't have enough capacity for all the guests and disrespectful ones are free to behave as they want without anyone from staff supervising the room: they take extra chairs, move tables around, sit for extended time even if they see other guests eating while standing. We saw some people "stealing" chairs from other guest's table whilst they were gone refilling their cup of coffee.
Breakfast rules are also not clearly stated: each guest is supposed to clean up the table and throw away their food waste before leaving the room, but most of the guests were not doing so causing even more discomfort and chaos.
The price of the hotel, given the overall experience, is not that convenient and feels inflated just to provide discounts: this way you end up paying standard price anyway, but thinking you scored a good deal.

No me gustó nada el sistema de cobro que tienen. Un día antes de llegar me retuvieron el precio de la primera noche, 300€ , el día de llegada me hicieron la retención de las siguientes noches , 8 en total y 2099 € . Después me pasaron el cargo del total 2399 € , así que en mi tarjeta quedó la retención de 2099€ durante los 8 días que estuve en Nueva York, además del cobro de la habitación. No me parece adecuado que un hotel pueda retenerte y cobrarte la cantidad que vale la habitación. Limitan tus recursos que pueden ser los únicos de los que dispones para pasar la estancia en Nueva York.

I loved the room & the view from the room. I had specifically booked a 'higher floor' room, and that's exactly what I got! Floor 25 out of 26, which had a great view - and going one floor up had a view the other direction of the Empire State Building from the terrace.
The lifts are very slow in the morning. There's only two fairly small elevators, and being on one of the top floors meant I had to wait a long time. The longest I waited for one (without it already being full) was 15 mins. That is a bit too long, to be honest.

Das Hotel, in dem ich bereits mehrmals übernachtet habe, liegt zentral am Herald Square. Direkt vor der Tür befindet man sich im Herzen von Manhattan. Nur eine Straße weiter steht das Empire State Building. Besonders schätze ich an der Lage die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten, mit Bus und Bahn in alle Richtungen zu reisen. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet: Es gibt Toast, Bagels, Obst, Müsli, Eier, Hash Browns, Bacon, Joghurt, Kaffee, Tee und vieles mehr. Meist findet man auch schnell einen Tisch, was einem täglich einige Dollar spart. Für den Fall, dass man das Frühstück verpasst, gibt es direkt nebenan einen Bagel-Laden. Dort erhält man für einen fairen Preis ausgezeichneten Kaffee und frische Bagels, die man sich individuell belegen lassen kann, auch mit warmen Zutaten. Das Personal im Hotel ist stets sehr freundlich. Wir buchen immer über die Rezeption einen Shuttle zurück zum Flughafen. Dieser kostet zwischen 80 und 130 Dollar, abhängig von der Anzahl der Personen und dem Gepäckvolumen. Die Abwicklung verläuft stets einwandfrei. Die Bezahlung erfolgt beim Fahrer; dabei kostet die Zahlung mit Kreditkarte mehr als in bar. Wer jedoch bei einem New York-Urlaub hier spart, spart am falschen Ende.
Im Keller befindet sich ein Fitnessstudio und auf dem Dach eine wunderbare Dachterrasse mit Blick auf diese beeindruckende Stadt.
Während der Stoßzeiten kann es zu längeren Wartezeiten beim Fahrstuhl kommen. Dies mag auf den ersten Blick als Kritikpunkt erscheinen, doch ist es im Grunde ein Luxusproblem. Das Hotel verfügt lediglich über zwei Fahrstühle, was in den Hauptverkehrszeiten eine gewisse Geduld seitens der Gäste erfordert. Es ist eine Situation, die manchmal ein bisschen Geduld abverlangt, aber im Großen und Ganzen handelt es sich hierbei um eine kleinere Unannehmlichkeit im Vergleich zu den vielen Vorteilen, die das Hotel bietet.

Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen und auch das Frühstück für ein 4-Sterne Hotel nicht besonders gut. Wir hatten das Hotel mit Rabatt gebucht (dann lohnt es sich, sofern man eben sparen will bei der Unterkunft) und würden es für den normalen Preis nicht empfehlen, da es dann modernes gibt für den gleichen Preis.

Muchísimo ruido. Las habitaciones que dan a la calle tienen ventanas correderas y muy finas que no aíslan nada, y se oyen todos los ruidos de la calle, incluso en una planta 14 como estuvimos nosotros. Pedimos un cambio de habitación, y nos movieron a una que daba al callejón trasero, y ahí estaban las máquinas de aire acondicionado del edificio contiguo, que aunque no hacían tanto ruido como los coches al pasar, seguían siendo muy molestas.

This is our second time stay in the hotel, and it was as good as our first time experience ! The hotel location locate in the center of midtown and close to everywhere you want to visit. The room is clean with good city view.

Diverse Essensläden in der Nähe (Taco Bell, Shack Shake, Roma Pizza -> empfehlenswert und noch vieles mehr). Genau wie ein CVS für z.b Getränke oder Snacks. Zimmer sauber und geräumig. Obwohl man mitten in der Stadt ist hört man wenig. Man bekommt aber auch Oropax. Dachterrasse vorhanden mit Blick aufs Empire State Building. Personal sehr freundlich. Frühstück bietet von Waffeln, Pancakes, French Toast über Toast bis hin zu Bagel, Cornflakes und warmes wie Buletten alles. Säfte, Tee, Kaffee und gefiltertes Wasser.

Hotel is really good value for the money. Big comfy bed, reasonable size of room, amazing location, there is a lovely view from the top floor terrace straight on the Empire state building, nice breakfast.
Wifi is horrible. It wasn’t working at all. Luckily my partner was able to use his mobile data in the US otherwise it would destroy our whole trip and this is the reason I wouldn’t go for this hotel again.

Otelin bir cafesi, restaurantı, barı yok. Roofta oturulacak bir alan var ama bar ya da cafe yok. Girişte lobyde küçük bir alan var. Koltuklarda yer bulabilirseniz oturup bir şey içebilirsiniz. Bir de sabah kahvaltısı için küçük bir restaurant var. 4 yıldızlı bir otelde doğru düzgün oturup bir şeyler yiyip içecek bir yer olmalı diye düşünüyorum.
