Disappointed stay,,

It was a disappointing stay

They locked the pool at 6 pm. on a summer day Breakfast was disappointing. No fruit was offered , The shower was slimy, and the AC was not cold , the floor to our room was not clean, still sandy from the last guest. The refrigerator was not wiped out and didn't get cold enough. The creamer next to our room coffee maker was expired , and the paint was cracked and chipping in the bathroom ceiling The grounds man was staring out of the office door all the time, they demanded we wear wrist bands while being there on the property, my son was not allowed to visit us while we stay there, we paid almost 500 for 1 night and the building was run down , we got locked out of the gate to access the back deck and had to go through the office to get back there and got locked out again when I walked to my room to use the restroom when returning the lady in the office seemed Annoyed when I knocked to open the door, the older man at the desk was rude when checking in , they were overly stricked for no reason, to the point it was uncomfortable and not relaxing, I will never stay there again and it's a definite rip off , not worth the money they charge. the things they advertise online are nothing like it really is, I woke up with the worst back pain from the bed . Never again will I stay there or recommend this place to anyone .

Très très très sale !!

Nous avons apprécié l’emplacement ainsi que la gentillesse du personnel (la dame le soir et le monsieur le matin). Très gentil et de bons conseils.

Nous n’avons pas du tout apprécié notre séjour. Des l’arrivée, nous avons hésité à annuler le séjour. Complexe ayant bcp de défauts. La piscine est au milieu du parking ! (Et dépourvu de parasol et autres). Et la chambre est très très très sale !!! C’est honteux, le sol n’est jamais nettoyé et à ce prix , ce n’est pas normal ! En pièce jointe une photo des pieds de mon fils après avoir marché même pas 5 minutes. C’est écœurant !

Sehr netter Empfang, happy hour mit gratis Wein und Snack, sehr gutes Frühstück. Zimmer sauber und schön, mit direktem Ausgang zum River mit Relaxestühlen.

Pool, neben der Strasse. War im März noch etwas vernachlässigt.

We really enjoyed this friendly, small town vibe on the water.

Location, breakfast and happy hour! Courteous staff.

A few simple things from the room, like tissues. Also, shower curtain allows water on rest of the bathroom floor.

Great location. Rooms need a thorough cleaning and maintenance/refurbishment.

Breakfast was adequate in quality. Had same single item for breakfast each day, scrambled egg casserole. They ran out of the different varieties of the egg casserole.

Should have a variety of breakfast options. Our room smelled musty/moldy. Air conditioner was very loud. Floors were dirty, especially the bathroom floor. Walls were stained. Grout was falling out of the tile in the shower. All baseboards were dirty and stained. Paint was peeling off the inside windows casing. Dead flies were on the window panes. No microwave in room. Had to ask for maid service. Check in is at 3:00. We arrived at 2:30 and were told to go away and come back in a half hour. The ceiling fan was covered with a brownish dust. “Happy hour” offered a bowl of trail mix, a few strawberries, and sliced carrots (disappointing). Found 2 spiders in my room.

Loved the view and the chairs outside the room on the deck. Bed was very comfortable.

Property is nice but is ready for some upgrades. Needs painted. For the price for a room, expected the appearance to be better.

Edgewater Inn for the WIN!

Room was clean and smelled clean upon arrival. Bed was comfy and also smelled fresh. This property is maintained very well! Complimentary breakfast was delicious and you can’t beat the view. Quick walk across bridge to downtown St. Augustine. Rick was helpful and friendly…enjoyed talking with him at check in breakfast on day two. I can’t say enough about the view from this place.

Floor gets pretty wet from shower. Didn’t impact my stay but could be safety issue for others. Rick was great to interact with, but the female office person was the opposite. Not sure if she doesn’t like her job or just people in general.

Superb

The view was magnificent especially at night with the Nights of Lights. The breakfast was really good. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Too much light comes in the windows. Please add curtains to the windows. The blinds do not block any light at all. I felt like I was sleeping in a fishbowl.

Ideal location for exploring St Augustine.

Great location and view from the deck was perfect. Nice breakfast. Bed was very comfortable. Most of staff really nice.

Room wasn't cleaned great. There was a McDonald's cup on the table on the rear porch, and open sodas in the fridge. Coffee cups needs to be washed as well before we used them. Other than that the place was great

The staff was amazing and nothing beats laying in bed listening to the waves and looking at the bay.

sitting on the deck watching all the different bird,and especially!… the surprise pod of dolphins in the river. The sunset’s were spectacular also.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

Left early. Won’t be back.

The room was clean.

The office lady in the morning was not at all friendly and made us feel like we were a bother. The biggest issue was the room was very bright at night because there are no curtains. The outside lights do not shut off and light the whole room up. we ended up leaving after the first night because we couldn’t sleep. We didn’t find out until we arrived we could not fish on property even though there are pictures of people fishing on the property on other reviews. The Wifi hardly ever worked. The room was way overpriced.

We chose Edgewater Inn to celebrate my birthday because of all the high reviews I read but we were extremely disappointe

The location. The view sitting out by the river was amazing.

The water pressure was terrible & the sink was very slow to drain. The lighting in the front and back made it very difficult to sleep as it was very bright.
