Service, pool area need of maintained, not clean. Lots of staff standing around on their phones

Didn't have the breakfast cost to much.
I booked a king size room got double queen cuz they rented my room out before I checked in. The hot tub shouldn't have been open it was filthy I have pictures plus no coffee thier machine was broken and no pots in rooms. Worst stay ever

We went there for the pool facilities. The splash pad was fun for my children. The price of the room was reasonable.
The breakfast was horrible. The description on the menu was Belgian waffles and we got Eggos. The hot tube was brown water (that can’t be safe). The trash cans in the lobby and halls were overflowing.

The pool for the kids
Staff unprofessional, pool area needs serious update...most of kid area doesn't work properly, breakfast is rediculous. Spend 800 for a weekend and have to pay extra for breakfast which you barely get anything at all. Not all you can eat. A lot of repair needs to be done at this hotel, hardly any upkeep being done. I paid in advance and they charged my card again.

The room was spacious and clean.
The shower would take hours to drain. Informed housekeeping and it was not taken care of by end of stay.

location to my sons house.
desk clerk. stated if i wanted continental breakfast i should stay at the other holiday inn. this one has a free waterpark. water area dirty and not maintained. slides need paint. also floor around pool area is awful and the hot tub is falling apart down in the bottom lot of crumbly concrete.

The mini waterpark
I had issues throughout my whole stay. The breakfast package I bought they barely wanted to provide it to me I had to go back in fourth and they charged 100 hold fee. They kept blaming it on the third party and I paid in advance.

Water park for kids was ok.

Location was good for us and the beds were comfortable.
I requested a deluxe king room and got a queen. They said that bc I booked through a third party there was no guarantee of room choice?
The room had not been properly cleaned - stuff on the carpet, windows smudged and dirt,
Mirror not clean
Linens were aged, raggedy

The hotel and the water park are nice in theory!
They pool was dirty! like nobody was keeping it cleaned. Also the staff was very slow! we waited to check in for over an hour! and there was a mess in the hallways that was there our entire stay.

the pool area could be great if the main pool had been warmer. There were never any pool towels stocked and the entire facility needs to be cleaned and preventative maintenance done
this facility is not clean. The room had old towels in it when we arrived and the lobby, halls and elevators were dirty. Lots of maintenance is needed. There are stains on everything and most areas are run down and dirty

The location and the pool
The room wasn't clean properly. Found hair in the shower, that wasn't mine. Used a shower at my families home near by. I was pretty grossed out.
0.5 / 5.0
I like that the receptionist was very patient and reassuring. Knowing that some things wasn't in their control
I didn't like that it wasn't more than 1 receptionist on duty during check in hour.
Didn't like that I asked for 2 rooms and only got 1.
I didn't like that I was looking for complimentary breakfast to find out we had to pay for breakfast
Didn't like that it was no warning of $100 being took out my bank account which created over drafts.
I would have made sure to have that amount in my checking account for that purpose. It's been 24 since check out and Holiday Inn amount ($171 & $100) is still pending.
Didn't like the children running through halls at night. If it was my Black children that then we would have been put out facility or police would have been called for disturbing.
Wasn't able to relax in the jacuzzi cause of so many kids in it. I thought that was for adults only.
Didn't like that window screens laying across the sidewalk.
I assumed better with it not being a big facility.

the nasty pool
1.0 / 5.0
Positively, the beds were comfortable.
I booked this ahead of time as a Christmas gift for my kids in lieu of gifts. When we arrived and checked in, the room we were given appeared used. We only got as far as opening the door before seeing the messed up bed and walked out so I can't say if the rest of the room was messy or not. We were given a different room. Which had something sticky on the bench, "hot spots" had dirty fingerprints and the shower had pink slimy 'mold' in the cracks that had caulk. The pool and hot tub were just plain nasty and too gross to use. Check out the picture attached. The hot tub actually had a couple inches of foam floating on the water (which is usually caused by not sanitizing properly) and there was dirt on top of the foam. There was no continental breakfast, just a restaurant area where you could order food but the portions were tiny (one of the kid's breakfasts was around the size of a quarter of a waffle and two strips of bacon). Not nearly enough to fill anyone older than a 1 or 2 year old. None of our orders were correct and we received someone else's bill. We opted to go to ihop the second day.
There's more to mention, but for me personally, that is more than enough for me to never stay there again and has made me wary of all Holiday Inns. Very disappointing Christmas gift for our family. Get it together or close your doors before you get shut down!

This hotel does not have complimentary breakfast. We went out to a restaurant.
We were told the pool was heated. To me 70 degrees is not heated. My grandson barely went in it. He did love the splashpad which had warm water.

The staff was fantastic.
The pool area needs a little updating & they did not have the free breakfast as advertised.
