rooms are a funny layout as it’s converted from a office building, but well done

Excellent stay at the Kimpton. Staff were friendly. Free bike hire was simple and only a few mins cycle to the lake and the trails there. Loved the free tea and coffee station in the mornings. Room on the 11th floor was large, well equipped (great bathrobes for guests!) not too noisy and the bed was super comfy. I was able to check my bags after I checked out & collect later.
Nothing. It was a great stay.

We paid for a king size premium room and was given a queen size bed. Other than that, our stay was good.

Gorgeous art deco building. Very well updated

Location was great. As was the room
The entrance on Monroe St. was confusing, should be better signage to reception.

The staff seemed a bit pretentious given the brand.

AMAZING customer service. We were there for a birthday weekend, and there was a birthday card and complimentary prosecco waiting for us in the room. I got a text from the gent who check us in 10 minutes after check-in, saying to ping him if we needed anything. AWESOME.

The spa tubs and bathrooms are lovely.
There’s a lot of miscommunication between staff and the attached dining options and amenities. No one has a straight or consistent answer. I spent a lot on a spa room for a weekend getaway and none of their spa services were available because they have no staff for those positions. I’d tried getting an answer for weeks prior to coming and was finally told after checking in that it wasn’t an option. Would have stayed somewhere else.

location
the service was not good. valet was not at the counter when I was coming in. i never got a apology or any concern.

It’s a beautiful unique historic building, a short walking distance from the Lyric Opera and other venues.
The bathroom door would not stay shut. Wish the minibar would be stocked.
4.5
It was clean and fancy.
A marathon shut the road down and we got stuck there when we had plans. That wasn’t the hotels fault, however. I would suggest adding a gluten free option to the breakfast muffins, for those with allergies.

everything was upscale and super comfortable
an upscale hotel should be using premium toilet paper!
4.5
The staff, especially Marisol at the front desk and the door men, were very helpful. No pressure on check in or check out times, Even my room facing the street on the fourth floor was quiet. Some simple amenities like iron, ironing board and umbrella were quite welcome and useful. Soaps, etc. were good quality.
The restaurant food was good, but I was not overly impressed withe attitude of the staff and service was a bit haphazzaed.
4.0
beautifully designed
expensive and felt like for a premium price we didn’t get many personal touches
