We are from Canada and needed a place to stay close to Richmond Park as my daughter was attending the Royal Ballet School’s summer intensive program. Peter and Nikki’s place was perfect for our needs as it is located right on the outskirts of the park and it took only minutes to bring my daughter to and from the ballet school each day. The studio was large and bright with a wonderful view of the back garden, and the house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in East Sheen away from the bustle of traffic. The full kitchen allowed us to easily prepare our own meals, with Sainsbury’s and Waitrose only minutes away for groceries. Peter was good enough to provide us with some basics such as milk, cereal, tea, and coffee to get us started on our first day. Our visit was quiet and relaxing, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay or more welcoming hosts. We look forward to returning again one day soon!

My friend and I stayed here on a recent vacation. The hosts were lovely, even making sure we had been able to order dinner on the first night since we arrived late. The apartment is spacious and met all of our needs. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to Richmond Park. It was an easy walk to the train station to get to the city.

For our two-week stay in the London area, we needed a comfortable, welcoming place to serve as a home base. And we certainly found it in this lovely East Sheen studio!
We did not rent a car, so we did a lot of walking — 12 minutes to the nearest bus stop, 20 minutes to the nearest train station, and about 35 minutes into the center of nearby Richmond. We were very close to Richmond Park, and about a 40 minute walk to Kew Gardens. We very much appreciated the comforts of the apartment after a long day of sightseeing and walking.
Part of our plan was to have two meals in the aparment, and lunch out. The well-designed kitchen made it easy to do this. But if we didn’t feel like cooking, there were two pubs within a few minutes walk. And at the end of the day, the very comfortable bed gave us a good night’s sleep.
Our host, Peter, was very accommodating and supportive while at the same time respecting our privacy. It was great to have our own entrance to the apartment. The neighborhood felt very safe, even when walking home after dark.
We loved our stay in the London area, and this was a great place to base ourselves!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the peaceful location next to Richmond Park. We did not have a car, yet that did not stop us from getting around . It is an easy walk to the main street where we took the bus into Richmond. We also took the train into central London for a day trip. Richmond Park was fun to explore. The modern conveniences of the studio apartment made the stay a pleasure. We also went to the two nearest pubs, The Victoria and The Plough, they were both excellent. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed here while visiting London. It was an easy train ride into the city. London was extremely hot when we visited. It was relaxing to return to this quiet, cool studio for a relaxing evening.

blessed with perfect weather to enjoy access to Richmond Park and also the 1/2+ walk to shops and transportation. The two pubs within 5 minutes' walk offer excellent beers, cocktails, and food. The studio apartment is well equipped, albeit with a tiny bathroom, and offers nice seating area and a queen-sized bed with a view of the pretty garden.

The studio suite is large and spacious, a s the location very quiet. We enjoyed our vacation time here - the back garden is very pretty a d secluded and has access to East Sheen Park and Richmond Park. You will feel like you are not in London at all! Richmond is a 45 min walk through the park and along the river (or a shorter bus ride away). East Sheen high street and Mortlake Train Station (which takes you to Waterloo) are a 20 min walk away. Two amazing pubs are 10 min walk away. This is a great location to "get away from it all" yet not be too fsr away at the same time. Check in and out was easy, and the hosts were lovely - provided tea and milk and a few other condiments. I recommend you stay here if you want access to Central London and a nice local getaway at the same time.

First of all, the hosts were so helpful and hospitable!
The cottage offers everything you need for a great home base for exploration of London and beyond. The spacious area is tastefully decorated and offers a lush garden — complete with tree swing, sculptures, and romping fox kits and mama! We loved it.
Nighttime offered complete silence for a beautiful sleep. Although you’ll need to walk to the Mortlake Rail Station to access trains (15 min), the walk takes you through a lovely residential community. We didn’t mind it and knew that was the price to pay to get out of hectic, noisy London and the small and expensive hotel rooms we’d find there.
We bordered Richmond Park and trekked about to see the deer, King Henry’s Mount, etc. The park is amazing. We rented bikes on one day and walked around on the other days. So much to see for nature lovers — right next to the house.
We’d definitely return and we highly recommend.

Great quite, clean , comfortable in safe and private location. Nicely laid out 1 room flat with private bathroom . Well equipped with full kitchen, laundry , internet and TV. Everything one needs for a home away from home.
Easy 15 minute walk to several restaurant, pub choices , Waitrose grocery store. Bus stop is the same 15 minute walk. Train station is 25 minute walk providing easy access to anywhere want to go in city.

Lovely green space to wake up to each morning.Magpies & squirrels in backyard. Very quiet but a bit too far from rail/ bus links to London. Great local pub very friendly. Does need a bigger Fiona ie queen size rather than what appears to be a double when a couple staying. As an Aussie, also prefer a top sheet underneath doona. Enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Lisa & Peter

My fiancé and I were looking for a place to stay outside of London near parks the week before my marathon so that I could continue my training. We found this amazing little gem and could not be happier with our stay. The studio it’s self is very big, very clean and had everything we needed from a washer to a full kitchen. The wifi is great for those who need to work at home and Peter and Niki are very sweet and responsive. It’s out of town in a beautiful neighborhood and we absolutely fell in love with Richmond. Highly recommend staying here as we will 100% be back.

We have spent the best holidays in Peter and Niki's place. Beauty, relax and nice walks along Richmond Park and nextdoor woods have acompanied us during our stay.
The house was clean, well equipped with even Netflix and we could watch films we always wanted to see.
Thanks Peter and Niki for your kindness and warmth.

Just Perfect!
Peter and Nikki’s cottage was perfect in every way. We loved the views of the garden, had a great dinner at the Victoria…just down the street. We needed Peter’s help on a couple of occasions and he could not have been nicer. (Clueless Americans that we are 😁). The bed was super comfortable, WiFi worked well. The kitchen is well stocked.
Our daughter and her family live about a 12 minute walk and walking back to the cottage at night was completely safe. Honestly, we will be back! Thank you Peter and Nikki for making our first foray out of the US since Covid just amazing. Until next time…🤗

Great stay
Had a wonderful stay at this studio- great location, friendly hosts, and a rental apt so well equipped that I haven't encountered it before! Thanks to Peter for also being very flexible with my length of stay and also offering to drive me to the station to go home

Covid-19 screwed it.
Had to leave the day after I got there because of the Covid-19 virus. But I love the place and will go back there as soon as I am permitted to.

A well equipped spacious studio
It was very convenient for us with a car. Bus service is about ten minutes walk away. Peter was most welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay, and would happily use again.

Happy here as I always am.
Peter and Nikki are the friendliest people. Even offered to pop to shops for me. In return I walked the dog. The house is lovely, except for possibly the really noisy fridge. but at least it works well, unlike mine. I have never been unhappy here. If it was available more I would go down all the time to say hi.

Nicely furnished and comfortable apartment with access to a lovely garden and beyond to the common and Richmond Park. The great location means that there is a bit of a walk (but a pleasant one) to the shops and busses. Owners are helpful and discrete. Highly recommended.
