Dave was a really lovely guy. We didn't meet Wendy, we just discovered that she cooks an amazing breakfast. Colebrooke House is beautiful and everything was absolutely spotless and breakfast was perfect. The bed was so comfy that we didn't want to get up lol. We would 100% recommend staying there.

Room was large comfortable and clean. Shower was nice and hot . View was over main high street but quite quiet. Owner was extremly pleasant and made us feel at home. well cooked breakfast and nothing was to much bother. parking was close by at £5.00 a day, prebooked with local council before leaving home. Great area for walking and exploring.

We found the bed a bit hard

The attention to detail from the welcoming note to the luxury biscuits and good quality tea/coffee on the room tray and the box of tissues is always handy.
The mattress was quite soft and the leg room getting out of bed on one side was very narrow.(Standard double)

Quiet and clean..
Cold bathroom, breakfast (to be paid for) supposedly from 9.30 and then out by 10am, bit impersonal...

Everything was fantastic. Was probably our fault but breakfast was a bit late for winter days. 8.30 would have been better. Though in fairness forgot to ask the owners and I am sure they would have accomadated us, they were very friendly.

I arrived a bit late but clear instructions were left in reception.
The hotel does not have a car park so clearer instructions on where to park would have been helpful.

Accommodation was clean and spacious, host was very friendly. Great breakfast. Short walk to local car park which is reasonably priced at £6 per 24 hours.
Minor detail, but I would have liked a shelf / tray in the shower cubicle for shampoo etc.

Exceptionally clean room and very hospitable host. Breakfast superb (proper filter coffee) There’s a lot of choice locally accommodation wise in Beer (and I’ve tried them all) For the money, Colebrooke will be getting my vote next time.

Check in was easy, lovely note left by the owners saying what room we were in. Breakfast was a lovely selection of cereals, fruit, of cooked. You could mix up what you wanted cooked so we had several options to set us up for the day. The location is superb as the walk to the beach each morning was a lovely way to start the day. The room was a good size, bit warm but we adjusted. The car park is only round the corner from the B&B and once the owner had explained the quick way to it, it was only a 2 min walk.
The room we had (8) had the only window in the far corner so getting any sort of breeze in as it was warm was a bit of an issue. We had several nights of good sleep but there were a couple where the warmth was an issue. Also, there is a small window on the bathroom wall. When the light goes on at night, the window allows the whole room to be lit up. Maybe some small curtain or something there could be put up?
