The location of the hotel is great, from the outside the hotel is also very beautiful.
However, the rooms are in a terrible state: dirty, mold on the walls, in one of the rooms we had - moldy wood was hanging over the bathtub. In the other room, the sink was clogged, there was no hot water, the bathroom is flooded every time you take a shower... And, oh shame if you have a room without air conditioning , it's unbearable!!!
3.5
Nice grounds, authentic baliense buildings
Very dirty rooms, staff not welcoming or helpful, the guy working kept trying to sell us boat tickets instead of asking about our stay.. it was a bit intimidating after we told him no a few times.. Glad we only spent 1 night. We also did not receive the complimentary massage stated in the booking. Towels in the room were rock hard and discoloured/very old. The linen had stains on it. Bathroom full of mould and ants. Not hygienic. The whole room had a horrible smell.
3.5
The property location itself which is both an advantage and disadvantage- advantage as it is city center and it was super close to almost all attractions, disadvantage as it was on one of the busiest streets in Ubud which made it hard to walk during the day, a bit overwhelming and at night a bit secluded and scary

Location
Cleanliness, more than one trash can, and helpfulness from staff needs to improve

It is very accessible, quiet, clean and staff are nice. I love their sheets and pillows, very comfortable.
We were on the 3rd floor, and we had big luggages, which was difficult when we carried them going up and then when we went down upon check-out.

The old architecture and character was why we stayed here :)
No welcome massage available, no big deal but we were looking forward to it:)

Location was right in the middle of Ubud, within walking distance of many things.
Clean room and bathroom.
Easy check in and out.

Peaceful surroundings, close to market place and walking distance to things. Loved the daily breakfast served
Room was a little damp and smelled musty. Sleeping in the bed made me feel itchy, like there were bed bugs

staff were lovely and very close to ubud and monkey forest etc, really good for travellers or those not spending much time in the hotel
We arrived and had filthy unwashed bedding asked for it to be changed and they gave us a wet sheet because the cleaners had gone home.
if this had been changed on the first night properly it would’ve put our minds at ease.
ok if you’re used to hostels as the rooms were decent sized

stayed here for 2 nights, was a good spot to sleep in (close to a lot of things) staff were nice & bed was comfortable
unfortunately I think the air conditioner needs fixing, it was very hot in our room and the internet / tv didn’t work

Great central location. Easy shopping lots of local eateries.
Fridge not working in the room. Lots of confusion trying to communicate with staff.

Located in centre of Ubud, everything was near by. The staff was friendly and they tried their best. Pool was amazing. Breakfast was good! Room was nice clean and had an amazing view!
The bathroom in our room had no working lights, after asking to fix the receptionist went to ask someone but no one came at the end. The shower pressure was super low and the sealing in bathroom was falling apart from mould. We asked for laundry service that they offered, as mixed colour were washed okay white coloured laundry came out with yellowish stains/colour.

it was close to the ubud market and all the restaurants and pubs. Good, decent size room and clean bathroom.
The wifi speed could have been better. We had to sit on the balcony to google stuff or browse social media.

Lovely traditional rooms, we only stayed there one night there. Overall experienced wonderful staff, great location and lovely hotel.

A magical place with beautiful architecture and old word charm, so cheap for such an amazing place

Even if it's located in the center of Ubud, it's a very quiet spot, which is a good escape from the noisy Ubud. The staff was really nice, they can help with services like laundry, transport or other needs.
The room was clean and the installations are in good contidion. It's well located, at the center of Ubud, and you can find lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
There was not much light in the bathroom.

good location, with parking for motorcycle. Excellent breakfast
the massage was not available. they give us 2 bottles of water instead of the massage

Absolutely stunning hotel in the heart of Ubud close to the market and 2 incredible restaurants (locavore or nusantara its slightly cheaper sister restaurant although expect to pay Western prices) which you have to book in advance but worth going to. The pool is small with a discrete shallow area for children but is a delight. Breakfast comes with fresh fruit which is delicious and a choice of western style eggs. Having had a few variations recommend the banana pancakes. Really charming, would stay again.
Unfortunately the smell mentioned by others definitely makes the bathroom unpleasant but didn't impact on the main room and is bareable and how much of your holiday do you really want to spend in there?
Whilst they don't book tours to be honest, you're better off paying for a motorbike guide, really reasonable way to see the sights with the natural ventilation as you fly by rice terraces.

The whole atmosphere of the place is amazing! The pool was nice, the breakfast as well and the rooms were very good.
The only thing was that I couldn't stand in my shower because the top couldn't reach the handle?

Sanias house is the most centrally located hotel one could think of. The art market is literally at its doorstep.
We booked a triple bed room and our room seemed recently renovated with beautiful woodwork, wood floors, fresh sheets and clean white curtains. We did a last minute booking and checked in late( almost dark) so had a little difficulty in settling in. Yet, the staff were very kind to help us with our baggage.
The best part of the stay was the breakfast. It was so delicious and wholesome! Loved it! Big thank you to the entire team for attending to us as we were travelling with kids.
Highly recommend their in house spa and massage centre. Didn't use the pool but it looked clean. Also, they were on full occupancy, which speaks about their good reputation and value for money.
Kindly install a few more lights around the property so we can appreciate the beauty of the place post sunset. Also the stairs and walking pathways could use a little scrubbing to avoid slips or falls.

Great location in the centre of Ubud. The property itself looks like it used to be an old temple - amazing architecture and intricate design. We paid £17 for a triple room so also great value for money 👌🏼
