very old nostalgic. quirky quaint. excel land facilities. excellent staff couldn’t have done more for me. goid was amazing. open fire was so nice to sit in. customers regulars were chatty so even though I was travelling alone I was welcomed in by everyone.

Breakfast was fine, and location was superb . Excellent position with large entrance porch to room which was very comfortable.
Nothing to be said here as everything was superb.

Nice size rooms in a very traditional pub. Good breakfast.
The rooms are a bit tired and in need of redecoration.

Lovely old pub in a beautiful location
A lot of steps everywhere but it is an old building and not a problem for me.
The restaurant staff were very good and dinner was excellent but there seemed to be an issue with the breakfast chef not being able to take more than 4 orders at a time and my breakfast arrived cold

The entire staff team were excellent. Hayden and Kim greeted me at the door, Adam was very efficient and Holly was great asset had to contend w with my emails.
The breakfasts w ere good and the Inn was able to cope brilliantly with our group of Old Shebbearians,a wedding party and an Inn full of customers.

Lovely country inn in a picturesque village. Our room was comfortable and well-equipped. Our evening meal was excellent, with a wide choice of menu items, and breakfast was good too. We shall certainly return.
Nothing, it was excellent.

Atmosphere was good and staff were friendly
Parking area was busy , however it was a Friday night and the bar was busy with local customers.

Nice old traditional Inn. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very quiet at night despite the room being over the main bar area. Breakfast well cooked.
Room was tired and in need of updating. I was expecting more from a superior suite. Bathroom needs updating.

I particularly loved the friendly staff who were happy to discuss the fabulous history of this Inn.
The food was lovely and amazing value.
When was the last time the bar staff wore ties ...fantastic.!
Nothing.

Friendly staff, clean room
Very poor quality bed mattress, it was very hard and very uncomfortable, hence a bad nights sleep, this should be better quality and comfortable considering the price of the room.

Everything!!! we had a great room, lovely and comfortable. Landlord and staff were so nice, nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was great and dinner was better! loved the location - quintessentially English pub.
Nothing!! it was a brilliant place to stay and we’ll be back.

staff friendly. our bikes were secured in their garage. dinner was nice. wifi good.
check in was at the bar with lots of noise. therefore we could hear a thing of what they were saying. the beds were clearly very ‘tired’. at breakfast we felt we were ignored…
coffe was from a coffe machine instead of being fresh.

lovely property set in a beautiful village. Room was clean, cosy and comfortable.
All was good

Breakfast was nice. When we got it.
Room wasn’t what we thought we’d booked. Although there was a heater the room was freezing cold because the window was warped and couldn’t be closed. We booked a room with a modern shower, but ended up with and old bath. room. Cold. Dusty dank. On checking in at the “bar” I was questioned about why as a couple of males (my partner and l) wanted a room with only one bed. Very embarrassing in front of customers in the restaurant area. Felt very uncomfortable at being made to feel uneasy about being a gay couple.
