amazing location and very friendly staff
4.1
The location of the hotel was perfect for our purpose, the food was very good,(best packed lunch we’ve ever had!), and the staff were fantastic; nothing was too much trouble; very helpful and friendly. A special mention for Sunil Kadariya, who was exceptional.
Rather drab outside appearance, and very tired decor inside.
4.1
The view was lovely. The staff very friendly, plenty of tea and coffee, we did run out but asked for more and they provide us with more
Water lovely and hot
Bed sheet had a coffee stain on it. Radiator dial broken, however, wasn’t too hot in our room.

Dinner was outstanding - The excellent Chef is the selling point for this hotel.
The room was a bit dated, wallpaper peeling, furniture a bit tired

Dog friendly hotel only twenty minutes from Plymouth and on the edge of Dartmoor.. Comfortable , clean room with small balcony providing a lovely view of Plymouth in the distance. There is a bar and excellent restaurant on site with a good selection of tasty meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

the location and the food make this hotel a worthy visit. The staff are new and still, very keen to please, finding their feet as it were.
nothing really, to be childishly picky I am not a fan of the style of wash hand basin. Too impractical for me. But as I say that is childishly picky.

Room was good and mostly clean (except the toilet). Staff were friendly and helpful. Location excellent
No wifi that worked in my room. Worked downstairs but very slow. Evening Meal was OK but overpriced for what it was. Breakfast was nice but very small portions and therefore over priced.

Great breakfast, staff very friendly

Kept up all night by noise. Hotel run down.

Location amazing. Breakfast good

Food was outstanding and really really really good value. They accommodated me at evening meals although I am a very fussy vegetarian, and went out of their way to make me a meal that they didn't even have on the menu. Breakfast was outstanding also although I would have preferred a fake meat sausage and not the vegetable filled sausage. Eggs clearly free range and poached eggs were beautiful.
Bathroom cleanliness - really needs a deep clean in bathroom. Especially where the shower panel is.

The hotel staff were very friendly, and gave excellent customer service. The room you could tell had been freshly cleaned the floor in the bathroom was practically sparkling, and the room felt fresh. It was light and airy for a single room. Definitely well looked after.
I'll nit pick a little here, the bed was hard to fall asleep in as it kept bashing against the wall creating a loud bang that echoed. The only other thing I'll say is that the heaters either don't work or are too old fashioned for some of us to figure out. Plus too close to the bed to not be consider a fire hazard.

no hot water, one bulb worked on the lights, paid for expensive breakfast which was wrong and was delivered was not very nice, it was very expensive for what it was.

Convenient for the ferry at Plymouth, restaurant food and breakfast was excellent.
nothing comes to mind

The location is amazing. The food in the evening is excellent.
The breakfast could be improved there is no fruit or fresh orange juice, toast, butter and jam are limited although I expect more would be available. The continental breakfast is just toast and a small packet of cereal

Stunning area and views, staff were very friendly, food was very nice. Great location for where we needed to be.
Room needed decorating was very dated, bed was very unsteady, thought it was going to fall apart. Room looked very tired and needed some care and attention.

Didn’t, became obvious it used to an old peoples home, the odour, but then the broken bell on reception, room 2nd floor, open balcony with dogs either side, Rottweiler staring into our room. Plaster Board rooms, conversations, door banging constantly dogs, everywhere, did not make for a restful weekend. We lasted 3 hrs. and left!!!
as already stated above

the staff were excellent, a happy bunch who couldn’t do more for us, food was superb, great service
property needs a little updating, but overall was good and clean

Fabulous location. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. Overall fair value for money.
The bedroom walls are rather thin - take ear plugs if you'd prefer not to hear the nocturnal activities of the next-door bedroom. The bedroom doors slam shut - this is fine if you're an early riser, but don't expect to sleep beyond about 7am (unless perhaps you are wearing the aforementioned ear-plugs, which may help muffle the banging of other bedroom doors a little).

Good location for bike trip
Owner not very friendly or helpful. Did not make stay very welcoming.

Staff were amazing and very welcoming. We arrived late Friday evening after some minor hiccups. Was greeted by a lovely young lady who checked us in quickly and offered us a table in the restaurant even though we didn’t make a reservation. Everyone greeted us with a smile and enjoyed a friendly conversation. Service all round was quick and efficient and made our stay that bit more enjoyable. Also the food in the Restaurant is amazing 10/10 rating for the kitchen staff.
Room could of done with a freshen up before arrival as it was a little dusty and didn’t smell fresh. The clean could of been abit more thorough as we found crumbs under seating cushions and pipes under toilet was not up to standard with the rest of the bathroom.
